There's an anecdote about the young LDS fellow that confesses his MANY acts of fornication. After awhile, the bishop stops him, saying, "Son, you're not 'confessing', your BRAGGING."
It's not a mistake. Sex and relationships are commodities, particularly at the higher echelon of society. Chances are, Jackie knew about it and, at the very least, accepted it as part and parcel in their business and positions, if she wasn't part of it and endorsing it.

Perhaps most wouldn’t engage in this behavior in the first place, especially older females & it’s typically never females their age but it’s like anything else where the victims are essentially chosen as they feel it all out & know who to zero in to or not which is why the pool party was initiated. My family and I met JFK when I was 11. I was with my family and when JFK came over to shake our hands (we were behind a little barrier)....it was clear that he came over to get a better look at my mother, who resembled Vivian Leigh (Scarlet O'hara). we can simplify this ass umption by looking at the simple yin-yang symbol......on the dark side you have the child, on the light, the "adult child" to which you refer...it is totally possible, natural, in fact, for an "integrated adulthood" bringing both aspects to full fruition.....it is rare, but only rare due to the history of generational adult child parentage....that is changing....it is slow, but a dispersed awakening is underway.....no need to "prove" it....if you look for it you will see it.....and through that seeing, become a participant.....magic....
@@MCtravler You are right, however the theme of the story is consistent with other stories that have been verified. I guess we would have to read the book for a final decision about truth. But really, after over 50 years, does it matter? What does matter? 21 years ago the world was introduced to 9/11. So what is the truth? Well, when the scientific method is applied, and well established fire behavior is considered, the official conspiracy theory is not supported…. So in the final analysis of 9/11 it appears that the official conspiracy theory has been fabricated. If the official theory has been fabricated, what are the implications? What predictions may be made from such an event, 21 years ago? What may be expected by a government that saw fit to fabricate a theory, a narrative, that is not supported by scientific scrutiny? Do you see that same government today, making policies that undermine American prosperity? So what is the truth of 9/11? What are the underlying forces that drive the above government to engage in endless war ( 20+ years) or proxy war ( like In Ukraine) ? What is the motivation?
@Jack Atta’boy, Jack, you’d make a greater White House press secretary than the current edition, Good Ship Lollipop; Jack was a serial womanizer in the mold of dear old daddy Joe, and was proud of it… The sad part of this was the intern’s realization that she gave up her virginity to a distinguished pig but a pig nonetheless, and stood without distinction in a very long line of others leading to the backdoor of the Oval Office…
Kennedy was not that kind of man. He enjoyed sex but he wasn't like Teddy who was more a predator imo. Ofc it's hard to judge who he became by end of 1960s after having endured 2 family assassinations and 2 near death experiences.
I'm truly impressed that she owned up to her own role in the incident. She told it like it was. You don't find chicks that are willing to do that these days. She didn't play the victim, and I respect that. She sheds light on the nuances of the affair and how it started. She lets the listener (or reader) draw their own conclusions with the knowledge of what was really going on in her mind and what she did to perpetuate the relationship. Inappropriate yes. Immoral yes. Wrong in many ways, yes. Rape? No. Or whatever you see it as. But at least she didn't paint an untrue picture of the events and her personal participation in them. She has enough integrity to own up to it.
What LordJim, you don't like chick's, or simply.so weak to be bullied by crowds, and can't find any of your own, so, hey bandwagon virtue signals and maybe a greenhair will.do you for a solid.
