- Aquamarine is one of my favorite antagonists we've seen so far in the series! But just how strong is Aquamarine in the grand scheme of the gem order? Be sure to leave a LIKE if you enjoyed the video :)

She is useless without her wand, if she didn't have her wand she would only be able to fly and that's only good in a fight where u want to run away
I totally agree. She's like a glass cannon. If she doesn't have her wand she's weak and can be poofed easily. Since Lapis can create copies of her opponent as well, than Aquamarine is automatically out. It's never been proven that Aquamarine can freeze water with her wand either. Even if she can, the water copy has the same abilities and can not be destroyed. Aquamarine can't really find a way to poof any gem anyways. The only way would be smashing them really hard into a wall or something. She's small and has low defense options as well.
what if aquamarine just freezes lapis before she makes the clones
or her outfit & body to seduce her enemies...who knows...maybe they are attracted to adorable little kids with the minds of adults...
Well..we have never seen her weapon so we really can't call her weak
I assume aquamarine's rank and purpose was never combat and fighting so her being "weak" and not having a big combat weapon makes sense
I imagine that Aquamarine's wand is a lot like Peridot's limb enhancers. She's pretty powerful when she has it, but if something happened to it, she'd be pretty weak. I headcanon that Homeworld can't make Lapis Lazulis anymore because they take too many resources, so they created Aquamarines to 'replace' them, and since Aquas are less powerful, they give them the wands.
But aquamarine is an aristocratic gem, ranking higher than lapis’s which means that aquamarine has an ability that no other gem has, just like sapphires can see the future and no other gem can
Not very strong without her wand I imagine. Topaz locked her down pretty quick.

Malachite lost to alexandrite for the plot of the series
Lapis was weakened and didn't have control
Jasper was being a hardhead as usual
They nerfed lapis' water abilities in that fight
Watermelon stevens somehow distracted malachite
Malachite stood sill for 10 years and allowed herself to be pulled when she could have used the water to snatch alexandrite from below
Lapis is still the most powerful imo
She can just ground aquamarine by taking her water wings away
But Aquamarine could just stop Lapis completely before Lapis can even attack.

So? Many characters lose because of plot. Even then it showcases Malachite and Alexandrites powers
Characters in a weakened state have been able to perform incredible feats. Just because they are weakened doesn't mean they can't have strong feats. Also, Lapis was intentionally lifting the oceans to get to Homeworld.
Still. Jasper legit showcased her strength even if she's hard headed. Many characters do the same thing.
Lapis was still able to keep up with the Crystal Gems in a weakened state.
The Watermelon Stevens did distract her, but she was able to kill some of them with ease.
Malachite was legit held down with the weight of he ocean. And Lapis is literally holding her down. And furthermore, she escaped because Jasper took control over Malachite.
So that's it. Have you been paying attention to the series dude?
But Aquamarine could logically one-shot Lapis and Jasper she gets a hold of them.
kirbyboycoolness But she can't one shot them 🙄 lapis doesn't need to move to control water so even if lapis gets caught she can still throw Aquamarine off balance by tossing her by her WATER WINGS and yes THEY WERE NERFED for the plot progression like how steven bubbled the entire cluster

Aquamarines laser didn't appear to be instant and since it's a thin line, I could see lapis dodging it quite easily whereas you can't really dodge water if she surrounds you with it, she used it on humans which are weak, pearl who was in the air and can't dodge, and alexandrite who would be too big to dodge it, so maybe it isn't as op as you would assume, and then if you take her wand she's one of the weakest probably
Daria She still effectively one shot Alexandrite. Lapis' speed feats might give her the win over Aquamarine.

