Those are nice fans! I agree with you about the government issue fans that Emerson made. I used to have a 16 inch version and it was one of my favorites. Very well built and very quiet.
Nice work! I recently acquired 1934 12" silver swan 5460. Unfortunately it took a good hit to one side during shipping, which bent it slightly on the back rail, so much so that the oscillator has moved .25" out of place. Im trying to get some advice on how to remove the cage from the screw under the oscillator cover.. maybe the cage needs to be tilted back to bring the oscillator components together.? I would be so grateful for any insight you may have. Thanks!
Hey Derek this is Robert contacting you what size capacitor did you use for this fan I believe I may have the same one as I just received one any help would be greatly appreciated I'm so happy that you were able to get one at a reasonable price because these babies are starting to Skyrocket in price on some old specs from 1934 they say 1.5 UF 450 on the original specifications it says 1.5 UF 180. I don't want this fan to blow up it's so beautiful thanks so much for getting back to me best regards to you Robert
