When Guy wrote this he felt it needed a 'rap' input so he took a big risk and sent it to Lupe Fiasco in the States (famous rapper) who loved it and agreed Lupe even came to Australia to promote it and in doing so won his first ever Gold & Platinum Record & his first #1 hit. He added it to his new album and won an Emmy nomination to which he invited Guy to the awards. They appeared on Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, and The Conan Show. I'm here for more Guy lol 💖
The live version of Guy singing in his home studio is worth listening to. I think its called Battle Scares on the Homefront. It's all accoustic and was played on Anzac Day for the diggers during COVID. I love both versions but hearing him sing live with just the Guitar shows how talented he is. He also plays piano . He is incredibly talented and totally underated only because he won the 1st Australian Idol.

Not the best version of this song, Guy did a live acoustic version 'On the home Front' on ANZAC Day, that really shows how great a singer he is!
