    Fresh never frozen whiting is some of the best eating just about any way you cook it and it especially looked good grilled...... I'd almost want whiting over crappie.....I did say almost....LOL

    Dang this makes me miss my Snook fishin in Tampa Bay. I used to make fillets into strips the size of my finger then bread em in Vigro Italian bread crumbs with alot of parmesan cheese mixed in the bread crumbs then I would dip the Snook fingers in egg then into bread crumbs again before i would deep fry them in a big cast iron dutch oven.
    Now living in Northern Humboldt County California all I fish for is Salmon, not the same.

    I think whiting is what we call sand trout

      Nope. Our whiting are a drum species more closely related to redfish. They have them in the Gulf also. Thanks for watching first comment!

      Plenty in the gulf. Such an underrated fish. That’s how I do pompano but I’ll have to try it with whiting nice job!
