Bram Stoker's Dracula is a platformer based on the famous 1897 book of the same name ( en.wikipedia.o... ). Count Dracula has cast his hypnotic spell on the lovely Mina Murray. To save her from eternity as a vampiress, you take control of Jonathan Harker as you ram through hordes of enemies, bombard bosses with stones, and...dance with ghosts?
This run by Randil ( tasvideos.org/... ) is an improvement of 59 seconds over Shiru ( tasvideos.org/... )'s rejected submission ( tasvideos.org/... ) by taking more damage and using better strategies for the boss fights. See the author's notes ( tasvideos.org/... ) for more details.

True fact: This is the only Dracula video game adaptation which was written by Bram Stoker himself.
For everyone making note of the music, I'd very much recommend looking into its composer Jeroen Tel! His home turf was the Commodore 64 and he's got REALLY good stuff on there..
Music in this game reminds me of Alien 3 from nes.
look at tiny keanu go, he's so tiny
*sees Probe logo*
*first level starts, TAS glitches character right through the floor immediately*
yep, sounds about right for a Probe game tbh
Never saw this version. I had the Sega CD version. Despite having pretty cool graphics for its time; it was equally as ridiculous. Using taekwondo to combat such things as bats and flying books was a memefest in itself
13:38 draculEa the vampYre haz bin vamkished
Oh wow I've never seen a NES game with a sprite work like this, the character and monsters are 8bit but the platforms and background are so SNES-like, I wonder how they pulled this off 🤔
Agree, they did good with the background detail, Snes have 2 or 3 layout but game designers is too lazy so they skip or not put many effort on it.. Only Konami did it right specially with Castlevania series
I had this on Gameboy, and it's weird how they basically were able to copy/paste the entire game over. Swapped some bosses around though.
Dancing with the ghosts is a Transylvanian tradition.
2:10 music sounds like Manos Hands of Fate
damn, the music slaps
There were a ton of Bran Stoker's Dracula games in the early 1990s, which ranged in quality from mediocre to awful. Most of them were different from one another. The Sega CD version was probably the worst.
screw what anyone else says, i think this soundtrack is god tier. sounds like a mid 20th century organ freestyle
Technically, this is a Castlevania game, since the events of the Dracula novel are part of the Castlevania timeline...
Local man kills everything with a rock.
DRACULEA ✝️
Bram Stoker was from Ireland.
Avgn brought me here lmao
Wait this aint castlevania but according to konami, it is
What a weird fuckin' game.
The music is more like "Bram Stoker's Cancerla"
шустро.)
this game has better darker mood than childish anime of Castlevania
God that music is awful but the spritework is really cool
