I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

Instead of flash forward, we should see them slowly grow up with their audience, in turn allowing characters to grow and having more potential for lessons

@@CleverByrd like there is already a lot of amazing ideas, like maybe blueys first day in elementary school or having to stop using booster seats
The fact the characters do age (Bluey and Bingo both had birthdays and it’s not reversed) tells me that’s the intention for as long as the show goes on, even if it’s for the sake of keeping the same voice actors as their voices mature. I’m just not sure if the show will stretch out long enough for the kids to grow into their teens.

I can see Rusty as a teacher but I also could see him as a Therapist for kids and with his background in outdoorsy adventure type things I could see him leading adventure therapy groups for teens/adolescent/ young adults. It’s becoming a more popular style of therapy recently and could fit him well

Also a therapist job makes more sense since his dad is in the army and could get PTSD.
If it weren't a kids' show and were instead more realistic, I think Rusty would be a great therapist specializing in troubled young men. They're a really underserved demographic in general, and many boys and young men find it a lot easier to open up to a male therapist than a female therapist.
While Bluey isn't shy of difficult topics, it would probably be too complicated to cover in a five-second flash forward.
If rusty ends up joining in the military like his dad I would like to honour his service for protecting his country like his father would do. (edit: if your theory’s to you people are right or not I’m just glad he’s all grown up to be something that he wanted to be but I’m grateful for your theory’s to you people.)
Spoiler alert, they actually did reveal what he will be as an adult.

I could totally see Muffin being outspoken in some sort of way when she’s older. She’s got that spunk and confidence needed to speak up for her fellow dogs. :)
I think Rusty being a teacher in the future is also a great fit!

I'd love for the Bluey characters to have a flash forward of being teenagers, mainly to give teenagers a proper representation unlike before where they were stereotyped as being overly rebellious, obnoxious, and mean to their parents. Show a realistic side to teenagers growing up, what Aussie teens/teenagers in general are actually like, wanting independence while still loving their parents, learning of the parents flaws, showing them the real world both good and bad, and giving teenagers more appreciation and love; rather than give all the love to just kids and adults.
I still enjoy toying around the thought of adult Bluey's characters and a thought is that maybe Jack could be so inspired by Rusty's love of the military that he becomes a general of Australia's military or a really good first commander.
I just think that giving teenagers more love and representation is a good idea first and I just LOVE the idea of a flash forward or characters gradually growing as the series goes on if possible.
This idea is something I would love to see! The concept kind of reminds me of the Rugrats special where all the kids are teenagers. If it’s done similar to that it would pretty neat. I’d also like to see how the relationships develop (and considering how well done the representation in Bluey is, maybe some LGBTQ+ rep
in the teenagers?) because they could only grow closer I feel!
I think TMNT Mutant Mayhem did this sort of thing, especially casting actual teens as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Just like how Arthur ended, the series finale of Bluey should have a 10-15 year timeskip with the kids all grown up. This could help tie up some loose ends and give the show a worthy conclusion.

I wanna see a flash forward of Socks; she's almost the Maggie Simpson of the show where she either doesn't speak as much or is still very young, so seeing her do something that shows her intellect and talents would be awesome, maybe she can be a bit of a pacifist to contrast Muffin's loud and aggressive stances
I can potentially see Socks becoming an artist. Throughout all the chaos in “FaceyTalk,” Socks spends the whole chase sequence just quietly drawing on the tablet, completely zoned out while Muffin nearly tears up the house. Also in “Pizza Girls,” she’s content with simply making mud pies while her sister and cousins handle the deliveries. I can imagine those kinds of activities are very calming for her.