I shook hands with President Kennedy when I was a kid. It was during his visit to Ireland. Word got out that he was at the American Ambassador's Residence in the Phoenix Park, in Dublin. I lived just a couple of miles away, and it was a sunny day, so myself and my cousin headed to the park. There was a crowd of maybe a hundred people already gathered outside the gates of the Ambassador's Residence. My cousin climbed up a lamp-post to get a better view. Within a few minutes the gates swung open and Kennedy's open top car appeared. The car inched slowly through the crowd, with Kennedy leaning out (from the back seat), waving, smiling, and occasionally shaking hands with people. I was pressed right up against the car. I remember being amazed at how tanned he was - it was a golden tan of a kind you didn't see in Ireland until tanning salons and cheap flights to exotic locations became available years later - and by how freckled he was. He also looked more youthful and athletic than I'd expected, like someone who had just been playing tennis. He was obviously in great spirits, laughing and cracking jokes with the other passengers in the car. He looked to his right and I caught his eye. He pointed towards me, as if to say "look at this kid!" Then he reached out and shook my hand. It was a brief encounter, but every detail is etched in my memory.
So did I , being 6 years old at the time . He made a surprise visit to the Loreto Convent Wexford where a cousin of his was a Loreto nun . My father was doctor to the convent and they informed him that the Prez was going to visit hence the whole family went to see him . I was fascinated by cars and especially his Lincoln so paid more attention to the car than Kennedy . It was the car he was assassinated in 5 months later .
much of his odd coloring was due to the medication he took for Addison's disease, they presented it as a tan tho. This is also why his face looked full as president when it had looked thin before, they say he hated his bloated face but most people thought of it as normal middle-age weight gain, no one knew he had a deadly disease, his father had even stored a surplus of JFK's medication in lock boxes all over the world just in case there was a supply shortage because JFK wouldve died without it. It's also believed at least part of his bizarrely strong sexual appetite was fueled by his medication even tho his father had been much the same.
Kennedy had a lot of extramarital trysts, but the media was discreet back then. He was by no means the only president to have mistresses. Today, the media often reports before they know what's going on, focusing on the sensational. Sometimes people's lives are unjustly ruined.
The story of sexual hijinks in the Kennedy Administration had already led to an article in the press the week before he died, when the East German spy he was doing was paid off and deported. The truth was to come out in the media the week of Nov.26th, 1963. Facts. His murder saved him from answering to a huge sex scandal.
Any man who cheats on his wife has a rotten heart and cannot be trusted. His pattern of abuse of power are life lessons he displayed to his family. Every action has consequences. The consequences of how this man lived his life and abused his position are carried forth by the heartache of the Kennedy legacy. Very sad indeed.
It was a different time & somewhat acceptable. Even by wives. Some wives even preferred their husbands had mistresses. I'm not condoning it just saying, it was a different time.
Which head of state, be it in USA or elsewhere does not have sex with young girls and use the powers he has to live to the fullest? None. This is how the world has always worked and it irks me greatly that even today there are people who do not understand that simple fact. Like, how naive and childish one has to be, to not fathom how real power works.
