    My father had one of these for years until he finally couldn’t get up on his own. Getting up from a regular chair was unknowingly the only exercise that he had. Another time, my mother got stuck in hers for a few hours while the power was out

    Great for giving knees a break during recovery from an injury too.

    Worst thing we ever dId for Mom was get her one this type of chair. Prior to this type chair she used her leg and arm muscles to get herself into & out of a chair. She became so weak she needed help with everything and it forced her into a wheelchair and subsequently a assisted living facility.

      Yes, you do have to make sure you are doing as much as you can on your own too. This is always only a help!

    I wish companies made chairs for vertically challenged people. I am 4’10” and chairs push my head forward because the area where your normally would be, is midway or above my head. I have found a low back office chair but it would be nice to have a nice high back chair. I am considering checking out office/gaming chairs for kids. Do you have any advice?

      That’s not a bad idea to look in the child section. A lot of companies do make child size is with a call it but a shorter adult would benefit from it too.

      @@BobandBradwhat was the name of the office chair company that you recommended. It was in the “setting up you office” video? I’ll start looking there. I doubt a company that makes office chairs would make a small size but you never know.
      At 35 I don’t fit a women’s size 4 shoe. Instead, I am a 3.5 in girls. When I graduated from high school, I wasn’t quite out of the teens’ clothing sizes. Finding certain things as a smaller adult that are age appropriate is challenging.

      Did you get a replacement? It should be covered with the warranty?

    When I clicked on the link for what I thought was this chair it brought up an office chair. I am unable to find this link in the description. I would love to get this for my Dad for Father’s Day.

    We got my grandmother one in the 70s. It was except for it's covering, would be appropriate in a formal room.

    I have one but only use it as a recliner. I was in it once when the power went out. It's hard to crawl out when it's stuck open. I'm in Florida so for the hurricanes that have gone across the whole state recently, I didn't sit in it. Didn't want to be stuck in it when the power went out.

      A UPS will solve that problem ... you'd have enough power to bring it back up out of the reclined position.

    Nice chair. Worthless if there is a prolonged power outage which could happen if the grid goes down…like in the case of an E M P. (Electro Magnetic Pulse)…nuclear explosion above the earth’s atmosphere.

    You need to have some type of in-home repair warranty. I had to replace a motor on a recliner. Finding it was a nightmare, and I had to replace it myself.

    • @BobandBrad
      @BobandBrad  3 месяца назад +2

      Thanks for the feedback, did they not have a warranty? We will definitely discuss this with the company! Was it this recliner that you had the issue with?

    • @raffinataonline
      @raffinataonline 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BobandBrad No, another brand & it wasn't a lift. Someone getting up in age is probably not going to be able to turn a chair upside down, remove the motor, and replace it. These chairs are nice, but there really needs to be a way for people to get them fixed in home. My power recliner was out for months. The chair mfg is probably not going to help. You have to go through the store or find who makes the motor & contact them, provided you can find them, and then find someone to install it. Most have a 2 yr warranty, but when the motor goes out someone has to replace it & a lot of people are NOT going to be able to do that.
