i remember back in classic when i was playing priest vs priest against my friend, we both drew northshire clerics and circle of healing. we both got hit with 10 dmg fatigue card on turn 4
Jeeze Xenovia. "HearthStone, the family card game! Where when you run out of cards, your characters HAVE TO systematically stab themselves in the face, How exciting!" Poor Anduin, all the magic can't heal a Self-Destructive mental illness :'(
ThisGuyGamesOK i ahree to both of you and i know its never going to be a full skill game but this combo is just dirty + i don't have them cards so i cry evri time :(
Clayton Foreman actually loot hoarder is good against aggro. u got to draw a card without taking e 2 dmg and it has board present. against control it can be 4 mana draw 2 cards summon a 2/1.
Ya, Loot hoarder is worth having in your deck for sure. Milling away card because you run loot hoarder is unskillful. Removing a card from your deck because you misplayed it seems faulty.
Tbh combo decks are fun, problem is that dirty rats and aggro decks can easially fuck em up. Same can be said about reno decks... I mean had some strange pirate warrior hybrid just pulling brann + dirty rat, dragging out my Reno... Good luck surviving past that point.
Well malygos was literally at the very bottom of his deck. I wouldn't exactly call that a lucky outcome. But at least the auctioneers weren't *that* far down.
This reminds me of the pure combo patron decks. Considering how much blizzard supposedly doesnt want wombo combo decks, they sure are shit at avoiding them
It's been the theme for years man. I actually feel like they don't use it enough nowadays :( Always loved the positive vibe it gives to cool plays, even though they're usually annoying (albeit awesomely complex, at times) OTKs
trolden. when the first combo burst kills showed up he used the song just for the hey of it. now it sort of stuck. that's how a culture gets it's quirky sayings.
Yeah instant wins are the reason i stopped playing Yugioh. At least in MTG you have to get the perfect hand or do some weird BS like Mortal Combat/ Battle of Wits for instant wins. They almost never worked in my experience but were lots of fun in casual games.
Marketing ; pretty much 90% of why big companies games sell. that's why :P Aka it was in my recommended feed even tho i have zero interest in hearthstone, why? because they pay to expose it to as many people as possible, i don't even look up magic or other trading card games on youtube... so it's not a relation to that, it's probably just because i'm a gamer that plays fighting games and that somehow counts... Also a title like "why is this a thing?" kinda begs the question "i wonder what this video is about, let's have a look".... but yeah.. why is hearthstone a thing? and then we go back to the point i made about marketing :P Marketing is truly god, and that's a good thing. but don't get up in my reasoning for being here because of a site, uploader and company that went out of their way to make me check out their video/game.
hey dude just want to say hi you the man. Big fan bro You were the first person to win a hearthstone championship no one can ever take that away bad ass dude
It puts a smile on my face to see renolock in a situation where the only thing they can do is inevitably die!! The tables have turned and justice is served...
We're on opposite side of the boat on this one, I find Zoolock more interactive and "fair", midrange shaman can be overwhelming but it's manageable. Renolock is ridiculous in the sense that as an aggro player you must choose to completely ignore the other side of the board and send a Hail Mary... not saying they cannot be beat, just that they cause a state of inevitability which is ultimately draw dependent. I feel this takes away from what a card game is meant to be about. We see the same "archetype" used to beat the Renolock with the Aviana combo decks on the rise.
Yeseri Ernest Gaigulo I mean, if you're playing a very aggressive deck, and you're facing a very control-oriented deck, then drawing the game out is obviously going to end in them winning. As an aggressive player you have to make a conscious (although fairly simple) strategic choice, otherwise you are going to lose. Equally, as a control-oriented player, when I face aggressive decks, I have to go all out for the first 6 turns and do everything I can to stall the enemy unless I want to die before playing my first minion. I actually find the new druid decks surprisingly difficult, because if I go to fatigue, which I often do, I will lose with 100% certainty. The druid has forced me to design my decks to be more aggressive because playing Reno twice or three times is hardly enough when your opponent can play 1 mana 16/16 minions and never runs out of cards. I'm sure there's a way to out-control the druids, but I don't know how to, yet. I'm already at a disadvantage because I like to create my own decks from scratch.