Just because it’s tech from home world doesn’t mean it’s useless, Gem destabilizer? And even if Aquas wand isn’t a gem weapon, if it can stop a six armed, 4 fusion, thats pretty strong of Aqua.
BINGO. Cant believe no one mentioned this. Its been explained a bunch in the show that the crystal gems are thousands of years behind in gem tech
I believe if malachite was stable, they would have defeated alexandrite
I pretty sure aquamarine's are ment to be the opposites to ruby's . Ruby's are expendable scouts while aauamarine seem to be high ranking ,calculated invaders ,using their small size ,evasive nature , And unassuming appearance to retrieve,take down ,hunt and possibly deconstruct civilizations before proper full scale invasion .
Her best strength is her smarts
1: The reason why alexandrite defeated malachite was because the watermelon stevens helped distract her while alexandrite broke free from the ice hands, otherwise she would have been crushed, but it's still crazy that aquamarine's wand could hold her in place. 2: Aquamarine isn't exactly O.P., it's only because of her wand. It's not a weapon that she summons either, it's era 2 gem technology that she has so she can defend herself and make her more powerful, like peridot's limb enhances. Peridot's i guess floating fingers, could also hold people and objects in place and move stuff around.
I hate it when people assume aqua is weak because she is useless without her wand! We haven’t even seen her gem power yet so we can’t just degrade her and call her a weakling.

I always thought that her wand was able to stop Alexandrite and Steven's friends at the same time because Onion and Alexandrite were in the water. Since the gems in the Blue Diamond area are related to water (like Blue Diamond's tears, Sapphire with ice(?), and Lapis with water manipulation.) You can see that Aquamarine pointed the wand at Alexandrite first in that scene, Onion where the laser is possibly connected to Onion's foot that's underwater next, and Steven's friends who were about to jump, last. When Aquamarine was looking for "My Dad", we've only seen Aquamarine use it on Steven and Pearl individually, who are both away from the ocean. The wand is strong, yes, but I think that's the weakness of that weapon; it can only affect a single person/gem unless they're in contact or near the waters. (This is long I'm sorry XD)
Her wand makes her the most powerful entity in SU.
I also like the fact that I was just thinking of Syndrome when you mentioned it in the video. 🤣

I always thought of it as a gemmade weapon like the destabilizer
When thinking about it, Aquamarine is like stun mechanics in fps, its annoying to deal with, but that's it, if someone have resistances to her Paralysis with her (i'm guessing its zero point energy as it fires a beam and it's not derived from the mind.) She's absolutely done.
I love aqua too, she's like the best character w/ Topaz
Blue Diamond's power did effect every gem in the room, however I think depending on one's power it has a greater effect. For instance Yellow Diamond's Pearl went straight into a fit, while Yellow Diamond herself did have small tears but it seemed like she was more annoyed by what was going on than feeling sad.
The only thing is that the wand isn't her weapon it's a piece of equipment, a tool.

We've only seen the tip of the iceberg of the diamond's power. Knowing the show, were going to see more danger with the diamonds! Aquamarine's ability to use threats and her wand might back fire on her one day.
Lapis is more or like aquamarine or peridot, in a place without water, she is pretty weak (like in change your mind where she can only fly around the diamonds)
Didn't Peridot have the exact same power in her limb enhancers?

In mirror gems ending while lapis was saying ‘do you even wonder who I use to be’ she doesn’t move at all she is dead still and she still created a water hand that put GARNET out of commotion for a short time. It is also shown that with the wand and peridots limb enhancers the gen is still conscious and aware meaning as long as lapis has water near by in range and she can see what she is doing she could easily create a water hand or huge ice spikes that could poof or even shatter a small gem like aquamarine

Alexandrite is not a fusion of all the original crystal gems because there was Rose, Busmuth (pretty sure I didn't spell tht right but rainbow dreads) and some others we don't know
It isn’t just the Diamonds’ power, there are OBVIOUSLY more from them, there’s just not enough episodes that they are in to show their power
How strong is Aquamarine?
Not as strong as mah Lapiz Lazuli
Lapis is more powerful because her wand is not her gem weapon or some thing
she can control when it's not in her hand which lapis can do because she can control water I still think lapis is more powerful my opinion tho 🙂
I think that Blue Diamond's powers don't affect humans because, in the episode where Blue visits Earth to see the Pink Palanquin, Greg was not crying but Steven was. This is just an assumption though because it may have been "rose" subconsciously crying or something of that sort

I think Aquamarine is Above Average Human Level because she carried Greg Universe. Greg is 40 in Adventures in Light Distortion which is in the same season as Aquamarine's debut. A 40 year old man is on average 200.9 Pounds which is Above Average Human Level.