8:17 “We all have flaws… everybody makes mistakes.” The term “mistake” often gets used as a euphemism for something more serious. Looking closely at the word… It has two components, “mis” and “take”. The second component is sometimes used by itself to mean understanding or perception. Someone might ask what your take is on a certain situation. A mistake is an erroneous take. To say that Kennedy and Mimi made a mistake, there would have to be an error in their take on what they were doing. He knew there was an imbalance of power. Correct take. They both knew that he was married and was being unfaithful to his wife. Correct take. Was there a mistake?
Yes, this was a very modern take on this affair. Sadly weak. It’s okay to judge some actions. We need society to reinforce that some behaviors are not good.
That was so far from rape, what can be said? She was invited, she thought about it, she said yes. Rape is if she was an innocent, fearful, 16 year old who knew she was terrified, kept saying “No”…
He humiliated himself not her . I bet that the people of his entourage who knew about these affairs didn't agreed but kept minding their business because it was more convenient to them .
"Poor" Jackie was used to infidel men courtesy of her dad. She knew what she signed up for. Her mother trained her & her sister Lee on how to marry well. She's no different than women past, present & future who will shut up & put with anything & everything to enjoy being Mrs. Trophy Wife & basking in all of the perks & prestige money can buy. They have chauffeurs, gophers, nannies, PA's, secretaries, etc. at their beck & call. They get the best table in the best restaurants & the best theatre tickets, no waiting in line. They get a credit card to buy the latest fashions hot off the Paris runway or from the best couture houses & all of the accessories & tons of pricey jewelry. They get the best of everything. All they have to do is close their eyes, ears & mouth & swallow their pride. 🤑🤪🤑
Parents need to educate their daughters on what is acceptable behavior in an adult, how to handle inappropriate behavior, especially someone in a position of authority.
Good luck with that. Parents in cases of rape and pedophilia are the ones to hide and protect abusers instead. In the 1960s you were guilty of having g let a man rape . Jeez, what planet are you on!??
Yes because these young girls never see it coming and before they know it, they're in over their heads and even believe they wanted it (Monica Lewinsky comes to mind). What girl on earth could resist this kind of proximity to the leader of the free world?
I’m a JFK fan but I’m very disappointed in him concerning his sex life and all the cheating he did. The guy couldn’t keep his zipper zipped. He would have call girls showing up in one door and and another set of call girls showing up in another. He was also having an affair with a known mobsters girlfriend, this is serious because this means the president could get blackmailed. All of this has completely tarnished his presidency. The sad thing was JFK was a pretty good president and got the country through some very serious problems but his sex life and cheating really hurts his reputation and legacy.
Very similar to Clinton which is not surprising since Clinton emulated JFK and thought that as president, this was something he was entitled to and could get away with. Clinton was wrong because times had changed....but unfortunately JFK got away with it. Clinton was also a good president, but also tarnished, and this time, heavily tarnished during his own lifetime.
If you actually believe all that. I believe JFK was assassinated twice. Once in Dallas by a sniper and years later again by conservatives who wanted (still want) nothing more than to ruin his legacy and image. For a guy who was in almost constant severe back pain due to war injury and a series of rather unsuccessful surgeries - a guy who had to sit in special chairs and wear a large back brace all day, I find it rather remarkable that he was banging his way through every pretty face that came by. Easy to accuse a dead man of a lot of things.
Well, there are reasons why the records have been sealed for over 50 years. Lots going on. His drug addition issues are a huge concern. The guy was high A LOT.

