Stunning Alpine. I remember the original ones so well with their Rally successes and tubular chassis/ drivetrain configuration. I always said. The Alpine was Renault's 911, as was the GTV from Alfa. These cars should never ever have been terminated but improved. Love from Africa.
This car is really a budget GT3RS, I am proud it is from my country. The added aero looks nice and is for sure working since the car looks a bit slower than usual at high speed

Well, most European countries are like this, it's the same here in France, even little roads have not pot holes. I live i a little village and the road is perfect, so a lot of Porsche, Ferrari, Alpine and else owner take this road just to have fun, because they know they can drive fast on it there they wont hurt their cars the road is countryside AND perfectly safe

This is such a fantastic looking car. Light, nimble and a very nice price in the segment. Even completely stock it still looks very nice compared to this beefy version.
Coolest little MR sports car we can't get in America! At least not yet... Definitely needs a bigger turbo for the Autobahn. The fact that Gordon Murray daily drives an A110 says a lot about this car.
That's a lot, but I guess the OPF is known for hampering performance. The Z4 has 50 less HP in Europe than in the US because of it, and kills the sound on top of it.
Those Alpine's are amazing indeed the handling is really good like it's on rails and very responsive. The ugly radio control stalk is indeed in every Renault is the 80's, the one in my 1993 Renault 19 16v is exactly the same 😅 Same goes for the electric mirrors adjustment knob😋
I drove the standard version at Circuit Zandvoort. I must say this car is easy to drive and very light. I reached almost the same speed as the Porsche 911 with 325hp. I have the onboard on my channel.
I tried the Alpine S and compared it to a 718, the Alpine will loose traction first. The Cayman has a damn impressive grip! Both are great cars but I prefer the Porsche 718.
What a superb version of a sports Coupé that was already beautiful and efficient from the factory! However, in France it is prohibited to drive on public roads with a (complete or semi) roll cage added to your car.
I think i would prefer this over a Porsche even if they were priced the same. This car has a very nice character, is lightweight and looks awesome! I think it will destroy many "supercars" on the race track...
@@skidhvh Actually they don't. The GT4 has the "normal" 6 cylinder engine, that revs to 8000rpm, while the RS has the 6 cylinder engine from the GT3 that revs to 9000rpm. And horsepowerwise there is a significant difference as well.
Its already very very quick around tight roads. The Getrag could be a bit quicker (its not as precise as a PDK). What's rather missing is a LSD, sometimes.
You hear this guys accent and already wonder what is going on. Is it a "t" or a "d" or what is going on. Then you reach minute 6:00 when they go through the tunnel and the co-pilot speaks... This is when your mind blows. 😂
I love these, running a full cage on a road car tho is rather pointless not to mention dangerous, really need to have a helmet on or you'll crack your skull open like an egg on the cage in a crash.
I would not say that, the a110 legende is higher than the a110s, comfort. Its a perfect sport daily, but i never drive a standard cayman so i can't compare
I think this is my favourite car you've ever reviewed. It's so unique and lightweight is something you don't see with new cars anymore.
It was interesting how much he was impressed with this car, and he drove lot of them :)

I am impressed by the road surface I see on all the roads there. No pot holes, no patches, no expansion joints , just smooth roads to ride on.

Is that only bc of the OPF or Transmission related (Getrag 300NMmax)? I've seen A110s with OPF doing almost 300hp on a dyno.

It’s purely a Renault engine, you can find it in the megane 4 RS aswell.
