- The GBC Ultima 65 is capable of using heat-activated and pressure-sensitive (cold) film. When you go to load your machine with pressure-sensitive film, it acts a little bit different from your traditional roll. Be sure to follow the tips in this video to ensure your machine works for years to come. It is always recommended to use films that are 3mil and 27" wide with the Ultima 65.

EASY TO USE EVEN FOR BEGINNERS
use this video everytime I replace a roll!! Thank you
Thank you for this video. Going through step by step is very helpful. The only step that could have been explain, just a little better, was the bottom bar that had to be lowered for the bottom film to be wrapped around. I found how to lower it by accident. Otherwise everything else worked like it shoud. Thank you again for this instructional video.

zzzh,
At point 556 in the video both heat rollers should be overlapped. The video is not clear that the shiny side should face out and the operator, or the dull side. I believe it really matters and would save hours of frustration. I urge this company to redo this video, then have someone who knows nothing try and follow the video. Do that 10 times, with no questions asked it is will improve the usefulness of the video. As well, the manual should have the same stipulation.
Video helped me! Thank you!!
video helped me - Thank you
Did not show how to get what u rolled across so have to replace a roll? I need to know how to get the item I rolled across off roll
34 second into it says the shiny side- but which way do you load it to achieve it.
Shaft was said a lot
What happens if the heat rollers get glue on them? We had someone misload one of the rollers.
You are going to need to clean it off. The best way is to heat the laminator up and then scrub it with a scotch brite pad (the green and yellow ones). All the adhesive needs to come off and it takes some serious elbow grease. Just be sure to NOT use anything sharp. It can ruin the rollers.
How do I take them off to clean them? Or do I do it on the machine?
You will find that they are the easiest to clean if you have the machine on and the rollers turning when you are scrubbing. The heat will soften up the adhesive. Just be careful and use gloves so you don't burn your hands.
It worked, but you're right -- lots of elbow grease required! Thank you.
Glad you were able to get it cleaned up.
And for crying out loud...tuck your tie or lanyard in when pretending to be a lamination tech!
Have 10 other people who have never used anything like it follow the directions and see what it doesn't explain or allow. Both really need work.
Poorly done video. Directions like facing you or away from your mean nothing. Which side is the shiny side? Too many questions unanswered. But I must say it is ten times better than the manual that came with the machine or is downloadable from the site. I don't know if other companies do it better, but experience people stil spend 2.5 hours replacing something that should be a 15 minute job. poor company, poor video.