I’m not a parent myself but It’s so heartwarming watching the kids grow up! Like it’s beautiful watching them change and develop and mature in a way that you’d help foster. It’s beautiful.
I've had this idea that I'm doubtful will happen, especially for kids programming of Bluey's age range. But I've always thought it could be interesting if Bluey's cast not only aged up with it's audience and actors, but slightly changed in tone as well.
Since kids start to understand broader concepts as they get older, we could see how the family and friend dynamics evolve as time passes. If you want to add a bit of bitter sweetness, you take take inspiration from the creator's experience with his kids growing out of the typical play they used to do. (Or at least show that creativity expressed in a new format.)
Again, I'm not sure about the likelihood of this, but I think it would be a cool concept.
I think it could happen since bingo and Bluey have both already had birthdays in the series! They started off as 4 & 6 and now they’re 5 & 7, I don’t know if they would grow at the same rate as their audience but I definitely see it being plausible for us to get more birthday episodes in the future! Not to mention we’re getting a wedding episode(most likely about frisky and rad) which shows even more progression of time

yes! maybe once the show has been on for years and all the characters are much older, like teens, maybe they can even end up experiencing someone close to them or a friend committing s*icide. it could end with a good lesson that teaches you to speak up and get help if you need it, but it is definitely a more mature concept, so we’ll have to wait a while to see if this happens.
Well, Rusty did eventualy got his flash-forward and it reveals he becomes a top cricket player. So good on you for guessing Rusty will get his moment.
Also, my pitch for a flash-forward scene I would love to see is a scene where a much older Brandy being called "Mom" by an off-camera charecter, presumably her child.
In that case, it would leave the end to interpretation. :D
Honestly, I feel like Muffin would become something that we would never expect her to be because she's such a wild card of a character. I can still see her becoming an activist but in a weird way, I can also see her becoming something like a librarian or a cafe owner.

I like to think that Indy and Rusty would work together with kids. Indy would possibly a daycare teacher out of their home and Rusty would be a therapist for older kids.
It be nice to see Mackenzie be a 'Play Therapist' when he gets older, seeing how playing Astronauts helped him with the small trauma he had a couple years prior (getting mixed up in the play area and scared his mom abandoned him). He could def. use that to help other kids with similar traumas

Muffin: She is so fussy that it wouldn't be strange to me if she ended up being a ballet teacher, because it is a discipline that takes a lot of effort and strength.
Coco: More than a model, I see her more as a gymnast.
Mackenzie: He's so active, he fits me like a firefighter, a policeman, or my favorite, a lifeguard.
Chloe: I have a strong vibe that she might make a good tour guide or biologist.
Honey: To me she could be a great doctor/nurse, or maybe an architect, she's very committed and smart.
I see PomPom being a school principal because she knows how hard it is to be small and wants to help even the smallest breeds succeed!

I love all of your ideas for flashforward sequences and scenes, they're all so interesting. The one about Muffin being an activist/protestor sounds so on point for her, along with Rusty becoming a teacher like Calypso. It would be so sweet to see him pursue the same career path she did, and get to do the same thing that helped him and his classmates out so much when they were all younger and experiencing the world for the first time.
I also love your idea for Jack about him becoming Prime Minister, or something in that regard. I agree that it could show that just because your neurodivergent, or slow or well just "different" doesn't mean you can't do the same things everyone else can even if you don't take the same steps like everyone else!! Another idea I personally have for Jack, is that maybe he could become an Astronomer or someone who works in an area revolving around Space. Inspired by the episode Space, and the fact that we know he has some knowledge already with asteroids and black holes, it would be cool and nice to see him in a role of that field!!
I think for when Bluey grows up she could be an actor or a magician like in Magic episode. Bingo will definitely be a nurse or a doctor of some sort. I see Muffin as a director with shouting and ordering people around. We don’t know much about Socks yet since she’s still young but I feel like she’d be something athletic or a rock star.
I would love to see an episode or scene, where Mia and Captain get married! And bluey is a bridesmaid or the maid of honor. something like that would just be so amazing!

