I like her spirit and love for art. I'm glad I'm a vintage picker and seller that used to have stuff everywhere in my home, but then had to stop and think what are the things I just can't live without and then started to edit and curate what I'm interested in. I think she will get to that point. I think when you find the joy of finding things and then think about sharing with others your unique finds as a seller of objects are when things turn to get some breathing space and know that you are helping objects find wonderful homes. It's always good to have lots to edit from because there's so much joy that comes from curating. I have worked with interior designers and architects professionally as a graphic designer and have always thought I would like to tell a designer that these certain objects in my home are must have and others are okay to leave out and see what they come up with and surprise me. I think that would be fun. I was taught in graphic design to limit my tricks to two per design page. It's a pretty good rule and it probably applies to interiors in creating a composition of a wall or space. The idea of creating moments within a space.
Such a thoughtful comment! I love how you’ve shared your experience with curating and editing your collection. It’s true that the joy of discovering unique pieces can really change the way we think about our spaces. Finding the right balance between personal treasures and breathing space is such an art in itself. Charlie is definitely all about curating her collection and I’m sure she’ll continue to evolve her space over time. Your idea of surprising a designer with a 'must-have' list sounds like an amazing experiment! The two tricks rule from graphic design is such a great principle and definitely something that can apply to interior design too. Thanks so much for sharing your insight!
Honestly, at first I was simultaneously delighted and overwhelmed. After hearing the stories of the items that she treasures, I wanted to know more and I found myself wishing I could peruse her apartment and get lost in the story of each piece. I recently went to an estate sale. The gentlemen who has sadly passed away, obviously lived a very full life as a journalist. It was so intriguing to see the things he had apparently collected from all over the world.
I completely get that feeling! It's amazing how each piece can tell a story and give so much character to a space. I love how Charlie's collection has such personal meaning behind it. Your experience at the estate sale sounds fascinating-there's something special about seeing a person's life through the things they've gathered over time. It really makes you wonder about the stories behind every item
Absolutely! Charlie’s collection is such a testament to the joy that comes from surrounding yourself with things you love. It’s amazing how every piece holds a story and adds to the warmth of her home. ❤
What a beautiful, creative, sensitive lady! I love that she has surrounded herself with things that resonate with her. Even though I am trying to downsize my art works and collections, I really appreciate and admire her space. Joyful, vibrant, fascinating and stimulating ❤❤❤
Absolutely, it's a space full of character and personality! While cleaning might take a bit more time, the result is totally worth it for such a unique and vibrant environment. Glad you love it!
That’s so exciting! Sounds like your apartment is on a fantastic path-art and colour truly bring so much life to a space. Keep going; it’ll be fabulous!
Glad you appreciate and collect art Charlie and play piano. I am retired artist and my apartment is filled with my work and those artists I have collected. Not as many as you have and not 3D. They do make a happy home but cleaning is a problem.😊 Thanks. I would have liked to see more of your work.!!
Thank you for sharing that! It's wonderful to hear about your own art collection and how it brings happiness to your home. If you'd like to see more of Charlie's work, you can check it out on her Instagram @curio.party
Something makes me think that Charlie could talk about her pieces of art for hours, but that would make the tour too long 😂 thanks for showing what you could.
This is a beautiful example of when you have white walls and fill them with eclectic art! Many apartments don't allow for painting walls so this home is inspiring and a fantastic example. Well done!
FASCINATING !! ♡ i'm intrigued by her eclectic style & especially her LOVE for art !! ( BUT personally i'd find it WAY TOO OVERWHELMING!! & i wouldn't be able to focus or relax) ...i'm an ARtiSt myself (who only creates in black and white) and i'm inspired by minimalism. thank you for this video - it was fun to watch! =)
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s always so interesting to hear how different styles resonate with people-Charlie’s eclectic approach is definitely a lot to take in, but it’s great that you find inspiration in minimalism and black-and-white art. Both styles have so much to offer in their own ways! We all have our unique ways of creating and living, and it's lovely to see how art can inspire us in different directions. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Love to see a place that shouts loudly out the personality/history/etc. of a person who lives in!!! As a frequent mover myself (not my intention tho), I wonder how she packs all her arts when she has to move lol I indeed enjoyed watching it! Thanks for sharing :)
Charlie’s home is such a vivid reflection of her personality and story-it’s inspiring! Packing all that art would definitely be an adventure, but I imagine she’d have it down to an art form (pun intended 😉). So glad you enjoyed the tour!
This place is what I called an organized clutter! So much personality and so homely, remind me of chaotic asian household but with much more curated clutter!
Such a great observation! Charlie’s home really embraces that blend of ‘organized clutter’ where every piece has its own story and place. It’s amazing how she’s created a space that feels both curated and lived-in, with so much personality in every corner!
Charlie actually owns her place, so she can go all out with her art collection. It’s such a bold and inspiring statement! Maybe you could start with a smaller gallery wall-no landlord heart attacks necessary!
My walls are like this too. But my wife refuses to let me go all the way to the floor. Nor has she agreed to let me have the paintings When renovating our small home we did put in one 12’ wall with recessed lighting to feature 4 3’x4’ paintings.
That sounds like a beautiful way to showcase your art! A 12' wall with recessed lighting sounds like the perfect display. It’s all about finding that balance, and I’m sure your paintings will shine beautifully in the space! Hopefully, you can win her over with the floor-to-ceiling idea one day 😉
Charlie’s style is definitely bold! Her love for art fills every corner and makes her space feel so alive. It’s always interesting to see how everyone has their own unique way of making art a part of their home!
I've just realised what I'm doing wrong with my interior - I haven't got much on the walls!!! I don't know why, but I limit my 'artwork display' to a large rectangular piece over the bed or the sofa, perhaps a mirror in the hall or a set of three pictures etc but what I need to do, judging by this gorgeous apartment, is to LET RUDDY RIP and shove just about anything on my wall. Now, where did I store it all .......?????
There is way too much clutter everywhere. Even rules apply for Maximalism. You can't abandon good design principles over ones personal taste and feelings. Learning to edit and have a solid foundation of good design is how you differentiate between great disigners.
I can imagine just sitting here with a cup of coffee, taking in all the art! It really is like a private art gallery.
That sounds like the perfect way to enjoy her space!
High functioning organized art hoarder 😊❤😊
Great watch this morning and very inspiring way to start the day. Thank you 😊
Finally a Toronto condo with personality. Not the usual bland minimalism that we usually see. I love it!! We need more colours in the world.
Her use of colour and personality in every corner is so inspiring-it really proves how vibrant a home can be!
I love how open concept her apartment is, really give her more freedom to be creative
I absolutely love how the apartment feels like a gallery yet still so cozy.
I am a maximalist so this space warms my heart. Very ordered chaos. Not for everyone so I understand. Her pieces are very personal and intentional.
This tour just inspired me to bring more art into my own home. Love her style 👍
That's awesome to hear! Art really has a way of transforming a space. I'm sure your home will look amazing with more pieces! 😊