+Tripticket I understand what you're saying and agree with you on the basic definitions of what control and aggressive archetypes should do by definition. My "squabble" ( and it might be to not having enough experience in the match-up ) is that there is no way back into the game as the aggressive player, yes control decks should always win given enough time but in this match-up it is binary i.e. 1 or 0 ( generally ) by turn 6, I always want to play my games out to learn as much as I can from them and I still occasionally try to play out my Renolock matches but I cannot deny that 75% of the time if I have not killed my opponent by t6 and RJ hits the board I find myself conceding. There might .... definitely is a sense of bitterness inside me.
At this point, a pretty obvious change. Just turn the card into a choose one: Mana or Card. Feels like the extra spell just gives too many advantages at this point in time. Feels like, in many druid decks, Wild Growth is almost better as the double spell/cycle than as ramp xD
Chibi Terasu It is not a "broken" or overly powerful effect by default. I do see the problem with the "choose one". However - I don't think it would be an overly problematic card.
he had to get ALL the cards to get the Combo, that's unlucky, all things consider sure he still won, but it could easy have been a loss because of that
THAC0MANIC Ik but still the overall point of the deck is to use the combo pieces to kill your opponent. His last card was one of those combo pieces. Unlucky!
It's a combo that requires 10 mana, 4 legendary minions (there's only 1 copy of each of them in the deck) and 2 brewmasters. For comparison, Force Roar used to require 9 mana, 2 cards and dealt 14 damage from hand if the board was completely clear.
And the fun and interactive Pyroblast that's always been in the game requires 10 mana and one card to deal 10 damage to face, and is not stopped by taunts. Two fireballs = 12 damage / 8 mana / 2 cards, not stopped by taunts.
i haven't had hearthstone videos in my recommended in like a year and just now i opened it after a year and a half of not playing went into youtube and this video was in my recommended... what the fuck.
It's okay if you have to spend a ton of money or gold buying packs to get a bunch of legendaries. Not to mention that many cards are being rotated out in 2017 (allegedly). It does suck for anyone that really enjoyed playing mid Druid.
lmao ''I thought Blizzard didn't like non-interactive decks'' or you high or something? ever taken a look at all the cancer on ladder? aint anything fun and interactive about that
lol deari, blizzard has expressed that they don't like non-interactive decks and they will systematically remove them from the game. Exactly what they did to patron warrior for that very reason alone.
+Hellopleesh "systematically remove" I beg to differ. Freeze mage still exists, it just wasn't as big of a problem as patron. They had to have seen how Kun would be used for OTK, but they made that card anyways.
Unless the new expansion comes out less than 2 months from the latest one, no, it will rotate when the expansion arrives which should be around April or something
Ooooh boy that combo. I wonder how easy it is actually to get to that game state =P I mean it looks kinda slow and I think it might be hard to win with against the ladder aggro pirate warriors and jade decks. I don't know though.
Well, why not give druid mana refreshment minion when he got innervates, aviana and some other craps? On any other class this would be not ba, but not that OP card, but yea, just give it to druid...
It's turn fucking 9 and you're taking fatigue damage. That is absolutely disgusting.
Frikgeek beats a meta where cancer aggro decks win by turn 6
i remember back in classic when i was playing priest vs priest against my friend, we both drew northshire clerics and circle of healing. we both got hit with 10 dmg fatigue card on turn 4
Jeeze Xenovia. "HearthStone, the family card game! Where when you run out of cards, your characters HAVE TO systematically stab themselves in the face, How exciting!"
Poor Anduin, all the magic can't heal a Self-Destructive mental illness :'(
How so? I'd rather die to agro than this bullshit. Remember patron warrior? this is like 10x as worse and doesnt take nearly as much skill to play.
Did you see that kind of deck with C'Thun? When on turn 8 you got like 60+ dmg from C'Thun?
you know shits about to get real when the epic sax guy starts playing
i only watch firebat for the rare sax dude occasions
which is basically every other video
He did say rare. So at least 1 per episode sounds about right.
Do you know what rare means? lol
XAL
That you're guaranteed 1 per pack, right?
so you only care about sax dude, not firebat
It's like Exodia all over again.
Generalizedfeelings god no no NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoOo
woo i can kill firebat for a card!
