    Hi fellow Discoverers. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. Do subscribe and ring the bell if you are keen to see more of Singapore. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience 😀
    If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. I am also interested to know where you are from 😄 so drop a comment below and say hi!

      Hi Bro,
      Stayed in Toa Payoh, Blk 61, Lor 5. There is a popular food centre nearby with a number of good stalls like char koay teow, minced meat noodle, bbq chicken wings and claypot rice. If you're a Western Food lover, head across the road to Blk 51 Coffee Shop. The stall is called UNO BEEF HOUSE. The fried chicken wings are yummy too. The Mushroom Noodle stall has long queue but worth the wait.
      Walk over to Lor 4 , is Ocean Curry Fish Head (Blk 92) Near the market at Blk 93, is a coffee shop next to the Bird Singing Stand. Inside the coffee shop is a popular koay teow soup stall which I loved.
      The above is a " discovery read along" I reckon. Hahaha. Thank you and have a cheerful n wonderful day, bro.

      Nice! Super prime location. I used to work at the nearby General Magnetics Building and will go to the nearby food centres. Good memories during that working stint. I wonder if much has changed in the estates there. Been a really long time since I walked the interiors of Toa Payoh

I have very sweet and warm memories of that time I came back because I love India but when I returned back I felt the same for Singapore as well :). • @DiscoveryWalkingToursTV
      @DiscoveryWalkingToursTV 5 лет назад

      Thanks for the concern 😷 Didn't wear a mask as it was bearable. It looks hazy but I couldn't smell the burning (at that time). If things get worse, I intend to stay indoors this weekend. But yeah. Yishun is MEGA huge now. Northcity Point is larger than Jurong Point (I think) and I was shocked how large it was. I didn't even have time to visit the higher levels of the shopping mall.

  • @blmetal65
    @blmetal65 4 года назад +3

    On weekends, this shopping place is really over crowded with shoppers and visitors. Its also a headache to locate certain shops and retail outlets bec some brilliant architect designed the layout like some confusing maze or labyrinth. Enough 'tunnels' to give ppl claustrophobia.

      Glad to hear from you Urs. Sad to see the haze affecting our skyline, but it is still bearable (when I filmed it). I am hearing our neighbours (Malaysia, Brunei Indonesia itself) are suffering badly over there so hope it gets under control soon.
