Whenever I played D&D we always carried a door with us in Dungeons. Very handy. Pit trap. Door over it Injured player, door stretcher Too loot, carry it on the door. Need to block a doorway. Erm, door? Had a new DM that told me I couldn't take the first door we came to. I pointed out that between a Dwarf and a Thief I'm sure that getting a door of its hinges...
Suzi was the goblin. She was also under an employment contract to the wizard and you had to head to Freeport (Green Ronin Publishing, modified slightly) because under Freeport law all slaves were freed the moment they touched it's shores. Also it was the largest city that didn't hold any kind of speciest laws so a Minotaur or a goblin were as welcome as a halfing or a dwarf as long as they had money. The fourth player was Stephanie who I'm sure was the rogue because no one else was a rogue and Stephanie was still Stephanie. The gem had magical effects that meant when used for casting spells I rolled on two/three tables. One to determine what metamagic feat was put on the holder's spell, and one that determine what the other table would be. Because table two was just a list of every random table every published in an official 3.5 book other than wandering monster tables. Which is how she got a third arm (that she didn't control), and antlers, and how one time her eyeball shot out of her damn head and turned in to magic missiles that did max damage. As for the cultists who stole holy symbols I don't think you ever learned that in game other than that they worshiped a god of mischief. The Paladin left the party when she drew two cards from a Deck of Many Things and was reduced to level one but declared the new ruler of Freeport. Why was the deck there? Because one of the cultists was using it to play solitaire. Pro-tip for the Lazy Deity: Cults of Trickery don't need a reason if it makes things weird. ... I hope it's Reverse Dungeon next because I love the World's Greatest Trap although if the Witch Queen is who I think it is that's a good one, too.
No lie, Stephanie always got the least interesting stories because her attitude that she was the main character in a solo computer RPG annoyed me so I deliberately put less focus on her. Whereas your attitude that you were the coolest character in an ensemble cast was rewarded because you were interesting for everyone at the table. Does this make me a bad person? No. Does this make me a bad GM? Yeah probably. That and my know crystallized hatred of any story that revolves around someone being the most important person in The Universe TO The Universe. I've really lost my taste for narcissism even in fiction.
There are online dnd things like roll20 and quarantine is a very boring time, maybe you guys can get the group back together, give yourself some mental health time to do something that isnt video involved
...mmmm'yes....I would have thought that the "Chaotic crazy" thibg was very clearly a joke. But thanks for insulting one of my oldest and best friends. Super cool of you...
Captain I would love to make this character cannon in a dnd game I am currently running, with your permission of course. It is a game for new players who don't know that you can just have normal stuff to help with situations. With your permission I would love to give them "The Knapsack of Theo Bane" a simple bag of holding with the inscription "Hands off my stuff" on the main flap. When you reach into the sack and attempt to retrieve something you did not put in, there is a chance you will find what you are looking for. it this alright with you/would you want this done differently?
I dig it! Theobane is one word but other than that I dig it! Throw in an even smaller chance that instead of finding the item they need they take 1 pt of force damage (that feels like a slap on their hand) and 1 point of sonic damage as a booming voice from within the bag yells "I SAID HANDS OFF MY STUFF!" :P
Hey Cap I had a brilliant idea but I don't have the resources to experiment, but if half darts are more accurate theb how would mega react to getting cut down?
A friend of mine knew someone that played a wizard i think it was (feel free to correct me) but they were able to cast a shrinking spell on themselves and then use mage hand to carry their character around
Theres a shopping place near my house called Hornsea Freeport, each time he mentions Freeport, i just think of there - a sleepy outlet centre oft frequented by senior citizens

"They were expensive... thats why I took them off the people I killed!"
General,
I’m getting some serious Mary Poppins feelings from that shield Captain.
I was thinking the Magic Bag from Felix the Cat

this is great, it's good to hear of your D&D days
I think telling the story of each picture in your intro would be an funny option sometime.
I need help mod my nerf blasters and i know i can buy mods i would rather not break them.
I love the theatric influence.I may be looking into hobby-acting myself, inspired by your quirky yet epic roles.
“It’s going to destroy the world and that’s where I keep my stuff so I guess we should go stop it” is my favorite type of character in D&D
Chaylo- the survey is missing from the description.
It does seem to have run amok

The video has been out for less than a minute and somebody already disliked it !!
How could they!?
(also second [I think])
trolls
Just can't please everyone.
I have a few very dedicated haters who make it a point to dislike all my videos. Some people have NO lives...
I need fanart of this goblilope.
I also may steal your storage shield and make it a unique item for my future players to find.
Well if Susie's alignment was chaotic crazey(Neutral). Detect evil never would have detected her. So therefore bad gm.

I haven’t watched in 3 years good to see that your still doing well
The shield is a great idea and I wanna steal that idea

Hey Cap I had a brilliant idea but I don't have the resources to experiment, but if half darts are more accurate theb how would mega react to getting cut down?
The same. People have been cutting them down since they were first introduced.

No
Cap the plastic ridge that holds the catch in my Retaliator broke how can j fix it??
Might not be possible. Generally when a load bearing part breaks the only option is to replace it.
@@CaptainXavier ok :(
Mini Captain appeared in 8:22 Bangarang! Oh Captain, where's the form to vote for the next story time?
...bawls...I knew I was forgetting something...

As much as I enjoy these D&D stories, I would love to hear more Medieval stories. Or HvZ stories. Et cetera. Also the link to the doc is missing.

Video revisited, survey completed, story enjoyed once again. Thanks Captain!
Yes, her name was Suzy, and if you do the reverse dungeon, you should include the rope "trap." It was great.

Mini Cap was spotted in his natural habitat at 8:23.
