Only about two or three decades ago Dubai was a very poor desert kingdom. The country only had about 10 years worth of oil in the ground. The Sheikh wanted better for his people so he transformed the country into a banking, development, luxury and tourism country. Today, only about 4 percent or less of their GDP comes from oil. He stated in an interview he wanted jobs, schools and hospitals for his people but could not depend on oil revenues so they turned to other sources, construction. Dubai shows what a leader can do when he/she really cares about their people. I admire the country and their leadership.
I was in Dubai April of 2010, this place is awesome I never seen anything like it despite that I have already been so around the world, I live and work in California USA and I give my respects to this great place in the world, I know for that will not be the last time me and my family visits the Emirates! what a great Super place, love Burj Khalifa as well! christian Vasquez (Los Angeles CA USA)
The winds at the top can exceed 90 mph so the windows are sealed apart from the leisure floors, the last 10 floors are the one's that really swing around though & if they weren't sealed the wind's vacuum effect would suck you & your furniture out into the atmosphere, you could be doing an aerial tour of the city for hours before finding yourself gliding into Israeli airspace, & without a passport or formal invitation, we all know how that tour would end!! .Beautiful and amazing structure.
Why do negative human beings look for any excuse to criticize or condescend I am grateful for this video. All of the real estate sites for Burj did not give such an in depth view I am grateful these lovely people shared their dream giving us a chance to dream eternal happiness to you and your wonderful family well done!
YES. i also am very proud of my country, we (Portuguese) back in time in order to wealth ourselves we had to set sail in the unknown and dangerous sea in search of new lands. We were the ones who started the Age of Discovering, we found most trade routes like with India, Brazil, Japan and many more and thats how we could enrich ourselves in 1500s. Our culture is very influenced by the sea, which was our primary resource. There is a story we can tell, unlike in Dubai, oil just created all that.
Ps - one positive thing, I'm not homeless, and have a very loving, supportive family, without them, I couldn't have made it through it all. I live in a small apartment in Toronto, been surviving on long term disability for over three years now, so I'm far from rich, but if being sick teaches you anything, it's to appreciate all that's good in your life. My parents, both in their 80's, are still with me, but on top of being sick myself, they're health is failing fast, and I'm their sole care giver, which I'd do gladly, no matter how sick I am, I owe them everything, but watching people your love that much fall apart in front of your eyes, is killing me slowly too....did I mention that as a side effect of the surgeries and treatment for cancer and Ulcerative Colitis, I also have a RA, GERD, osteoporosis, PTSD, chronic anxiety and depression, chronic pain, but to name a few. Why am I telling a total stranger all this? Honestly, makes me feel better to vent! Thanks for listening!
this is everything ! i am 24 years old and i want to buy a house in burj khalifa by the time i am 30 ! ive been to dubai over 6 times now visited burj khalifa twice . my brother stays there :) and there is no need to throw negativity on the people who bought an apartment.its their life , their wish. I dont see anyone of you donating money to them , so why does your opinion sound miserable as if you have something against them ! I have 2 villas in dubai and 1 in india . and i plan on buying this too . and i donate to charity and we co-sponsor children for education . A flat , car etc. are investments. Using 1,00,00,000 on a bottle of champagne or buying 15-20 birkin bags is stupid according to me.I love brands , but buying something so ridiculously expensive that you wont use more than 10-15 times is just stupid . Appreciate them and just move on.
you know friends, the pleasure is, in living simple lives.one can still enjoy good food, travelling, sharing & caring & be a part of the community.care for the unfortunate & down trodden.make our lives a blessing for others.the world is moving in this direction.people have left off lucrative jobs & are taking up to farming, running small eateries, organic farming & more. there is more to life.
+Blake Carnovale go to hong kong, it's my favorite. i've been to singapore, tokyo, hong kong, busan south korea, kuala lumpur malaysia, victoria canada, the whole west coast of mexico, dubai, bahrain, and sydney perth and fremantle in australia
It's great how you have a nice family and apartment and all that, I've always wondered what people with so much money do. Some things in life are unfair, though. Great people are born into poor families and make their own company/enterprise and become exceedingly rich, whereas lots of people are already born with a silver spoon in their mouth, and most are snobby, too. I just wanted to point that out, don't know why. Anyway, nice video! I like that song, too :) hahah
