You were fortunate to have the really high standard professional narration by Bruce McLean. Just as he was on many ARE videos on VHS that the ARE made where Bruce raised the quality with his narration.
Felt like I was taken back a few years with the opening title and the narration by Bruce McClean. He narrated ARE productions on the Ballarat Trams and V/line videos such as Power Parade and 4472 Downunder 'back in the day'. Well done.
Amazing coincidence that this was being premiered just as I was talking to my friend Ross telling me about his Sunday spent on this tour. A shame that the ARE needed to fold up. First ARE tour with Y 108 in 1961 before it went into the North Williamstown museum. Last ARE tour with A2 986 being 108 years old. So 108 crops up for the first and last tour. But not Y 108 being a spring chicken of just 72 years old or so when it did its last tour.
This is really good! I unfortunately wasn't volunteering on that train (I'm volunteering on this Sunday's one though), but it looks like it was really good! The history and narration was also awesome! Great job!
@@johnd8892 Oh yeah I've heard of him before! Ive seen him on 'Climbing the summit' which is actually on the same line where A2 986 goes in this video at Heathcote Junction
One of your very best video’s, well done. Excellent narration by Bruce McLean. Sad about the demise of the ARE, they were always a very professional group of dedicated enthusiasts. I still have my ARE Membership Lapel Pin from 1971, in pristine condition.

Very clever intro - well done - and the timing with the Comeng set at Kensington was almost too perfect! Great footage and record of a historic day.
Magnificent production, love the aerial shot at Seymour. The professional narration brought back many memories of other productions.
That intro brought back some serious nostalgia for me haha
Terrific production! Especially with the narration …
My god, you have absolute excelled the production on this one with the title and opener! Well done!
Amazing Video ! I loved the intro and commentary !
Bloody great video and very nice touch to get Bruce McLean to narrate. Really sets the scene for ARE videos. Well done
That transition at the start was slick af, well done! I enjoyed the narrator too.
Very well made video for the historic trip
Great work mate and a fantastic send off for the ARE, the narration made a great addition to the quality of the vid too!
Very enjoyable and well done loved it...
Love the A2. Excellent footage as always. 👍
Fantastic video mate. The narration for the video was fantastic and was very fitting for the occasion.
Excellent video. The voiceover gave it an old newsreel ambience and your filming was excellent as always
Great footage as always Adam, was certainly a good day, sad to see though the ARE folding up though of course.
Beautifully edited, fantastic vid
A beautifully produced video.
Very nice footage! Seen you at Seymour and Southern Cross filming.
10/10, portrayed an ARE production to the letter

Very nice video. There is me at Broadford Station

i like the VHS style intro of this video.
The Tallarook flagman was Bruce McLaren, former ARE chairman.
@@michaelformaini7053 thanks Michael, I did mishear. I’ve edited my comment to match your correction.
By chance, a friend of mine caught this excursion passing Moonee Ponds.
Yeah not a bad video.. You sound a lot like Bruce! 😏
When it was stopped at Broadford I could see myself filming it
What is the "final" in reference to? Is the A.R.E disbanding?
Yes they are going out in style
It seems so. Financial pressures I heard.
@@johnd8892 Not so, their financials were quite healthy and they are discussing what to do with the final balance.
@@johnd8892 it's more likely that they've been outed as paedophiles just like steamrail Victoria and the ARHS
Who's voice is doing the narrating?
Bruce McClean - End of the video :)
