Hello, I don't know much about pianos I just like to listen. I listened many versions of this piece and none of them sound like yours. Is it because of the piano type? Can you perform like this with grand piano? Sorry for my bad grammar.
Piano type and recording does have influence on the sound of course. Even live on the same piano as in the video it would sound different (better in my opinion). Also the arrangement, playing style, used dynamics etc. influences the way it sounds. Many piano playing youtubers use an cheaper model with very easy and light key-sensitivity (sometimes even an keyboard) , record with midi and after edit with software/sound packages. I record directly without editing because my piano has that option and I don't have good editing skills (yet xD). Not saying one is better than the other, but playing on grand piano's requires in general more piano skills then cheaper/lighter models. So yes, you can perform like this on a grand but it will sound slightly different. My piano is close to an accoustic piano in terms of playing (but not a grand)
This is an amazing arragement. I have never played a piano, but I love this one. Which type of piano do you use? I would love to start learning. Many thanks.
@@marcogiansoldati8165 np. If you want to start learning I'd probably start with a cheaper piano model. Do make sure it has 88 keys, otherwise it's an keyboard and that grows old quite soon if you want to play real piano pieces!
@@marcogiansoldati8165 I myself started out with a Yamaha DGX630 model (they're probably by DGX650 or 660 now) which was good for the first few years and reasonably priced at +-700€ incl. bench etc. When I got more advanced I thought the sound was too generic so I went for this Roland model after a few years of saving. Roland programmes every key individually where Yamaha copies each octave to the next (so I was told) which causes a slight sound difference. The best advice though is to go to a piano store, press some keys (high, low and middle) on different piano's and find something that suits you and sounds good to you.
what piano is that? sounds beautiful!! I m getting a keyboard of 61 keys. is there a way to ensure it sounds beautiful? I have never played piano before..
Thanks! It's an Roland LX-17, a relatively expensive model which is great when you want to play piano (more) professionally but can't afford a real accoustic piano. A normal (digital) piano has 88 keys and there is no exact way to ensure it's beautiful. Although if you're not satisfied with the sound the keyboard/piano gives you can always use DAW (audio editing) systems. 61 keys is good for learning to play and see if you like it. For the rest there is a lot to make it sound better, like using dynamics, correct rythm, chord use etc. but I'm sure you'll learn that in time. Enjoy learning the piano!
