Fr Simon, you are so cute in clarifying the difference between culture and beliefs. What puzzle me is why is burning red candle the the joss sticks allowed in Catholic Churches (during CNY) in Malaysia, but not here in Sg? Also, I saw, I. The last, cutting roast pigs or placing the wooden plagues in church, near the sacristy?
The Church has never officially said no to these, what people get may just some opinions from different priests. Important still the principle must be clear and firm.

虽然在某某讲座听过您讲到此话题，但我在这才慢慢地听。您把文化和圣经中的连接到很好，很清楚，我这华人不像华人的听了能够明白并接受。
我虽然不是摇篮教友，但这些文化又有总教参杂的，有时候令我感到有些不舒服，因为我本来是基督新教转过来的，但因为我在堂区中是带领人，举办新春弥撒有祭祖，是为了其他教友，而不是因为我习惯，有时候听到其他教友说“拜祖先”时，自己会担心起来，因为以我的背景来说，我会对一些用词特别敏感，但谢谢神父也在这方面解释。

舞獅舞龙是中华文化之一，舞獅舞龙有分好几种，其实如果教会請舞獅，那只是表演形式而已 😊
祭祖,引起教友誤解,因沒有確實得到教會的引導及講解,一部份教友也會學傳統的方式以銀紙來燒拜來祭拜祖先,有時也要尊重一些不要祭祖的教友,引起了背後的爭議,也令很多人跌倒,教堂的祭祖會不會引起了大家理所当然的孝道,一言難盡,所以講解要十分小心帶領
这个问题, 我洗禮了二十七年现在才真正明白, 很开心多谢神父的解释, 我会把这个频视转发给我的朋友姐妹们, 感恩🙏👋👋👋