While working as an editor in 1961 at her high school newspaper, the Salmagundy, she wrote to the White House and requested an interview with Jacqueline Kennedy, who herself had been an editor of Salmagundy at Miss Porter's School. Mrs. Kennedy was unable to fit a meeting into her schedule, but her social secretary, Letitia Baldrige, also a Miss Porter's alumna, invited Beardsley to come to the White House and interview her about Mrs. Kennedy. She briefly met President Kennedy during this visit. The rest we know.
He wasn't ashamed. Kennedy boys were taught by their father that woman only existed for their pleasure, and their mother didn't interfere with this education. I thought this 'secret' was first made public in Robert Dallek's book 'An Unfinished Life', but he didn't name her. Then she acknowledged it was her. That's what prompted the press to pursue the story.
@plaintalk3804 it was not bamboozle. There are secret service reports and the staff member wrote about it and that all came out and was part of the book of historian Robert Dallack. White House records verified her employment their until his death in Dallas. The press knew about her.

Thanks for the speach about how we’re all flawed and, oh well, …..but no thanks. A person’s morals, especiially the POTUS, speak to what kind of person they are. No excuses for the predatory, immoral behavior. This is no different than Jeffrey Epstein’s actions, preying on young innocent girls.
If you had listened to the whole video, including this person's quotes, you should have realized that this was quite different than Jeffrey Epstein’s actions. I am not excusing the philandering here, but you need to stop being mindless and simplistic - you have no idea what you are talking about when you are comparing JFK to Jeffrey Epstein.
In the same way Mimi declined dinner with the president, she could have turned down the two previous offers or invitations. Mimi did not make mistakes.
Well done covering this topic without passing judgement on either party. It is unhelpful and distorts our view of history when we use modern social/ethical/moral norms to pass judgement on the people of the past. (That is one of the most enduring lessons from my favorite college history professor.) One could certainly argue that adultery was just as immoral in 1962 as it is now, but societal views on power dynamics and workplace affairs have shifted dramatically.
Kennedy was known to have had a series of mistresses, the most famous of which was Marilyn Monroe. He also shared a mistress with the boss of the Chicago mafia. So he really wasn't that bothered who he screwed, still less about his marriage vows. At that time, the media drew a veil of discretion over his infidelities in a way that it wouldn't today.
Jackie and JFK became closer after the death of their baby, Patrick, not long before the assassination. The grief made him refocus on his wife. They had a renewed emotional closeness. He realized what Jackie had gone through. I think it was the book “Mrs. Kennedy” where this was detailed , I highly recommend it.
I've just finished reading Mimi Alford's book and I can't agree. JFK was having an affair with Mimi right up to his death as well as countless other women. He deliberately scheduled their liaisons when Jackie was away with the help of his aides. JFK pimped Mimi out to his aide Dave Powers and drugged her. JFK had affairs with women like Karin Gunilla von Post when he was engaged to Jackie and told her that had he met her a week earlier he'd not have got engaged to Jackie. He also advised Karin that he'd divorce Jackie to marry her. JFK was an incredibly narcissistic man who was forever in love with himself and didn't care who he hurt to indulge his cravings. It's difficult to see Jackie as anything other than a perfect First Lady to sate his political ambitions and image. You can't love someone and treat them in the way that JFK treated Jackie. Appalling.

All else aside,,,, I'm so grateful for the words of Jesus ❤
Not surprised at all. This attitude carried over into the 70s when I was in my 20s and could have slept with multiple married men at the office (never did). It was a dramatically different time -- and not in a good way.
I was 18, freshly out of high school in 1968. I was propositioned by many married men in my office, including my boss. Their sob story was always they were married in name only. Some even told me they and their wives slept in separate beds. I told them the status of their marriages was none of my concern. I wouldn't go out with them based on my principle that when I got married I would not want anyone else to go out with my husband. The Lord blessed me with a loving and faithful husband for 51 years 4 months and 21 days. He went to his eternal home 20 1/2 months ago. I miss him every moment of every day and can't wait to be reunited with him.

Bill O'reilly's book "Killing Kennedy" gives some great insight into the Kennedy presidency including behind the scenes information. It's available as a Kindle offering.
CLICKBAIT! "The author never engages in specific, intimate details of the sexual aspect of their affair, other than to say it was 'highly charged' and exciting. What she does relate has more to do with the logistics of their affair -- how David Powers arranged for her to be picked up at college by car for trips to the White House, how she travelled on Air Force One (to the increasing resentment of the regular staff), and how the president even managed to call her at her dorm on a public phone without being detected." From Amazon review of Mimi Alford's Once Upon A Secret.

It’s everywhere. Schools, sports, churches, workplace. And women fall in line easily-greed, money, connections, status, whatever the goal is more important to them than self respect, values.
Consensual or not, a grown man who is married with a family having sex with teenage girls is reeaaally baaad. Many a person has lost their life for similar actions. Your status does not make you exempt from basic human decency.
Everyone knew Kennedy slept around, even Jackie. Jackie knew what type of man John was when she married him, her father was the same way. I do look down on woman when they knowingly have an affair with a married family man because you are potentially devastating a few lives. Ok, just in the 20th-21st century. Not T. Roosevelt, Taft, Wilson, Coolidge, Hoover, Truman, Eisenhower (as President), Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush-1, Bush-2, Obama, Trump or Biden (as far as we know).
My heart goes out to Mrs. Kennedy too-she would be horrified at this disgusting post. Mrs. Kennedy and the President had a complete and full understanding of his activities-it was their marriage and no one else's business. Glad the author had the honesty to acknowledge that it was consensual. The propriety, ethics, etc. have nothing to do with making money from these incidents.