@Someone5778: Chicago and NY have a rich history. NY for example was a Dutch colony some 400 years ago and it has a lot of historical skyscrapers like the Empire State building. It was also where the first skyscraper was built. Dubai is just an playground for architects and oil sheiks, there isn't any history, it was a workers town some 10 years back before they got oil.
where did i mention UAE's economy? and you were also just comparing dubai with denmark. natural resources contribute to less than 10% of dubai's gdp. where as : Denmark has considerable sources of oil and natural gas in the North Sea and ranks as number 32 in the world among net exporters of crude oil. (wikipedia)
so a one bedroom is around 3 mil right? could you help me out with the prices, it would be very helpful, i have been searching the internet and have had no luck so far...i would like to own it not rent it...is that possible? please spare me some thoughts, very much appreciate your time, thank you
amazing! I know NY is built on solid rock . whats under the sand? I wrote a song called" castles in the sky" but it had nothing to do with these tall buildings.
@shirtfag dumb thing to say my friend. She's my wife, my lover, my best friend and the mother of my two beautiful kids... and she's gorgeous. Stevie Wonder could see that. Maybe one day when you grow up and leave your parents home you will be so lucky...
amazing city, but who's living there?? i have feeling that most of the buildings are empty:P does the europeans owns this houses and just coming there few times in a year?
Not bloody fair! Instead of being wealthy as I had planned, I instead was struck down with colon cancer at 20,and died twice already, 27 years later I'm still fighting....sorry for being a downer, but my hearts desire is everything shown in this video, and knowing my health will never allow me to work again, just really breaks my heart that I'll never have the chance at the life I know I was born to live. If anyone reading this has it all, you don't know how lucky you are! I'd work my fingers to the bone to achieve my goals, but when your missing 95% of your GI tract, driving is a challenge...just have to live the dream in my head, and accept reality of poor health, and a middle class life. If being sick for 27 years has taught me anything, I suppose it's to be thankful for what you do have...but still, after so many years of agony you can't imagine, I'd die a very, very happy man if only I'd get the chance to live a life of luxury, if only for a short while.
+Hacks for days VERY much so!! No words could describe the hell I've been through, both physical and mental, and while I'm lucky to still be alive, a big part of me yearns for a life of luxury. I've literally lost count as to how many surgeries I've had (over 20), resulting in a great reduction to my life span. I just turned 47 yesterday, I'm praying I can make it to 60 at least. One of the worst things is, I look "normal", because all my injuries are internal, baldness being the only lasting outwardly effect (never grew back after the chemo), so few believe me. If only they could see the scars on my abdomen, or my intestine, which sticks out of my side (it's called a Koch pouch, I have to intubate with a 12" catheter to empty it, NOT a pretty sight, but will send pics if no one believes me, usually shuts them up pretty fast). So now can you sort of get why I'm so desperate to experience a little luxury after so many years of wanting to die from so much agony?
+Hacks for days thanks my friend. So many have asked me how I made it through so much (just discovered today I need more surgery)...simple, like everyone else, I take it one day at a time, and keep breathing! Lol! Not much else I can do, but pray things will, eventually, improve.
Like leaving in a Hilton. If they like it, it's ok^^ It seems they r happy because they got an helicopter. ps: was looking for ppl climbing the building^^
@macram16 you don't know me my friend, i'm comfortable with who I am and what I've done in life but thanks for the positive feedback. All the best on your travels buddy
lol you wish..... i will be happy if get it one day but... now it will be a only wish for you... as you all can see they went to check the apartment for renting... or whatever because no one lives in an empty apartment as its shown in the clip ... anyways good video but the apartment is not too grand that makes you woow there are more beautiful apartments in Dubai than this...
That "apartment" (If you can call it that) is beautiful and all but seriously, who in the world needs all of that space. And I bet its expensive as hell.
You'll regret it when you feel like ordering domino's for the night and they tell you to come down to the lobby to collect it.
Honestly i can agree as there are like 50 lifts in the entire tower and you have to ride a few just to get down
If I had money, I'd love to visit Dubai. Good video. Thanks.