Mortalcoilerino Kripperino you don't belong here
Grandma Wolfy im searching for new job. i dont like the salty guy
OGrandma Wolfy
This patch is stupid, meme decks are becoming high tier decks LUL
better than it just being freeze mage and midrange shaman.
which is what HS was desgned for, so it's awesome!
ThisGuyGamesOK i ahree to both of you and i know its never going to be a full skill game but this combo is just dirty + i don't have them cards so i cry evri time :(
It's not consistent enough. Don't cry too hard.
lmao this isn't a high tier deck... This is a fun deck to play when you're fed up of playing the same decks over and over again and want something new
See, it's shit like this that makes people play Pirate Warrior
Don't make excuses for trash
Pirate warrior is a totally viable deck. It's not trash otherwise it wouldn't be played and it punishes greedy decks like the one Firebat played.
Rakiell I am very aware pirate warrior is good if it was bad it wouldn't be so obnoxious to play against
Don't make excuses for any one that plays that nauseating crap
Hey I'm just here trying to ladder with Buffadin
Loot Hoarder in Reno Lock is just begging for Reno or Jaraxxus to be milled.
Yep happened to me. I switched it out for a second ooze afterwards lol (only duplicate).
Strongside I know, rank 7 and people play fucking loot hoarder in warlock. just shows how much "skill" some of these decks take to play....
Clayton Foreman Reno lock has probably the highest skill ceiling in the game.
Fun and Interactive :)
Its a game based on skill :) :)
combo decks like this actually do take skill, for the person playing them. they arent very interactive for the other person tho
Tbh combo decks are fun, problem is that dirty rats and aggro decks can easially fuck em up. Same can be said about reno decks... I mean had some strange pirate warrior hybrid just pulling brann + dirty rat, dragging out my Reno... Good luck surviving past that point.
"Acidic Swamp PUNCH!"
damn i love you Ed. Probably one of the coolest editors ever. Thanks for making Firebat's content even more enjoyable
Firebat is Fireback!! PogChamp LUL
This randomly showed up in my recommendations and I had to watch it again, it's been so long. I miss you Firebat, hope you're doing well
The C'thun combo is way more hilarious. Aviana > Kun > Brann > C'thun buffer then drop c'thun
Noobie2k7 Yep, 60 damage combo.
+Overgelmer you can't play those cause your opponent is already dead.
5:44 ''SUPER unlucky''
Well malygos was literally at the very bottom of his deck. I wouldn't exactly call that a lucky outcome. But at least the auctioneers weren't *that* far down.
This reminds me of the pure combo patron decks. Considering how much blizzard supposedly doesnt want wombo combo decks, they sure are shit at avoiding them
Skip the Kripp 4:21
d r ss
avianna>kun>brann>cthun>brewmaster>cthun
combo druid is back
dear lord help us all
Sax remix is definitely a nice touch
Why do all the HS RUclipsrs use the Epic Sax Guy music?
I dunno maybe because it's epic?!
It's kinda like the Hearthstone theme now, idk how it started.
Trolden? Hysteria?
It's been the theme for years man. I actually feel like they don't use it enough nowadays :( Always loved the positive vibe it gives to cool plays, even though they're usually annoying (albeit awesomely complex, at times) OTKs
trolden. when the first combo burst kills showed up he used the song just for the hey of it. now it sort of stuck. that's how a culture gets it's quirky sayings.
le balanced card game.
Still more balanced than some other big ones.
But TgT and SoG together are just brutal right now...
I'm late for my date but fuck it, new Firebat video takes priority. 👍
Nice to see the epic sax make a return at long last too :P
Raptorclaw62 even got time to comment
lalo924 Yup lul It was all good, I got there just on time in the end lmao. Definitely worth the watch 😛
nice try bro, we know you don't got a date XD
Was.. was it all a dream? :c
Recommended 5 years later.
Truly the og days of everything
Feels like those Exodia decks, with the bamboo sword that let you win in turn 1...
or the old Exodia + Pot of Greed + Graceful Charity decks that allowed for FTKs.
Yeah instant wins are the reason i stopped playing Yugioh. At least in MTG you have to get the perfect hand or do some weird BS like Mortal Combat/ Battle of Wits for instant wins. They almost never worked in my experience but were lots of fun in casual games.