You can’t pass judgement on Kennedy? Would you feel the same if that was your daughter? What if your daughter was married to such a scumbag? Nice moral compass you’ve got there, Nicholas.
John Kennedy was simply repeating the behavior of his father, Josep P Kennedy, another man of wealth and power who had numerous mistresses. Mimi Alford was OBVIOUSLY looking for excitement and adventure when she took a job at the White House as an attractive young woman. And she found what she was looking for. Parents might have advised her not to take the job --- but even if they had done so, "strong and independent" young women have been ignoring the advice of parents for a LONG time. Face facts: it's not at all unusual for young and attractive women to trade what they have for association with men who are rich, attractive and powerful. Mimi was trading what she had for what she wanted when she took that job at the White House, and then followed the trail of breadcrumbs she was offered to Jackie's bed.
@@baub58 Heh, heh! And you recall CORRECTLY! I agree that the personal morality and behavior of Kennedy is, at least in the case under discussion, of no relevance to his official actions and activities as President. Just like Trump's personal behavior when he WASN'T President was of no relevance.

JHK had severe health problems, There are times in which he had to be carried in a hoist. I have seen pictures from years ago of this. He also used to go 'swimming' with white house secretaries, several at a time. He once said, "If I don't have sex with a strange woman at least once a day, I get sick." Marilyn Monroe had affairs with both him and his brother, and was putting pressure on one of them to marry her; hence her "suicide". And JFK's PT Boat (#109) was cut in half by a Japanese Destroyer because all of his crew and he were sleeping and he did not appoint a watch. He did some great and even heroic things, but JFK was no angel.
That's the same way I feel about Tiger Woods, which I found fascinating. He made Millions for the PGA, the sponsors, and for himself. He was able to keep his wife happy, feed his kids, and kept a lavish lifestyle. He was at his peak with Golf touring being adored and changing the World of Golf. The man was having affairs in every city and still had so much energy, now that's an Olympic feat. Until he got found out.
His wife whacked him in the face with a golf club and broke his front teeth. Then took out the rear window of his car as he tried to escape. She was pissed. Some men are so selfish.

Right, and that is why it’s contrived in seeking out younger females as they are the ones that can be easily influenced according to “their specifications” where these females are putty in their hands so I think it’s more than human beings just making mistakes as it becomes a way of life for many people whether they are male or female. Perhaps most wouldn’t engage in this behavior in the first place, especially older females & it’s typically never females their age but it’s like anything else where the victims are essentially chosen as they feel it all out & know who to zero in to or not which is why the pool party was initiated. You are right, however the theme of the story is consistent with other stories that have been verified.

That’s cool. I am a big fan of President Kennedy

Any man who cheats on his wife has a rotten heart and cannot be trusted. His pattern of abuse of power are life lessons he displayed to his family. Every action has consequences.
A mistake is accidentally backing into somebody's mailbox. Everything this man did was deliberate, nothing was a mistake.

He seems pretty happy about it all. I wouldn't say he's not passing judgement. He's clearly defending JFK.
Thou shalt not commit adultery is hardly a “modern” norm. Good grief.

No surprise the mafia killed jfk....

Jackie and JFK became closer after the death of their baby, Patrick, not long before the assassination. The grief made him refocus on his wife. They had a renewed emotional closeness. @angelwings7930 The man was a pig, whether you have a lame rationalization for his behavior or not.
Appalling.

Good for you 🙏

Bill O'reilly's book "Killing Kennedy" gives some great insight into the Kennedy presidency including behind the scenes information. It's available as a Kindle offering.
CLICKBAIT! "The author never engages in specific, intimate details of the sexual aspect of their affair, other than to say it was 'highly charged' and exciting. What she does relate has more to do with the logistics of their affair -- how David Powers arranged for her to be picked up at college by car for trips to the White House, how she travelled on Air Force One (to the increasing resentment of the regular staff), and how the president even managed to call her at her dorm on a public phone without being detected."

It’s everywhere. Schools, sports, churches, workplace.

Certainly you are not suggesting that the contents of her purse got her raped? Please explain why you would mention this otherwise. Did Kennedy have X-ray vision? You said it was in her purse. Do YOU believe in X-ray vision?
Or else he just lent her one of Jackie's.
First her swimsuit, then her bed.

You can’t pass judgement on Kennedy? Would you feel the same if that was your daughter? What if your daughter was married to such a scumbag? Nice moral compass you’ve got there, Nicholas.
Well Said!
