So nice to go alone on the small boat. Do it a lot and the spot lock is awesome sea bassing too. Drop and reel. Awesome. I live jigging them. Get the big boat ready! BF tuna have showed up mid shore.
I have the same Minn kota on my 27cobia out of barnegat and I use a boat rope and loop the neck of Minn kota head push release and lift out of water so much easier when fishing alone

I ran back at about 32 knots or 35 mph or so. occasionally faster. Andy's shop is first class all the way around. Can't say enough good things about him and his business!

No we didn't fish today. I'm pretty sure our run on the 43 Ocean is over unfortunately. I think she will likely go up for sale soon. I just can't justify the endless hours of work, thousands of dollars....for it to just sit there. It'll be a sad day
I was in that area ish last sat sharking and flying the kite with live herring and bunker. At 1st light there were 100 class bluefin pushing on top. Lost about a 300lb thresher at 6am then had 2 huge brown and 2 huge what I believe we're blacktips. All were in the 200 range. All released. 2 hit the kite which was awesome to watch. Man you ain't going to run that beast to the shelf?!?! Dude I run the cigar 28 mile cayru every time I can in my 16. I used to stay between the reef and the 28 but that shit is a parking lot on the weekends with a bunch of disrespectful clowns who think rules don't apply when their boat is bigger. I keep 3oz sinkers handy to throw at their gel coats to get them to show respect

someone needs to teach him to revive fish. water was not meant to go through the gills backwards. that kills the fish oxygen. they look fine when you release them only to die later. bring them around in a circle or put the boat in drive and bring them through the water so it goes through the gills naturally.

Chris , any problems with Spot Lock ? My unit is going on second season been down twice,Board problem..cant count on it.