Very eclectic! Love the art… It must be a chore to clean, but such a unique space. I love that is not a cookie-cutter space.
Absolutely, it's a space full of character and personality! While cleaning might take a bit more time, the result is totally worth it for such a unique and vibrant environment. Glad you love it!
I could spend hours in this space just taking it all in. How does she choose which art to display?
Love it ❤
there's no empty wall in that house. She has a keen eye for art. I want to copy her. Even though i am a minimalist...
❤❤❤❤❤ Loved everything about her beautiful curated home ❤
I. Am. SWOONING. What a gorgeous maximalist dreamscape. I LOVE it!
It's truly a maximalist's dream come true! So much personality and life in every inch of the space. Glad you love it too! 💖✨
Nice home tour, subscribed.
Thank you for subscribing! Glad you enjoyed the tour-more unique and inspiring spaces coming your way soon!
Proud of Charlie and this vibrant space with vintage artworks that Charlie has been putting so much love and creativity in.❤
Charlie’s passion really shines through in every corner of the space! It’s so inspiring to see how much love and creativity she’s poured into it ❤
LOVE!!! So excited to see beautiful things in a lovely home.
AAAHHH!!! THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SPACE!!! I love her style! Very much my vibe. Happy colors, weirdness, and a clutter of art. Love it!
Totally agree-Charlie’s space is such a joyful, artistic vibe!
Wow… I love everything. But the cleaning and dusting would be overwhelming. 🩷🩷🩷
Very vibrant and happy her place is:) love it
This looks like where my apartment is heading. I love it!! All the artwork and colors, fabulous!🥰

