I'm sure McCourt probably didn't quite fully appreciate it, but imagine the amazing John Williams writing music as gorgeous as "Angela's Ashes" for your tellings of your life story.
Big fan of John Williams. So interesting that he wrote the music for such a small movie. But good for him that he chose to do so. I hear in the melody a similar motive as in Rey's Theme, rearranged.
reminds me of Joe Hisaishi. Switching back and forth between piano and conducting. We don't get to see JW perform that often, got any more vids of him performing?
+José Manuel Contreras you're welcome. you can't, it has been aired on PBS a long time ago. it's a boston pops show. you can see the second part of the tune and some other parts of the show on my channel (i don't post complete show in one video). it has never been released on Dvd etc ... only on TV.
It was a novel. A novel that was drawn from his experience. It was a great story. And he and is brother Malachiy became a part of New York that was wonderful. I am sure there are many parts of his story were true.
I don't care who you, what genre you're into but John Williams will always be the master of modern music! Bravo maestro!!!
Underrated score!!
Divine. John Williams is out of this world. My love for music would not be so deep if it weren't for this man. Thank you Maestro.
Mr. Williams is the best
Flutters depth of me heart

7:59 Sends chills down the spine

what makes you think that he didnt appreciate it?
Love when he suddenly stands up to conduct and then wonders around the soloists LOL. Thanks so much Didier! Keep them coming.

Same. I sometimes get a Star Wars vibe from this score, especially in the middle of the theme.
yes yes! more videos of JW!!! seed it! one day will be one big dvd documentary!

Schindler's list or this??
hoho
I think its a lovely show, sadly from researching a lot of what Frank Mcourt is saying is not a true picture of the facts.

What specifically about the book isn't true. Provide evidence to prove it.
Gah, the violins here sound so weak!