It all becames much less impressive, when you realize she's unable to kill a regular durability child.
Given that Aquamarine is such a well known gem (birthstone) I suspect they used that name for a particularly potent gem. In fact the only birthstone not to appear yet is Emerald which makes me sure we will see one eventually.

Thing is I get that Aqua's got status and crap but at the end of the day, if you took away her wand (which is attached to her body, not an actual gem weapon like Amethyst's whip or Garnet's gauntlets) and put her In a fight against, say, Topaz, then it'd be pretty easy to take her out. I mean, yes, while she has her wand she's practically invincible, but that's really it with her. If anything, I'd say her wand is powerful and she's just your average gem.
There is a theory where she can control water like Lapis, because of her water wings, but that's just a theory and until we see more episodes with her, we can't say if she herself is strong or weak
She has good dodging skills and with strategy she can probably beat topaz
Aquamarine is stronger than the diamonds being the fact that she can easily immobilise anyone in any direction

Yellow Chipmunk Alexandrite is almost as tall as a diamond and she both completely immobilised and destabilised her form... Random person that is a terrifying thought being that lars is still on homeworld

Peridot used her limb enhancers so that means it is not aquamarine's gem weapon.

She's not powerful at ALL. Her wand isn't her gem weapon. It never comes out of her gem. It was a weapon given to her, like the destabilizer. If she didn't have the wand, she would be weaker than Peridot (as far as we've seen).

2:00 Actually I think you are underestimating how much it would take to stop a human. Power and Strength would not matter in this instance since the tractor field appears to wrap around and halt the victim in their last stance or pose. This is similar in concept to wrestling(the sport not the entertainment). Wrestling is all about holds and locks design to counter an opponents strength. Which means to the wand holding the victim mostly only needs to counter the raw mass of the victim.
1. Gem forms are made of hard light
2. Gem forms adjust automatically to the planets gravity(some can even control it directly: Rose/Steven's floating powers)
This implies that Gem forms actually are not that massive.

Actually Im more included to think Peridot would beat Aqumarine. Peridot has basically the same ability as Lapis(to control an element) but unlike water, metal shards are way more suited to poofing forms and cracking Gems. Also Aqumarine would be totally caught off guard, on account of her thinking Peridot is powerless.

STRONGLY disagree. Yellow Diamond having natural destabilizer lightning as an ability is *extremely* powerful in a Gem society. Aquamarine wouldn't stand a chance. Nothing we've seen indicates Yellow Diamond can't still discharge her lightning if caught by the wand. Which means Aquamarine would just get poofed by Yellow should she try, and then Aquamarine is defenseless. To say nothing of the possibility that Yellow may be able to discharge the destabilizer lightning in an Area of Effect.

Sigh... No. They just cried. There is nothing to indicate that they actually felt sad. The Green/Yellow Zircon looked more inconvenienced than struck by sadness. Remember this has ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED. When Blue came to Earth she made Steven cry, but he REPEATEDLY stated he didn't actually feel sad. Also note how each gem reacted differently. Its either not about how intensely Blue felt or I suppose Gems could have unique and varying resistance to it.
The Bubble around Lar's head wasn't why he didn't cry. Greg didn't cry once while Steven was leaking like a faucet when Blue came to Earth. It only affects Gems.
It apparently affects humans too since Connie was affected by it in the recent episode. It probably does on humans, but the effect needs to be strong enough for it to work on them.
Thinking it over since two years ago, yeah it was probably just a writing mistake.

She isn't strong, the wand is like a limb enhancer, we've seen peridot do the same thing with her limb enhancer fingers. We've actually never seen aquamarine fight using her physical body
