I think that ego death is the term used for when you realize you are completely outmatched when you thought you had control. Example for Frieza-on Namek when Vegeta thought he could take Frieza only to realize Frieza is so much stronger than him and he loses all hope. Thats how I translated it.

Freeza is there because of Golden Freeza as well as every moment following. Freeza has surprisingly changed a lot, hes aware hes not just simply the strongest by virtue of being himself anymore. He knows he has to train to keep up.
What i sorta like about Freeza's change as well is the simple fact Goku for better or worse has ultimately changed how Freeza behaves in a fundamental way. Freeza to an axtent now does relish in battle and enjoys it. He's genuinely hate Goku but is ultimately thankful for essentially showing him the path to become even stronger and MORE of a threat, because he realized he's no longer the biggest fish in the sea.
Maybe because it’s a piece of absolute filth and celebrates murder and satanism. I’m sure he has more class than to listen to something so disgustingly stupid and ignorant. There’s never a need for something so filthy to be listened to or even written, unless you are working and worshipping Lucifer. If he does, he’ll lose viewers and subscribers.
