- When you go on a trip, many problems immediately arise; you need to buy this and that. It’s especially annoying when you have to spend money on a bag, so you need to take care of this in advance.
You don’t have to buy it; you can sew a travel bag with your own hands. For a woman, a bag is of great importance; it should be small and roomy so that all the necessary things can fit there.
The material must be chosen to be durable in order to withstand loads. And where would we be without jeans - the most suitable fabric for a bag.
Master Class:
To work, you need to prepare a rectangle measuring 41x67 cm; it can be sewn from several strips, depending on the width of the trouser leg. There are also two circles with a diameter of 21 cm, which will be the sides.
1) To make the bag rigid, smooth the interlining onto all parts, but this is not necessary.
2) I cut off the pockets of the jeans and sewed them to the sides.
3) I also cut out the lining fabric and stitched it to the main parts. This method makes sewing much easier.
4) Next, I treated the short sides (41 cm) with strips of fabric. I stitched them on the wrong side and turned them right side out.
5) I tore off the label on the jeans and stitched it to the bag.
6) I sewed on the zipper, took out the pawl and unfastened the clasp.
7) On the canvas, on the processed sides, I marked 9 cm from each edge and drew parallel lines. I marked 4 cm at the top, this is so that there are handles here.
8) For the handles I used rigid tape, 108 cm long, 2 pieces. I attached them from the middle of the rectangle in different directions. I stitched the tape, not reaching the edges 4 cm.
9) Put the dog back. I sewed loops along the edges of the zipper. You can insert rings into them for a removable long handle.
10) I folded the circles in half and made marks for the top and bottom, and did the same on the main part.
11) Attached the circles with hooks and stitched. The edges were trimmed with strips of fabric.
Ready.
Despite the small size of the bag, a lot of things fit inside.

Уж если вы подсмотрели в аэропорту, то размеры должны быть, как у ручной клади, которые подходят под калибратор, и вес минимальный! Я шила сумку наподобие из болоневых штанов сына, она получилась невесомая, самое тяжелое- это лямки, которые были из стропы.
Очень правильное утверждение. Для посадки в самолет важно вес и стандарт размера сумки.

Looks nice and is practical. I don't have a sewing machine and can't afford one, and I'm not good at handsewing. Several decades ago, I did hand sew a pillow for our dog as a school project. I stuffed it with old socks and old stockings that my mother gave me. The dog loved that pillow.😊 I've been brushing up on RUclips hand sewing clothing repairs, as I will be making some minor repairs soon. I am temporarily staying in a nursing home while recovering from several health issues, and a few of the clothes my brother brought me have very minor tears. They are actually in good condition otherwise, so I asked my brother to bring me my sewing box and a magnifying glass, so I can mend the clothes myself. The magnifying glass glass is to help my old eyes so that I don't stab myself with the needle. It gets boring here at times, so this will help keep me happily occupied.😊 I've always been good at finding ways to keep myself occupied. 😊 I will be able to entertain myself while sewing. My smartphone died the day I was taken to the hospital. I replaced it with a cheap Tracfone flip phone for calls and a tablet for the internet. Unfortunately, the router frequently drops my connection. There isn't room in my room to work on hobbies and projects, but there are tables and chairs in the halls for that, so I will play videos and audio programs out there while I sew.
Several years ago I decided to buy a proper sewing kit to make repairs, as needed. All of the kits that I saw online were missing things that I wanted, so I bought an empty craft box with compartments, then bought the things that I wanted in my sewing kit. That included a large set of spools of thread in many different colors, so I now have what I need for this project.😊
When I was 15 I bought a hook rug project. 40 years later, it is still not done! Every once in a great while I take it out and do a few rows. My vision is going and I want to finish the hook rug while I can still see it, so this will be my next nursing home project after I mend my clothes.😊 Even after 4 decades, I still like the pattern and color scheme that I picked for my hook rug.😊
