Its definitely a lifelong passion of mine. I would HIGHLY reccomend it. Super low cost-high enjoyment hobby. You can start with a $20 walmart rod and reel setup with mini tacklebox and actually catch fish in the same day. I would check out a local lake and see if you catch one of the high tiers on this list, its a good time in the year to start!

That’s one of the many beauties of fishing. Even if you don’t catch anything you will still have an awesome time, especially if your fishing a remote lake or river that has no houses or roads near its shores. There is nothing more beautiful than an undisturbed woodland lake like those found in my home state of Minnesota.

Idk man, nothing like catching some brim/bluegill, chopping them up and baiting jugs for some big cats. Go hang out with your friends pondside, talking about cars and other stuff for a while. Then hopping in the lil canoe boat, one paddles, one grabs the jug and one buddy hangs out on shore to get the fish off jug. Lol when a big cat starts to pull the small boat its pretty fun. Crazy how bog of a cat you can get jugging. Plus good sunday fish fry afterwards.

I would consider myself a average Fisherman. Pb is a 4 pound Largemouth bass and a 2 pound brown trout. But now I have a massive urge to dedicate my life to fishing all of a sudden 😂
Nothing wrong with that! My PB largemouth is only 5lb 10oz. I’ve never even caught a single trout other than a Splake which is a Hybrid of a lake trout and a Brookie. It was like 12 inches tho 🤣
@PzKWMKVI my best size largemouth may be only 20-21 inches and 6 lbs and that was in Canada a few years ago. I’ve never caught a brown trout because where I live brown trout and other trout species aren’t as common as walleye, smallmouth, largemouth, etc. The biggest trout I ever caught was a rainbow around 10-15 lbs. I’d love to do more trout fishing because they’re so fun to catch and by far one of the best eating fish. Nice profile picture by the way the tiger was a pretty good tank but did have its flaws and not many were produced.
I can just imagine a President, taking some time off at the lake with their Secret Service guys hanging about, just relaxing and doing some fishing. Would probably be some welcome quiet from the hussle of being the President. I fully agree with Channel Catfish being S tier. I'm not too big into fishing but when I do fish, they are the guys I go for. Once ripped five of them, all over 8 inches, out of my local lake in less than two hours. Three of them came within 20 minutes. They're fantastic.
As a pretty experienced angler up here in Toronto I would agree with everything on this list. This is actually a great video to show new anglers and explain in good simple detail each fish you can catch in US/Canada lakes n rivers.

This was an amazing video to watch as someone who both fishes and is into Ichthyology as a hobby; I'd love to see a salt water tier list! Also, I have to say that this is a pretty well-informed video as well, the only real error I noticed was Joe saying the barbels on catfish sting, when really it's the spines on the pectoral and dorsal fins that do that (though I'm pretty sure plenty of fisherman believe the barbels sting anyways). Nice work man
We have a freshwater fish list, so naturally at some point, we need a saltwater fish list. Personally my S tier is Barracuda but their teeth make an understandable point that could dock points.
With all these fishes that come from saltwater to spawn in fresh water, you forgot one of the most memorable fish from Florida which is the Tarpon. You can catch them little fuckers after defeating the junkyard raid bosses in Florida, there in the same dirty waters as bass but as soon as they grow up they tend to leave for saltier water to avoid the amount of cocaine that spills into the water ways. Though you can also find giant ones in marshes around the Everglades. Also another species you guys forgot were Bull sharks :(
I mostly fish for rainbow trout and salmon. I still go fish in the river across from my parents house, I’ve been fishing there since I was a kid. This video is niche, and I love it. Thank you!
You can get a perfect starting setup at Walmart for like 20 bucks! then there's also lots of good stuff at Walmart for fishing as well for dirt cheap. 100% would recommend trying it out!

This was a great video. I think brown trout deserve S tier. Caught a master angler blue gill as a boy 1lb 10 oz 10 3/4 inches long. To thus day its the biggest bluegill I've ever seen in the wild. I'm with Sleepy Joe, bluegill while wormnstealers are totally based. 3 of my nieces and nephews caught bluegill as their first first qhen I took them fish good fish
As a beginner in fishing and first time watching a president video, this is by far the most hilarious and informative video on fishing I've seen. Also it would be amazing to see an aquarium tierlist with both fresh and saltwater!
I was expecting this to be super basic, but holy shit whoever made this is no amateur. The only gripes I have is that they have obviously never been to the shad fest, because shad are TOP TIER eats, and brookies are pretty common in northern lakes.

I fully agree with Channel Catfish being S tier. I'm not too big into fishing but when I do fish, they are the guys I go for. Once ripped five of them, all over 8 inches, out of my local lake in less than two hours. Three of them came within 20 minutes. They're fantastic.

Also, I have to say that this is a pretty well-informed video as well, the only real error I noticed was Joe saying the barbels on catfish sting, when really it's the spines on the pectoral and dorsal fins that do that (though I'm pretty sure plenty of fisherman believe the barbels sting anyways). We have a freshwater fish list, so naturally at some point, we need a saltwater fish list.
Personally my S tier is Barracuda but their teeth make an understandable point that could dock points.

With all these fishes that come from saltwater to spawn in fresh water, you forgot one of the most memorable fish from Florida which is the Tarpon. You can catch them little fuckers after defeating the junkyard raid bosses in Florida, there in the same dirty waters as bass but as soon as they grow up they tend to leave for saltier water to avoid the amount of cocaine that spills into the water ways. Though you can also find giant ones in marshes around the Everglades. Also another species you guys forgot were Bull sharks :(

You can get a perfect starting setup at Walmart for like 20 bucks! then there's also lots of good stuff at Walmart for fishing as well for dirt cheap. 100% would recommend trying it out!

This was a great video. I think brown trout deserve S tier. Larger than rainbows in most cases, highly predatory, elusive and difficult to catch at large sizes, and they are available to everyone from a kid fishing a pond with a worm to a fly fisherman in a stream to someone with a huge boat on the Great Lakes

Caught a master angler blue gill as a boy 1lb 10 oz 10 3/4 inches long. To thus day its the biggest bluegill I've ever seen in the wild. I'm with Sleepy Joe, bluegill while wormnstealers are totally based. 3 of my nieces and nephews caught bluegill as their first first qhen I took them fish good fish

As a beginner in fishing and first time watching a president video, this is by far the most hilarious and informative video on fishing I've seen. Also it would be amazing to see an aquarium tierlist with both fresh and saltwater!
I was expecting this to be super basic, but holy shit whoever made this is no amateur.
The only gripes I have is that they have obviously never been to the shad fest, because shad are TOP TIER eats, and brookies are pretty common in northern lakes.
