One of Donatella's best couture show in recent years.
usforsarah I don't follow runway/fashion, but wow, beautiful.
I'm reading some of the comments on the choices of the outfits that Donatella and her staff put forth in order for a great couture show. First of all, if a model can't walk on a runway, its not the shoes, its not the dress, its not the runway. It is up to the model to use their knowledge of walking for years to know how to handle a dress with more tulle, or shoes that may be too large in height. Anja, Karlie, and Kendall handled the shoes and dresses with no problem. As for the comments regarding the couture collection, in case you were wondering this is HAUTE COUTURE, it isn't a pret-a-porter, its not a regular spring summer, or fall winter collection. Haute couture is a desinger's emotions, dreams, and desires hand made and implemented into clothing. If it isn't daring, different, or unique it is NOT Haute Couture. I loved the entire collection because Donatella is living up to her Versace aesthetic. In case you haven't wondered, i would say close to 6 or 7 of these looks have already been worn to various red carpets. So obviously Donatella is doing something right.

Loved most of the collection, I can easily see how they brought the corset to the 21st century in a modern way as well as some hints of historical styles from the 60s, 70s 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Love the second and the last quarter of the collection. Absolutely beautiful.

Shijo Kaze These are not the original supermodels. The originals are those who reigned between 1989 and 1995. That was when they were more famous than any musician or actor and the whole world knew who they were outside of the fashion industry, they were part of pop culture. The first original was Cindy Crawford, followed by the Trinity - Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, followed by Claudia Schiffer and then Kate Moss. They were called the Big SIx, and their likes has never been seen again and probably never will again in the modelling industry. The other models of that era eg Elle MacPhearson, Helena Christensen, Yameen Khauri, Carla Bruni etc were less famous but still considered "super", but nowhere near the BIg Six who ruled the fashion world and could influence, inspire and even control designers and fashion media. No model since has that power or the kind of money they were paid.
