Good day. Very good video. If a coach wanted to use this for two athletes at the same time but the coach pushes the button to start is this possible if he is in the middle of them?
Hi Shannon, We haven't tested this ourselves but in theory that would work, Practically however it will be rather difficult. This because the coach will need to stand or lay in between the two athletes and the athletes will need to be within 80cm's of the pad pro 'cause it has a detection radius of 1,5m. 3 people within a space of 1,5m doesn't look very optimal to us, especially of you want to do block starts. Hope this answers your question.
Was it charged when you got it? Mine is not showing any green or red light, even when I try to charge it. I hope I didn’t get it broken… it does not have to be turned on somewhere, does it? I can only find one button 😢
@jonjoc2368 ours was charged halfway when we got it. There indeed is no “ON” button so you probably got a faulty unit. I suggest you contact the website/shop that you used to buy the TX Pad pro and tell them about the problem you encounter. They will most likely send you a new unit because as far as I know, there is nothing you can do to fix this problem yourself. I hope this get’s fixed soon so you get to play around with it.
Hey have you tried using the new touch pad pro with blocks? I got mine and been using it with the blocks and I'm disappointed. The unit feels nice and comfortable because it's flat. But when I go from the down to the set position it will blink sometimes, and therefore start before I go. Resulting in wildly different times, for example I went from a 4.05 to a 4.63 in consecutive 30m runs. That makes no sense, have you experienced this? It seems like the unit is just really sensitive, almost too much
We have tried it with blocks and up until this point we haven’t had the problem you described. There are a few things you can try, to test if you can surpass the problem where your force on the pad changes. 1) Try to slowly raise the hips from the set position. The quicker you go from “on your marks” to “set” the more likely it is that the force on your thumb will shift. 2) Try to keep your shoulders in a vertical line above your fingers and the pad. This way your force goes straight through the detection area into the ground and the chance of sensor being triggered by small changes will be less likely 3) if the above doesn’t work, try to change the direction of the pad so your index finger goes into the detection circle instead of your thumb. I hope one of these will help you to overcome this oversensitivity issue.
@@Speedbasedtech thank you so much for the reply! Yea it would sometimes blink MULTIPLE times in the set position. I ended up running a 3.9 which is a huge PR so I'm questioning how accurate this thing is. Also which hand do you usually put it under? The hand that moves forward or backward? I usually use the forward moving hand although I assume that shouldn't matter. I'm going to try what you suggested and will report back. Cheers!
@@Speedbasedtech Hey I just tried using my index finger on the pad instead and had zero issues! It didn't blink when I was in the set position so I could go without being paranoid (which slowed me down). Thank you for the recommendation I really appreciate it
@@user-ze3sg6ix1u good to hear this solved the problem. Concerning the question in your first reply, I always let the athletes put the hand on the pad that moves backwards but like you suggest, I don't se a problem with using the hand that moves forward. Enjoy your training sessions and hopefully many more training and competition PB's
@@Speedbasedtech Okay so now there's another problem: the light started to blink then fade out, I assume this meant the battery died (ive only had it for like 3 weeks max). I tried charging it and there is no light coming on when I do so, what does it look like when it charges? I let it charge for a long time and it won't turn back on lol, defective unit? Also thank you for the well wishes!

So its likely not more accurate then? Is the biggest improvement the fact that its thinner?
Indeed the biggest improvement is the fact that it's thinner and that the placing area for your thumb is wider and no longer a pressable button.
@@Speedbasedtech is Touch pad ?
@@一起踢 yes this is a touch pad, the thumb must be placed in the designated area for it to work. hope this answers your question
@@Speedbasedtech late reply, but thank you I just ordered this. How have you been enjoying it?