Chibi Terasu A good company wouldn't print cards that need to be banned
Fuck I wish I had the druid legendaries :(
Acidic swamp punch! *captain falcon* XD
Miracle's back baby
skip to 4:22 to avoid the boring pointless stuff before.
Pointless huh? You mean the best way to cycle and play your turns from a pro?
people came here to see kun + aviana
It's "x", not "+".
the videos title has no mention of aviana or kun so why would people come to see aviana kun
you know the video is going to get lit when epic sax guy comes on
Firebat with the Smash reference?
Noice.
I personally prefer magic to hearthstone, HS just feels way too much like it plays itself.
Sushi then why are you here
Marketing ; pretty much 90% of why big companies games sell. that's why :P
Aka it was in my recommended feed even tho i have zero interest in hearthstone, why? because they pay to expose it to as many people as possible, i don't even look up magic or other trading card games on youtube... so it's not a relation to that, it's probably just because i'm a gamer that plays fighting games and that somehow counts...

Marketing is truly god, and that's a good thing. but don't get up in my reasoning for being here because of a site, uploader and company that went out of their way to make me check out their video/game.
Lovin the sax buddy
wow it only took five minutes to get to the punchline of the video!
He showed the whole game though
Acidic Swamp PUUHNCH!!!
hey dude just want to say hi you the man. Big fan bro You were the first person to win a hearthstone championship no one can ever take that away bad ass dude
i dont have those legendaries :(
I don't have half the cards he played!
Брам Костер ok.
that moment when you're the other guy and you're "...yep... that... yep... that was coming... yep... fuck..."
Nicely done Firebat. Befitting that the most epic of combo featuring Epic Sax Guy!
That deck looks really easy to play but nice combo.
That was awesome well done sir
But this one player keeps kicking my ass.
[TFOP]FireTail TheLegend27?
jakob paulsson Yes TheLegend27
Some say he is the first game of war player ever
so how much is game of war paying you guys to make comments on random videos?
senko ukura It's a meme bruh
I couldn't find the decklist for this so I uploaded one myself.
www.hearthpwn.com/decks/701541-malygod-druid
It puts a smile on my face to see renolock in a situation where the only thing they can do is inevitably die!! The tables have turned and justice is served...
I don't think Renolock is especially bad as a deck archetype. I'd much rather play against Renolocks than Zoolocks or "midrange" shaman.
We're on opposite side of the boat on this one, I find Zoolock more interactive and "fair", midrange shaman can be overwhelming but it's manageable. RIP innervate BibleThump
Here's a thought to start, get rid of the card Excess Mana as its own spell.
At this point, a pretty obvious change. Just turn the card into a choose one: Mana or Card.
Feels like the extra spell just gives too many advantages at this point in time. Feels like, in many druid decks, Wild Growth is almost better as the double spell/cycle than as ramp xD

You know why, you know why.
It appears to me Firebat is the only player i know who's at top of his game at all time!
Every player goes on tilt sometimes, especially streamers. Strifecrow and Zetalot are also pretty top notch.
Ludwig before Ludwig
muahahah the return of cthun druid! combo so sick.. you heard it from here first. let me get some credit haha
The c'thun varient is currently more ridiculous. But that will tone down when bran cycles out.
Also, beware the dirty rat to fuck up your combo.
That was phenomenal!
FIREBAT I LOVE YOU! PURE INNOCENT SWEET CARD PLAYING BOY!!!
Now thats a freakin Yu-gi-oh turn rofl
Yu-gi-oh has counters though.
Man, how I fucking miss you and your HS videos, hope you are doing well.
Dat Super Smash Bros. "reference".
I like how he claims he got super unlucky and such ....
he had to get ALL the cards to get the Combo, that's unlucky, all things consider
sure he still won, but it could easy have been a loss because of that
Well, one of the 3 key pieces of his combo was literally in the bottom of the deck.
right its the most unlucky he got yet he won and OTK Na I dont think this requires more combo then other decks truth be told ...
THAC0MANIC Ik but still the overall point of the deck is to use the combo pieces to kill your opponent. His last card was one of those combo pieces. Unlucky!
just look at some of the other random OP Combos you can pull from just the 1 Minion itself ...
