I'm an American. When I listen to things like this, I am reminded of what a cultural bubble I live in. My country has such wealth invested in film and music that I forget how we have not only come to dominate the world in these ways but thereby to hide from ourselves the genius of other peoples. There are magnificent talents everywhere. That is part of the joy of being human. And it lies at the heart of what helps us all bear the pain and suffering of life, as well as to share its beauty. Thank you, Quichotte, for compiling this amazing collection.
I glad you understand what you have said and there is some fantastic music from all around the world. North America has fallen into a POP bubble and we need to get out of it.

Americans dominate the world? Ya sure LOL. What a dumb point of view. Im from germany and our economy and politic is MUCH better than american ones and we still dont live in a bubble and we would never say we dominate anyone. But at least you realized that there are more countries in the world..thats cool!
I guess its not your fault, cause ppl in the USA learn to be nationalistic, even in school. They praise their flag and think their country is the best in the world, which is even more ironic when u see what presidents they got and how behind their politics and health care system is. Im not saying every american is like that, but there are ALOT and I rly wish them to become more open minded!
Before you start insulting me, try to step out of your "american perspective", you as a person are totally fine and a wonderful human being, its just a cultural problem, many americans have!
@@cobrax236 Perhaps because English isn't your first language you didn't understand what was being said here: I only referenced the subject of the original video, which is music, and I also mentioned film. It's indisputable that the US dominates world culture in those two areas. Btw, I was born in Regensburg, grew up speaking both English and German, and later served 3 years in the US Army in Frankfurt. I've also lived and gone to school in the Near East. And in graduate school, I studied the history and culture of Latin America. So, I am familiar with cultures other than the American. I'm not waving the flag. I'm saying that Americans are so wrapped in their bubble that they (we) often aren't even aware of other cultures. That's been a problem for a long, long time: well over a hundred years. The Internet is finally beginning to break that down. Thank goodness.

In a world being torn apart by hate instead of love, sickness instead of health, divided by color, the size of your wallet, and so on, I just spent the most beautiful hour traveling around the planet listening to one thing that we all enjoy-the beauty of music. Music doesn’t care where you live, what you own, your so called status in life, or the color of your skin. Music may be listened to by our ears, but it is felt by our hearts. Simply astonishing video, and I thank you for the share.

The Chinese performers......this is why it is worth watching talent shows around the world...a true eye opener! There is some amazing talent out there just waiting to have the spotlight shine on them....this couple is amazing! Their voices are original....emotion filled and have a warmth that just wraps you in ease!

It always amazes me that singers, regardless of their ethnicity, language or cultural differences, are able to evoke an emotional response from their listeners. My ears had no idea what the majority of these people were singing but my heart and soul heard and the tears flowed. Thank you Quichotte.

Music knows no ethnicity, religion, gender or race...it's music! Yes, it may be a native tune or a popular music choice but in the end we listen to enjoy and reminisce, share memories and love! 💖💖💖💖💖💖

The Asiatic person singing at 41:10 has the MOST BEAUTIFUL, and ETHERIC voice I've heard in a long time. Didn't understand the words but the voice, vocal tones, and melody truly are transcendent. THANK YOU

That version of "Make you feel my love" [6:39] is the sweetest, most beautiful, poignant and musically brilliant that I've ever, ever heard. Two wonderful voices that fit together so well and did so much justice to the original. Absolutely gorgeous performance from both singers! :D
Yesterday I discovered this video and was totally in shock when I heard them singing this beautiful Adele's song. I was completely in tears and I'm a guy in his late sixties.. Meanwhile I've listened to this incomparable duo a few times more, and everytime the tears come rolling again... SO intens, true and heartfelt, my God, I'm still speechless!
@@Lajos279 Well, I'm a guy in my early sixties and I'm the same, really. The singers move me so much, and to hear these two doing such a great job of this song was really moving. I found the girl's voice to be so rich and the guy has great passion. You could see what it meant to him to perform in such a great duo. I loved them and listened a few times. :)
@@Lajos279 This really was a beautiful performance .. the song was written by Bob Dylan and made famous by Garth Brookes with Adele honoring the original Garth version 10 years later in 2008. It is a Classic song done by many greats... this was incredible.

All of these singing shows around the world shows just how much talent is actually out there and that actually becoming famous has more to do with your "look" and "luck". I suppose it also comes down to who manages you.
That cover of Wicked Game was the weirdest, coolest, most hauntingly strange and beautiful and unique thing ever. Wow

Oh, my soul - during the Russian quartet, I realized I was sitting w my mouth open. There is nothing on the planet as riveting as strong, passionate human voices lifted in song. New respect for any contestant if that blonde coach turns her chair, b/c w a voice like that, she's earned the right to judge.
She also appeared in the current season of The Voice Russia.

This was astonishing!! I particularly LOVED several singers. The 4 person Russian group was outstanding! They gave me chills! The first young lady reminds me of Melanie, the flower child from the 60's, and the guy with the mohawk haircut and the guitar was beautiful. The 2 guys,( Brothers?) had an outstanding harmony. This kind of stuff I could listen to all day!

Li Qi & Zhao Qi did a phenomenal job on their song. Her voice is so soft and tender, yet powerful enough to soar through the song when it calls for it and his voice is very different but friggen amazing. Great duet.

I am a South African and I thought we had diverse cultures.
This is the most touching compilation of talent I have seen in some time. I don't understand many of the lyrics. I don't have to. I am brought to tears by almost every performance. I cry for the human condition that produces such emotion. Why are we so far apart when we are so close in spirit and soul? Will this world listen to music and heal? I find myself wanting to embrace every performer.

55.50 Delta Goodrem singing with Indigenous Australian Gurrumul is just other worldly, both the singing and the meaning behind the song was just so very beautiful and poignant.

I find it amazing that even though I don’t understand the words being sung in some of the songs, it can still move me emotionally like it does. Certain notes just hit that perfect resonance and it’s emotionally charging.