Wow I love her personality so bubbly !! ☺
Her vibrant personality really shines through in every corner of her space! So glad you enjoyed the tour!
Very unique I have never seen a living space like this before
Charlie's space definitely has a one-of-a-kind vibe, blending art and personality in such a special way. 😍

Exactly! It’s amazing how Charlie’s art collection transforms the space, proving that you can make white walls come alive with creativity.
Your home is lovely. So nice of you to share your happy home. Thank you for giving us a glimpse.
Charlie's home truly radiates happiness, and it’s wonderful to see how much people are enjoying this glimpse into her vibrant world.
WOW 👀 Spectacular ♥️ You could never ever get bored in this place! Amazing 👌🏼
Right?! There's so much to look at and discover in every corner-it would never feel boring! Glad you love it too! 😍✨
It’s rare to see so much personality in a home space
Her collection of art is amazing. Great tour :)
Her collection is truly something special! So happy you enjoyed the tour and got to see all the incredible pieces she’s gathered over the years! 😊

wow, she has a dominican diablo cojuelo "lechones de Santiago" in her wall as an art piece, LOVE IT!!

@theartofinteriors Yes !! i completely agree with you !! that's what makes ARt so wonderful !! =)
I would be overstimulated living here… but it is great to have a look inside
I love it , love to just walk around and take each piece in but couldn’t live there. Too much maximalists for me to be 24/7. Great place to visit.
Thank you for your Joie de Vivre and Hapiness....! Beautiful Arts pieces!
She really does bring such joy to her space, doesn’t she? Her art collection is incredible - so glad you enjoyed the tour!

Totally agree! Charlie’s space is full of life and character - she’s truly created something special!
This is my dream her apartment is what I imagine my walls covered in art
Right? It’s like stepping into a personal art gallery! Charlie’s love for art is so inspiring, and she’s made every wall a canvas.
This is a maximalists dream, but as someone who considers myself a minimalist this would be too much
This place is what I called an organized clutter! So much personality and so homely, remind me of chaotic asian household but with much more curated clutter!

I'm 37 seconds in and i already love it. So chic.
Charlie’s space has that instant charm!
I'm from Hamilton. That picture of the steel plant is Dofasco.
Wow - we have lots of art on the walls but this is too much even for us! Great if you can live with it.
Charlie’s style is definitely bold! Her love for art fills every corner and makes her space feel so alive. It’s always interesting to see how everyone has their own unique way of making art a part of their home!
Beautiful home. Love the colors but id hate to be the one who dustes that place

acumuladores, onde vivem, do que se alimentam...
I hate minimalism and love art and colours... but this is too much it's almost overwhelming 😵💫 AND how does she keeps everything clean? 🤔
how does she hang all of that art on her walls? there must be tons of holes hiding behind that art haha. nevertheless it is a beautiful home
Nice collection. Where does Charlie find her pieces?
Çok dolu, mağaza gibi.
I couldn’t live there it’s overwhelmingly claustrophobic
She really needs a bigger apartment 😊
I’d hate to have so much stuff if I didn’t own the place.
bunnyyyyy
Oh my goodness, I love beautiful things around me, but I do need room to breathe. If she loves it that's all that matters.
“African sculpture” there is no such thing it implies disinterest in the object. Is it Congolese, from Nigeria where
Ya I wasn't satisfied with that either. She should have just said it was a gift or something.
I am frazzled
Seriously I got a headache from trying to find an object to focus. My mind was all over the place. Yikes not for me no good for my anxiety
There is way too much clutter everywhere. Even rules apply for Maximalism. You can't abandon good design principles over ones personal taste and feelings. Learning to edit and have a solid foundation of good design is how you differentiate between great disigners.
too much. A lot of the pieces are not being shown in their best light. Over cluttered for me. So much lovely pieces.
Once known as clutter
I love color and a lot of cool things as I'm a maximalist, but this is one hot mess !
Too much for me
😮 esta mujer tiene muchas cosas para ver en su decoración que se puede ver nada😂
Come on .. this is a commercial showroom rather than a home :)
Toooooooooo much, busy, busy, busy… it looks like a thrift boutique.
Too cluttered. I am having a panic attack.
Omg, this is a hoarder’s house. Fire hazard 101. This is just suffocating to watch. At least it seems she tries to keep it clean
Can’t handle the apartment, it’s like being inside someones brain clutter
