I lived there back in the 80's There are so many Old World buildings there, all the red brick. I wish I knew back then what I know now. Appreciate your videos, I can watch from the West Coast and remember the Good Old Days. Many Thanx from BC
Glad you like them. If I knew back then half of downtown Hamilton was gonna be demolished, I would've bought a decent camera way back. Even today the demolition continues. Sad.
I went downtown last week. It is definitely not the same anymore. I grew up here in the 70s. Downtown was where all the shopping was (No Meadowlands or Limeridge Mall then). It was safe. No shootings and stabbings like now. I know people who have to be there for work each day and hate it.
I loved in the north end back in the 80s in my teens an early 20s., will always love the downtown core. I has changed alot. My kids don't like it, but fir me it's good old days gone by.
So many drug addiction openly using downtown... just moved to stoney creek from downtown, what a difference. Downtown was very fun in the late 90s early 20s though.
