    I like mine a lot. I didn’t have any issues with the sights being off. I do have the rattling front grip though. It’s not terribly loose, just a little that you only notice if you intentionally shake the gun. I do enjoy shooting it a lot. Sold my PDP because it was just too snappy to enjoy shooting. The PDP was way snappier than even my M&P Shield Plus and P365XL. The Canik Rival (polymer) seemed like a better gun, but its build quality compared to the M&P Competitor wasn’t close, just made me not want to keep it for the long term (the Rival). So I’m keeping the Competitor but will probably put an Apex trigger in it and find some real magazine extended base plates for it.

    • @The2AExperiment
      @The2AExperiment  7 месяцев назад +2

      I'm glad to hear your M&P is in good shape. @nightwoodguns reviewed the M&P metal a while back, and I believe he had some QC issues too, or maybe he had a bent front sight. If you haven't already, you should check it out. Either way, it is a good, well rounded firearm that can hold multiple roles. As to the front strap, as we said in the video, a simple piece of doubled up masking tape, laid under the strap corrected it. And nobody knows it's there. Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it.

      It's a solid piece. We were just shooting it yesterday because we had it ported from Floyd's customs. It's even better, and only cost $114. Money well spent. Very helpful, thank you. I’m going back and forth between the PDP Match Polymer and the Competitor. The main plus I see in the PDP is the trigger and I can always upgrade the Competitor trigger. So you helped me lean more towards the Competitor

    • @The2AExperiment
      @The2AExperiment  6 месяцев назад

      Sorry, my reply disappeared. The trigger in the PDP is definitely better, but as you said, you can always throw an Apex, or other trigger in it. We haven't shot the polymer match, and it is a little different than the Pro SD we have, but I cannot imagine it shoots differently. I know it is hard to do, but if you can shoot both guns, that is the best way to tell. There is a lot of subjectivity when it comes to firearms, as we all have different hands and preferences. I don't think you can go wrong with either gun, and they are both coming down in price. Let us know what you decide, and what you think of the gun you choose. Thanks for the comment.

    My Competitor also came with a loose front strap that was easily fixed with a little industrial adhesive. The trigger really smoothed out after just a few rounds. So far, it’s been extremely reliable and fun to shoot. Looks cool in two-tone, too.

      The lose frontstrap seems to be common, but as you said, easy fix. The two tone does look cool. We already have several all black M&Ps, so we decided on the all silver. Thank you!!!!

      @The2AExperiment  6 месяцев назад +2

      First, thanks for the comment, like, and sub. We appreciate it. Second, you asked me a question I prayed no one would ever ask. lol. I do not have the DH3, but we do have the 320 X-Five legion. I have held the DH3, and seriously considered getting one, for the amazing grip texture over the legion. It's a cool gun.
      Either way, that's tough - the competitor and DH3 are so different. The biggest thing they have in common it amazing grip texture and bang for the buck, but it's like comparing oranges to grapefruits.
      Shannon said DH3 all day. She really likes the Legion.
      I say, It really depends what you want if for. The Competitor is a do-it-all gun and they give you parts in the box to make it a duty gun, if you want. It is a jack of all trades kind of gun, that is good at everything, and bad at nothing - but not necessarily great at anything.
      The Legion, and DH3 are born for competition - and they are unique, because they are tungsten infused poly, they are heavy as hell, they have a light recoil impulse, but they are still a bit bulky/deliberate. The triggers are so different too.
      If I could only have one, as a range toy or competition gun, DH3. For a do everything gun, M&P all day. Now we have to make a video on it. LOl. Thanks again, for everything.
