Conditioning for years this ain't no local Karate schools around America even tho I hold a Black belt Shotokan Karate sparing with kyokushin guys is a different level of toughness plus it takes longer to get you Black belt in kyokushinkai
People don't understand how incredibly painful a single kick with 100% intensity is. You have to truly experience it to understand this type of pain. It feels like someone broke your bone. It's insane that these two kept a straight face and kept going this long.
I always found that if it his me more in the mid thigh I was ok, I could grit my teeth and the pain would eventually subside… but if I got caught just above the knee like a couple of inches above it was game over for me!

Respect to the Karate practitioner for keeping it honest because the kickboxer wasn't. The kickboxer let a few of those kicks go off full blast to the side of the knee which could cause SIGNIFICANTLY more damage than to the side of the thigh where the karate guy kept his strikes directed.
I'm pretty sure the kickboxer wasn't intentionally doing that. You cause maximum damage hitting the thinnest portion of muscle above the knee. But when getting kicked like that repeatedly. I promise your form will get compromised so you're less accurate

@luisquinones7822 Different technique. karateka lifted knee first and snaps leg, muay thai guy lifts thigh and slams his weight into the leg. Either he gave up as a sign of respect cause the musy thai kicks were a lot more powerful, or the karateka did kyokyshin and just has a better pain tolerance

Yeah, kickboxer was kinda of cheating as he kept moving when being kicked, in that he moved into the kick to reduce the opponent power and have the kick land higher on his thigh.

В карате набивки этих мышц каждую тренировку. В кике такого нет. Техника удара немного другая. В карате удар идет чуть сверху - вниз, фактически ребром голени. Из-за этого легче пробивается
