David is a visionary. I appreciate his ability to present and explain complexity in its many forms. His subtle 'word art' has no peer. I will not be surprised at all to see THE theory of complexity emerge from the Santa Fe Institute.

Great way to conceptualize the Complex Systems perspective vis a vis the ones relevant to other disciplines. One other interesting and related concept is that of causal emergence: the idea that the causal relationships between the components of a system change as the system evolves, leading to the emergence of new causal relationships that cannot be easily predicted or explained by studying the individual components alone. It posits that the emergent properties and behaviors of a complex system are not simply the sum of the properties and behaviors of its individual components, but are the result of the complex causal relationships between those components.

Fascinating.. David is really a visionary. He guides and combines this field's ideas and "axiomatizes them" - he makes sense from the mess of great ideas. I heard multiple complexity scientists talk about what is complexity science and usually they seem to start explaining its usage, combining with some "buzzwords" such as emergence - but David put it the best. When this field will have increasing importance and reputation (outside physics) and other fields/industry will draw many ideas from it, his interpretation of complexity will prevail.

I don't know how the youtube algorith took me here, but I loved it. Simplicity and complexity

If you don’t mind I have a couple questions I’m trying to understand at functionally accurate level : If you’re talking about understanding beyond words.🧐
So say Words are descriptors in our life to communicate.
    We are the platform maybe?
Within science perhaps it’s a lattice of representational maps matching pure evolutions of nature and minds physical reality in moments through communication.
🤔in humans, it’s about depth of encapsulated compressed scalular data of both the understood and the ignorant?
We all have different locus’s in relativity maybe?🤔 So how does group synchronization in minds in teams for maximum mutual world view work? Idk. Fun think. Fascinating . Thanks for lecture🥰
