2:56 PM 7/15/2016 6 inch lift on a Colorado for a V6.... what size of wheels? I hope its something like 275/75 (or 70)/r18. Id rather go with a 3 inch lift or 2 inch and wouldn't go any bigger than r17s for a Coloardo unless its a V8 you could go bigger in rim size and tires if you wanted to. To be honest I don't like climbing into my truck especially since its a Colorado not Silverado (1500 series pickup trucks with V8s).
The wheels are 18x9 Rockstar II's. The tires are 285/65R18's. A 2-inch lift only allows for a 265/70R17 on the factory wheels. I don't believe the current generation Colorado are available with a V8, just a gas v6 and 4-cylinder diesel option.
That kit is $999.95, installation will vary depending on who you get to do it but should be $100 per inch and $85-$95 per hour. Tires and wheels are going to run around $2,600-$2800 depending on where you purchase those as well.
This kit comes with the brake line brackets that allow you to retain the stock brake lines. You just need wheels, tires and an alignment after install.
What style of Lug nut is needed for the rockstar 2 wheels that you show on the truck? I ordered some from another site after I ordered my lift and got to thinking that the stock Lug nuts probably won't fit.
got a question. just bought my 2015 Colorado Recently with stock tires and a sports package. what size and brand tires do you recommend with the 6 inch lift kit? also how much will they run me? i dont want my tires to look tiny once its been lifted
I will be buying a kit within the next month. Does this kit replace the funky front skirt bumper thing that hangs so low on the 2017? I love the light too. Does that come with the kit?
jesus, the Colorado looks really bad with a long bed. Since it's a mid size truck, short bed is the only one that looks right. And for all who say that this truck is under powered.... be quiet, not like you're gonna be hauling a boat or trailers if that was the case you wouldn't even look over here. Truth is this truck is much better looking than the silverado. nuff said.
The v6 in the Colorado isn't under powered at all. Whoever says that is a buffoon who's probably comparing it to a 3/4 duramax. The Colorado is pretty badass.
Phox HD depends on what you are using it for. me longbed is better for sleeping and camping out of the truck in the mountains. shortbed for your city queen trucks
Sorry we do not offer the overall height measurement due to tire sizes varying. We only offer the ride height measurement from center of the wheel to the fender.
@@RoughCountryTV Assuming I got everything the same as in this video, tires and all, could you then tell me? I assume it'd be approximately a 9 inch increase, but that's me adding 6 inches for the lift and 3 inches for the tires. The diameter for the tires (285/65R18) in this video are about 3 inches more than the stock tires on my 2016 Colorado z71.
No our warranty covers our parts only. We offer 3 years on shocks, 5 years on springs, 1 year on bushings and ball joints, and lifetime on crossmembers, knuckles and all other hard parts
If I buy this kit for my 2015 Colorado, can you tell me about how much I should expect to pay to have it installed by a mechanic? I know you cant give me an exact amount but just a ballpark estimate please??
+SaintJames40 it will be a little more heavy and you might feel it a little in the steering but that's expected with any vehicle that is lifted that much. It won't be significant though.
+SaintJames40 It will roll over in an emergency situation and get you hurt. The stability control programming is not designed to work with these extreme lifts and the narrow width of this class of truck makes that much more likely. Fine for true off-road, but face it, it will spend more time on the road. They're not going to tell you that, of course.
+Bruno TaTa The stablitiy control is shit. I pulled the fuse because it sucks when going off road completely kills power. I have an 09 with traction and stabiliycrap.
I ordered the rough country 6" lift with rockstar 3 18x9 rims 00mm offset. 285/65 r18 open country AT II tires. Is this the same set up which is in the video? Will my set up work without tire rub? On a 2017 z71 diesel
Bobby Hein My Colorado is at X-Treem Auto right now installing the 4" RC lift with Rockstar 3 - blk/machined 18x9 rims with 275x65r18 with MT ATZ-P3 Should get it back Friday good luck on yours as well.
@@RoughCountryTV Do you know how much trimming would be required with the 20x12 -44 offset to get it to not rub at all? Just plastic? or both plastic and metal?
35's will do more than rub. They simply will not fit within the wheel well of this truck without considerably modifications to the truck (i.e. cutting, more lift, etc..). Your best bet in finding wheels for this truck is to consult a wheel shop. Since this truck has an odd bolt pattern, selection is limited and an experience wheel shop will likely be your best resource.
My 2016 Colorado Z-71 short bed has the RC 6" lift with the optional RC Nitrogen N3 shocks fitted in thefront coil over struts. A stage III Vortex Supercharger installed by RiPP SCrs. that bangs out 409 rear wheelHP that would blow the doors and glass out of that underpowered POS your driving. Yeah Ha HaHa Chumley
I have a black Colorado and man, I gotta say, the lift on that black one in the video makes it look so good.
urweetoddid same here man
Just slap some KCs on that girl and your set♡
I just bought my 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71 and I'm definitely considering your lift kits to put on mine in the VERY near future!
These are sooo nice. Wish i had one. Pass along my 06

have an 09 but I'm waiting for the 2.8 duramax diesel. It will get 30mpgs mine only gets about 20.
Got them looking nice
DEADLY!!!
From grandpa truck to bad ass truck ..
Looks awesome
They don't look right with the long bed; just my preference. Short bed is more proportionate to the size of this truck.
+Krasnaludek And the wheelbase is so long you might as well get a full size
Agreed.
Nah, the extended cab looks perfect. 4 doors are for ricers and grandmothers.
Not when practicality comes into play
6 inch suspension lift and rear shocks are still 3 inches of the ground!😂🍻

Do you make a 4" lift for the Colorado? Seems more practical for ever day use

Any video on how to do it on Chevy Colorado 2016 4wd
What would be my mpg with this lift and 33s
Technically just 4.5 inch with an extra 2" level in the front.
What size are the wheels and tires on those two trucks?
Is there a installment video for this lift kit?
No video on this one but we do offer the step by step install instructions in the kit.
I see these all over Maui
hopefully not all over oahu cuz im about to get one haha

Can I leave my factory 17 inch black gmc rims on and just get a bigger tire to run with this setup?
No, but you can run a spacer, but a spacer is not recommended
With this kit do you need brake line extensions for new hight/travel? If not are the wheels the only thing need beyond the kit?
This kit comes with the brake line brackets that allow you to retain the stock brake lines. You just need wheels, tires and an alignment after install.
Hey does it make it feel like you are going to rollover when taking sharp corners? It does have a much higher center of gravity.
This kit will appear more top heavy but there are no concerns of rollover with the design of the kit.

308 hp/275tq on the v-6? I hardly would call it underpowered. My first truck was a '83 s-10..now that was underpowered..but not bad for it's time
Id hope to get the long bed just cuz i like how its only less than 1000 more from a short bed z71 to a long bed z71

20x12 wheels can fit on 2016 Colorado?
Those will work as long as you run a -44 MM offset.
@@RoughCountryTV Do you know how much trimming would be required with the 20x12 -44 offset to get it to not rub at all? Just plastic? or both plastic and metal?

That will all vary depending on tires and wheels that you run. It's hard to put an exact number on the MPG once lifted
