I feel like this adds a more "Homey" feel to the game. I like the idea of hanging out around a campfire with other players. That, and I liked the idea of just throwing logs onto your fires and not making lines of them
Reading about this even made me feel stupid, I just couldn’t wrap my head around how it worked. Your explanation was super helpful and appreciated. Thanks for making a clear cut guide to this.
Very good and well thought out update. OSRS needs more of these to give skilling more interactive and engaging options. I hope they do more uodates for other skills. Still waiting for a smithing update too. Its the most outdated skill in the game. Needing 99 smithing to make a lv40 armour piece you can just buy from an NPC after completing a low level FTP quest is nonsense.
@@critical3337 it's a bit of a criticism I have of the game honestly, I've only been playing it super casually for the last couple years (about 1550 or so total level) but there are just a lot of skills that don't really do anything substantial for the effort it takes to max them out. When I first saw smithing for example I was absolutely bewildered. Level 99 to make a level 40 defense item? In the time and money it takes to get 99 smithing you'd be far beyond the need of a rune platebody. Not to mention they drop from random enemies in the game, making it almost meaningless that it's a craftable item anyway. So you get 99 in this skill, and your reward is that you can craft an item that can be bought for 40k or something from an NPC after finishing an FTP quest, an item that drops from enemies anyway. It makes it feel pretty useless. Crafting is another one, there's not really anything you can do at 99 crafting that you otherwise wouldn't be able to do without 99 crafting. (This is from someone that has 99 crafting). The bank teleport is lovely but that doesn't have anything to do with the actual skill itself. Let's not talk about firemaking Levelling up crafting and gathering skills just isn't really that rewarding in this game from what I can tell. Most items you can gather already drop in bulk from enemies you can kill, and all the best armour and weapons are only available as drops from bosses/raids etc
Thank you. This was a super helpful guide. Reading what Forestry is, confused me. This made it easy to understand. Do you know if for items like Bee on a Stick, do we NEED them in our inventory for the event? I mean should I make it ahead of time?
Only 1 person nearby you needs to have the item for the event to happen but if you do it solo then yes, you should make the items as your first priority. Luckily in the first week a lot of people are gonna try it out so someone will most likely have the item which makes the event appear and you can participate.
Mini events pop up when conducting woodcutting as normal. How is that not a mini game within woodcutting? It’s a distraction and diversion at best which also classifies as a mini game.
im still kinda confused. do we need to make all the items? i saw a video that said do NOT make the charm but didnt explain why, is there a reason? and if items are needed, which ones should i make? (in order from most useful to least) thank you!
Wish they'd do something like this with fishing, just a revamp to fishing to make it more interactable, while hoping allowing the sweaty 3 tick methods to stay so people who want to do it can not get screwed over.
@@cannedsquasher5923 Well if Sailing passes, then we can build our own Trawler, which should give huge XP dumps after a long trip of navigating and micro managing other aspects of sailing, as opposed to the steady stream of AFK ticks. It would be nice if we got a collection log for all of the fish, and you got huge XP drops for catching a rare fish for the first time. But make time of day matter and different types of bait, so the community has to discover and share information on where to locate the fish.