This is a new deck but hey, let's remove Ole' Murk Eye cause fuck combo decks amirite?
You could've faceless manipulated the malygos and just win with the swipe
I played against a version of this deck that used Brann + C'Thun + Brewmaster as the winning combo. So fun and interactive
I'll sub for the awesome song cue at the end :O
Those fuckin MOUSE CLICKS dude!!!
What is that song? I googled "Firebat begins murder theme" but nothing came up.
It's from the eurovision song contest 2010, the moldovan song has the sax solo in it that turned into a meme.
knowyourmeme.com/memes/epic-sax-guy
Yeah, but we want the remix, lmao
Calvin Libby really late but the song name is run away.
Jeez, Firebat grew up, didn't he
So epic that you made a vid on this deck its so damn awesome i just don't have all the cards for it XD
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
WTF?!
firebat, can you give us your decklist for this one, I have aviana and kun and it really seems funny to play!
lasterman he drew his entire deck just watch the video over
imgur.com/a/y5hfH
Nano LT thx bro!
It's not a highlander deck so obviously it's bad.
This is amazing
What's up with all that clicking sounds? it is kinda disturbing
It's his mouse.
yea, one of them is. The other one is that bothers me. at 3:30 to 3:45 for example
that's his other mouse button
i hate his mouse
Nobody see the creeper peeking in the crack in the window in the back?
wait this is old nevermind lets watch again anyways
Looks like a card game version of BSJ
i am here somehow
insane man...
i haven't had hearthstone videos in my recommended in like a year and just now i opened it after a year and a half of not playing went into youtube and this video was in my recommended... what the fuck.
So why is this on the right side of my screen when I don't watch or play hearthstone, and I'm currently watching a Monty Python skit?
It's like exodia you just draw until you have it and win lol
Aren't all OTK decks "like exodia" though? And you dont necessarily win against Armor Warrior or Freeze Mage either
not with this one but you kill anyone with c´thun one
He's so fucking good
Anyone else notice the figure looking in through the window?
i love firebat
LG????
Nice.
nice
Oh so this is why I see this shit every other game now.
I thought Blizzard didn't like non-interactive decks
it's a combo deck, they exist in every card game
It's okay if you have to spend a ton of money or gold buying packs to get a bunch of legendaries. Not to mention that many cards are being rotated out in 2017 (allegedly). It does suck for anyone that really enjoyed playing mid Druid.
lmao ''I thought Blizzard didn't like non-interactive decks'' or you high or something? ever taken a look at all the cancer on ladder? aint anything fun and interactive about that

+Hellopleesh
"systematically remove"
I beg to differ. Freeze mage still exists, it just wasn't as big of a problem as patron. They had to have seen how Kun would be used for OTK, but they made that card anyways.
Damn Firebat looks like younger Kibler lol
he's actually kibler's illegitimate son. True story
Pretty cool!!
Hahaha saxo guy finish
Aviana and Kun Best power couple.
C'thun version is better (or at least more fancy)
Aw man, that sounds interesting. I'm guessing Brann + Brewmasters?
You don't even need brewmasters, just Brann and watch C'thun melt your opponents whole board and face.
What is that music you played, I have heard it some of your other videos, and now I am curious.
Yandere Druid!
So Blozzard, about OTK deks... LUL
i love this deck very fun!!!
I would craft avianna if she is not getting rotated out when the next expansion come out....
Tywi Liang actually, she is being rotated out in January
Unless the new expansion comes out less than 2 months from the latest one, no, it will rotate when the expansion arrives which should be around April or something
Oh nvm, I was wrong
i don't even play this game, why am i here?
what is the name of the song played at the end of this...i hear it all the time in video game 'when the magic happens' videos
Ooooh boy that combo. I wonder how easy it is actually to get to that game state =P I mean it looks kinda slow and I think it might be hard to win with against the ladder aggro pirate warriors and jade decks. I don't know though.
man I dont have either druid legends
Well, why not give druid mana refreshment minion when he got innervates, aviana and some other craps? On any other class this would be not ba, but not that OP card, but yea, just give it to druid...
Lukáš Douběta it's not op. this card would be useless in any other class
4:26 dat sax
is there a decklist?