And don't forget to mention the mistreatment and subjugation of millions of foreign guest workers who keep Dubai running. They are treated like dirt.
j m isn’t that every country. Don’t act like us or Europe didn’t do the same
I'm sure those Indians get paid more than what mexicans get paid here in the U.S for picking our vegetables.
ur so lucky my dream is to visit dubai one day..

GO Dubaï ... GO.. GO GO and Good Luck!
Nice Bird and Nice Pad mate good on ya
How much dollars did it cost your apartment?
800,000
@@therealchtv2113 it depends on what type of apt
It must give all us a warm, cozy feeling to realize that without our trips to the gas pumps, none of that would likely have been possible.
Only 4 percent of the GDP in the UAE comes from the oil revenue , the rest comes from banking , construction , tourism among other sources.

Beautiful city 💗💗💗 my friend ☺️
Breath taking!
I had no idea people lived there. I just imagined it was an office building like the World Trade Center. But, anyway, the apartment looks awesome!! :)

Que gusto da ver a la gente exitosa, disfrutando de su trabajo 👊👍✌( lo digo a pesar de no tener donde caerme muerto 😅😅😎)
yes you are right. Thank you for your reply.
Thats a fantastic structure but I would fear fire.. They must have one heck of a fire alarm system built into it. Along with a sprinkler system...
I must ask. How is it living in Dubai??? Must be a great experience!
It's great cause I live n Dubai in burj kahlifa on the 84th floor

@creatiu sorry for my ignorance but what is a "caprice"? I thought it was a two door sports car made by Ford...
Yes you are right... Thank your reply.
I just have two questions for you. What do you do, and how do you do it?
I knew it was going to be this song or Darude sandstorm before I even clicked the link.
nice place! very envious
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
@13Psycho13 That's exactly the same thing I think, New York was and is the city that inspires the whole world to get the develop.
Is the Burj still doing really bad? I read that it was only at 25% occupancy, and like many places in Dubai it was oversold.
where did i mention UAE's economy? and you were also just comparing dubai with denmark.
natural resources contribute to less than 10% of dubai's gdp.

Too much hatred, not only here, in every video related to an Arab.
+q8 Almutairi Leave it to RUclips to turn a video about living in the worlds tallest building into a sexist or racist rant...
Maybe if they didn’t behead people
Your children make us hate you
Wow beautiful man!
Heavenly heights of Burj Khalifa.
@moesly1234567 thank you, the song is 'castles in the sky' by ian van dahl
How'd you get an apartment there? Aren't the prices astronomical?
I have two questions for you. What do you do, and How do you do it?
Hey great apartment!!
I think you look familiar, did you train at nouveau in the uk?
@dakulol I have considered moving to Dubai. I live in Toronto. Can you tell me more about what you like and dislike about it.
so a one bedroom is around 3 mil right? could you help me out with the prices, it would be very helpful, i have been searching the internet and have had no luck so far...i would like to own it not rent it...is that possible? please spare me some thoughts, very much appreciate your time, thank you

Coooool do you work in Dubai?
@Max, did you realise the irony of using this song for this location?
Like leaving in a Hilton.
If they like it, it's ok^^ It seems they r happy because they got an helicopter.
ps: was looking for ppl climbing the building^^
I gotta give you guys props. Did you buy or lease? :P
It's a hotel....
LOL. OK!
Actually is has apartments and offices as well.
Skates HD Given the fact that they're obviously tourists, I'm going to assume they stayed at the hotel, rather than rented an apartment
Thomas Torrissen We've lived in the apartment for the last 4 years, we still live there

are their condos on the top floor of burj khalifa?
No they are reserved for the mechanical components.
rich having money. what it means? having money means you helped and did something for world and the greater you done the greater the money
You don't have to be rich to take a tour of one of the apartments.
how much would that appartment cost in US dollars...?
DdI you buy this place?
rich people..
Great vid
I wonder if that building has its own power plant.
My country UAE!!!!!!!!!! :))))))
thumbs up if you can't afford this, not even working for 3 lives without spending any penny
congrats on yoour success :)
so how much does an apartment like this cost?
lucky... is it nice in canada?
It seems cool
That "apartment" (If you can call it that) is beautiful and all but seriously, who in the world needs all of that space. And I bet its expensive as hell.
