dude... 10 years ago, when i was in middle school, this video (and dance) was all the rage and insanely popular. I can't believe i found it again on youtube, but i made me remember all those fun times
the video comes with the basics but outside you can learn more steps from other people. i dance dnb for 3 months and i don`t know many steps. But i know them well. Greetings From Romania.
I was best man at a wedding and was the only one who remembered anything about DnB dancing so everyone followed ME! I'm glad to see I didn't totally f it up! Got some good tips in this vid. Thanks PS, it was funny watching you attempt to do the fancier stuff :p
Wicked tutorial bruv !! You make it look so easy... cause it is! Practice, practice, practice and don't be shy. I find that mimicking my foot moves with my hands helps keep me coordinated. I noticed this bloke does it too. Wicked!
@petricevic6 DnBhas 3 variations, heel lifted up, heel down, or the entire foot flat. After that it's all placement. Same thing as the Melbourne shuffle T-step, heel up or down, or completely flat, then it's just placement. On top of that we utilize the running man, and moonwalk/glide. And yes i understand that the running man isn't an original shuffling move, but it's apart of the dance, and still makes it a shuffling dance move as well as a hip-hop one.
u´r absolutely right undersquirl. there is no spacial way for dancing to dnb, it´s all about to feel the music. i also see guys and girls who dance real slowly to stuff like panacea and dieselboy and it looks good. by the way, nothing personally, but for me it looks like all russians have the same steps. in germany u see at least 10 different ways to dance in a club.
@HYSM90s my argument is that if you look into some roots of the more advanced dance moves DnB dance it looks similar to the c-walk variations and the basic shuffle is actually just the running man, and from my experience the running man is a easier move then the whole c-walk to learn, cause i learned it and taught it, but that's just my opinion i would like to hear others, what the think. i am open to learn :) p.s. its nice to have a discussion with you about dance, thats my favourite theme :)
great job man :P tryin to learn just from a vid alone at home is still a bit hard....its way better to go out and learn from ppl ^^ but with the vid you can get some of the basics thats kool (greetings from germany :P)
@HYSM90s you are right i dont doubt that, but my opinion is that tihs DnB dance style has actually much more room for variations or how you call it placements, than it shuffle has, because DnB has to my point of view a c-walk flavour and i can see much more room for this dance to evolve, but for shuffle, i think that i have seen pretty much everything, but i would be glad if someone proves me wrong... cause i like all style of dances, everyone has its own history and vibe to it... peace
Looks sweet is the dance called dnb step? I'm definitely gonna learn this. Rip shuffling everybody and there mo fo mamas are shuffling now to everything!!
how many of this underground rave dances are there???? i just found out 2 days ago about shuffle and now i know there is tecktonik, hardjump, brakedance, shuffle and now drumstep .... whish am i missing?
whats the first dnb tune thats played? and this is a helpful tutorial.. if you look on my page ive got the main kind of step (its better now than then) but if you could take a look and tell me what ya think mate nic eone ;)
actually i think you'll find although a lot of techno may have started in Detroit, drum and bass started in London from the late 80's/early 90's jungle scene
@petricevic6 Glad this hasn't turned into an argument and is more of a discussion, and yeah dance discussions are a very interesting subject. The the T-step is actually- by the general shuffler population at least- is the most basic move, it's what gives the shuffle it's uniqueness. Otherwise like you said it'd just be the running man. I do agree with it being an easy dance move. V-variations vs the T-step, is kinda close. The moves utilize the basic heel-toe movement. C-walk "overall" though is
The trick is to drink all the beers and then empty your mind of all thoughts. You will be steppin' to any old shite then, bit of Vivaldi and you'll be locking, popping, wobble crunching and hoppin' like a pro.
@leetfeetman man, you shouldn't hate on the people, like you knew everything when you started dancing, and one info: through mistakes at the fundamentals new dance moves and dances were born... and through this new american hipe to shuffle, actually this dance can be evolved, and not stuck to the same moves, all the shufflers should thank LMFAO cause they have shown this dance to a much bigger audience and maybe helped to bring shuffle on a new level... peace
@Locusthorde300 well, for me dancing is expressing your emotions not copying somebody else's. moreover, i'm actually more into goa and psy than dnb so that should explain my comment up there. It's not about learning it's about feeling and expressing. Impressing your friends with your new cool move you found on youtube should not be your primary concern when going out dancing and having a good time, but that's just me.
@JungleForces o man you should come to Romania, the goa/psy/dnb scene here is amazing!!!! check out "transilvania calling" videos on youtube and you'll get a feel for what's going on :D the groove of most people in romania is just fucking great man, we just love dancing and partying :D

Agreed. Although I did learn melb shuffle first....that might be why this is easier.
