I love how Adam keeps playing guys who support or are in awe of strong female leads. His characters are never threatened by these women, or weirded out when suddenly shown a more vulnerable side of them.
I'm glad it's not just me! I swear he's the most gorgeous man I've ever seen, I normally don't idolize celebrities but something about him makes me just love him to death
I just watched this movie about a week ago and I found so many parallels with my life! The asking for help, the feeling alone and the comparison to my internal struggle with letting people into my life was really represented in this film. I really adored this movie because it was much different than any movie I've ever seen and I think because of the slow pacing but also the raw natural human way this movie was made I could ground myself within the nature of this film. Adam Driver is an incredible actor in this movie and I cherish his character development from the nervous hyperactive being at the beginning of the movie to the more grounded, humbled and happy man at the end of the movie. Mia Wasikowska was also an incredible actress in this movie! Her portrayal of this woman who is on a self-fulfilling Journey through miles and miles of desert and a goal to accomplish is quite inspirational and I found it moving and the fact that if you could look at it like a metaphor she's going through a desert of emotions through this entire movie!
Such a wonderful film. I watched it initially just for Adam Driver but I was actually captivated by the whole thing. It is on my top favourite films now. I absolutely love the part where he runs up to her and makes sure she is okay. So beautiful...
Of course the two of them must've made at least one movie together. Both being amazing actors and wonderful weirdos in their own right. This movie is on my definite to-watch list.

Adam Driver would appreciate the approval of critics that his acting was portraying his character, accurately. He is a very private person, who is still the same person who was raised in a small town in the Midwest, who worked a variety of jobs to support himself and served in the Marine Corps. Joanne Tucker, his wife, soul mate, and mother of his child, obviously understood who he really was when they met as classmates at the Julliard. I believe that Joanne Tucker is responsible for his success at the Julliard, and in his career. She has always supported him and believed in him.
I remember reading to the scene where she gets drunk and starts verbally abusing Driver’s character due to all her frustrations with him and I was like “we know where this is going” and they banged. I was like “of course”😂 Honestly the funniest part of the book considering how annoying she found him throughout the entire story.
