@@NokkunVolleyball I’m a setter but can’t get the ball in the right place on my hand when I set. It always happens with balls that are high up when bumped, what do I do?
@@neutralnoob4599 Balls that are bumped high are always harder to set because there is more downward momentum. 1st make sure to get the center of your body under the ball, don't be lazy and try to set it from your sides. Keep your hands wide and strong to prepare for a ball that will have a lot of downward force. Push the ball with not just your hands but your entire body, it's a full body motion. If you keep your body centered under the ball and have your hands up you should be able to get that ball directly between both hands for a good set. Personally I like to do a jump set when the ball is passed higher because I can control the time when the ball is set instead of waiting for it.

I’m new to volleyball and I’ve been working really hard on becoming the Libero- since last year we went to semifinals in middle school but it’s a different coach now as a freshmen- her diving practices are hard but fun
can you help me know what i need to practice or do more of to be libero ??x
@@sophieeagrace8678 not the OP but played a bit of libero. have a friend stand around 8ft from you and either tip it, hit it, or lob it far away, and you have to get it straight back to them. its really good practice for diving for tips, digging hits, and ball control

Volleyball is one of my favourite sports. Im usually one of the spikers or blockers. Those two im best at and i prefer to play those roles. Im 6’3, sporty and i think i can jump relatively high so i find blocking easy.

I’m a setter but I really love to hit as well, I’ve been kinda experiencing with hitting even though I’ve been a setter for 5 years, any tips on how to make my hits more powerful? They go over but they are easy balls for the other team I just can’t seem to get that power behind them
Muscles!! Arm workouts really help! The stronger the muscle, the more powerful ⭐️
Try different forms when hitting. Technique can really add to the power of one’s spikes

My friend wants to be middle blocker and I was wondering if you could give me any tips for her?
Sure! She definitely needs to work on her blocking and transitions to blocking. The middle blocker needs to be able to get to either end of the net to help support the other blockers, they are crucial for defense at the net. When blocking make sure to not have your hands flat and fingers together, but instead your fingers as wide as possible and you want your hands slightly turned inward as if you are roughly outlining the ball. If your hands are faced inward the ball can't bounce off your hand and go out. Also it's good practice to flick your wrist downwards when you block, that motion will make the ball go straight down and it'll be a MONSTER BLOCK. She will need to practice a lot of jumping cardio because she will need the stamina to jump a lot. She will most likely be jumping a couple times a point and it tires you out really quick if you don't have the stamina. Lastly when she is hitting, work on cutting and hitting the angles. Just hitting straight down the middle will get the ball easily picked up by the libero so make sure to aim for the corners. Also middle hitters have to face against the largest amount of blockers (3) because they have so many places they can hit. I recommend tooling the block, that means you target the tips of the blocker's fingers. Tooling blockers or tipping over blockers is the best thing to do when you are getting blocked consistently. Make sure to mix up your routine so they don't predict it. Hope this helps!

Do you have any tips for a setter?
Though setting is important don't forget to practice tipping, left handed hitting (if right handed) and blocking. The setter controls the pace and you can easily get points by learning to get the ball over on two. Dump the ball if the pass is a bit high and or even hit the ball. The other team usually doesn't expect the setter to attack. Also practice blocking as much as possible since you will be going against their left wing spiker. Practice these aspects and you'll become a well rounded setter.
