This is just amazing. It sounds like one of those old game songs that sticks with you for years. Great job, gotta love what one of this tiny things allows you to do.
definitely the most impressive PO 28 song on net. I probably listened to all ,and except of very few, all sound like someone just mashing all available sounds on PO 28 together. Bass parts are always simple and lacking. Your song is one of the few that it actually sounds like a real song, something that one can listen to. I wish you would upload more songs. PO 28 doent allow chord like PO 20 so I am guessing you had to make few different bass patterns and that each chord has its own bass pattern?
Is the stuttering from fx? It happens while you turn the knob, or did you record fx into a pattern and know when the pattern is coming, so you pitch bend the fx segment? I got the robot 3 days now so still learning, very inspired!
Glychee S Yeah, it's from the stutter effect, programmed into the pattern at that point. I like the effect, but it went perhaps a bit overboard here :)
probably don't need this answer after a year, but a good and easy way to record is to just plug the PO into the mic line-in of your computer (if you have one) and using Audacity to record and export the audio
@@jimslicer807 streets of rage music is techno like lol also ym2612 ans sn76489 sounds way better then this because its higher quality and pulls off way more sounds
That's one of the most impressive demos of the Robot I've heard.
Simon H. I just got my robot and this seems like another world of skill to me
This song is amazing. I ordered a PO-28 because of this one.
likewise !!
Is it worth it? I’m thinking about it
Keegan Gallagher absolutely
The melody is from outer galaxy!!

@@GraemeMarkNI lol. I usually give up on the 6th or 7th take and use whatever I end up with.
I keep coming back to your song. You are a f***ing genius, man, do you know that?! Wish you'd do more songs!!!

this was phenomenal!
How did you manage to record it?

sounds almost as good as streets of rage
Streets of rage uses 16 ym2612 fm synth sounds nothing like 8 bit soounds more like a c64 and the sn76489
@@chinossynthesizer705 I was talking about the composition not the technology

Sounds like the sn76489 in the streets of rage 1 intro song because its 8 bits

What are you changing on the knob whilst playing?
casinomann That's changing the pulse width of the square wave, affecting the timbre of the lead sound a little bit.
Sounds kinda like the SID chip?
C64 sound more better
Oops? To what😅 can't say I noticed anything
I really want one of these, but the fact you are locked into a specific key is kindof. Its turning me off.
Boy, do other song