I think Jack should have a flash forward scene like Bingo & Lila where it’s just pictures and no words. Show him graduating high school, going into the military (taking inspiration from Rusty and Rusty’s dad), and being sworn into office (or however Australians change from one office official to another) as PM or some other high ranking government official. Maybe have Rusty with him in these pictures to show how they’re friendship progresses. And I think, since spending a day pretending to be military helped him with his ADHD as a kid, he may go into the military to continue to learn how to be disciplined and organized in his adult life. It would also be a good campaign point. “I struggled with ADHD as a kid and the military helped me, now I want to give back by helping my country become better and here’s how I plan to use my experiences to do that.”
I think that’s actually really good and would be cool

Maybe Rusty first joins the military just to find out it does not fit him like to watch over someone and teach them. It would be a cool lesson that you don't have to stick up with your parents ideals, or becoming your parents and thats okay to change your path and do your what you truly enjoy :)

I think Bluey would be a kids book author and illustrator because it gives her the freedom to be creative and she’s really charismatic so she’d do really well promoting her work on social media and in person. I think Bingo would be an awesome therapist! She’s sensitive and empathetic and even though boundaries aren’t natural to her, she’s learning very young how to set up and keep healthy emotional boundaries and that will help her in the future.
Muffin probably became a theater kid with her energetic personality is fit in her
I can imagine one with Socks where she becomes a cop, going through the training, then graduating from the police academy, and being part of a literal K9 unit

I'd really like the irony of muffin becoming a professional dancer. Maybe she starts ballet lessons after showing interest in the episode charades and she becomes really committed to it. I'd love to see the fiery, defiant, assertive Muffin performing in an elegant show and being a really confident, talented and dainty dancer but still a prima donna diva off stage.
this isn't necessarily a career-related idea but I'd love to see Jack and Rusty become fans of the Bluey universe's equivalent of gundam and the two win a custom gunpla-building contest because of their expertise in the military

I can see muffin in a crowd of cats screaming “Rights for cats!” While holding a sign with a cat sign.
“Flowers may bloom again but the person never had the chance to be young again.” this quote actually hits hard when you talked about bluey and her friends growing up what they wanted to be I could never imagine a video would talk about the past and the future in each episode in bluey run by one quote that said about the age of a person.
I want to see what mackenzie would grow up to be. I think he would become a counselor for a school to help kids that are like him. Idk I just think that would be cool.
Heaps of other children's shows would've done a whole episode of them being grown-up (a.k.a flash forwarding) and it's sometimes a good thing but I find the approach mostly generic. I think that's exactly what makes Bluey stand out from other programs, is that they just give us that small amount of time to see a grown-up version of these characters because life is happening too fast and by the end of the day, all we must do is enjoy our youth while it lasts.

One thing I can see with moffin is like a yoga instructor because a lot of the times when they have a character that's always wanting there way in the future it seems like they end up being more calmer and relaxed
I honestly think it would be so sweet to see and on brand for the show if the show grows with the characters and it goes from a mainly kids show with imaginative playtime to more real world grounded issues as the girls get older, and even as Chili and Bandit do too.

I loved Indy and Rusty’s relationship in mums and dads. I hope they make an episode where it shows a sequence of the two as adults and getting married because they seem like they would be the perfect couple

My favorite Bluey character is definatly Calypso. Just her calm, sweet and gentle personality speaks to me. And I feel like Rusty would be a craft teacher, since he likes fixing and building things.
I was just starting to watch all the episodes in order and when I saw the camping one I freaked out cause I did NOT expect the show to even include a grown up bluey.

This idea of them growing up and what would they be like, might be perfect for the final episode for the show. And to be honest, I do love the sound of that. Because I’m sure it would be emotional, and emotional final episodes are one of the best ones
I hope this doesn't sound weird, but I kinda hope we see Rusty and Jack end up together one day in the future. Jack having not only a best friend, but a PARTNER who is as understanding, caring, and patient as Rusty would be the greatest thing Jack could have in his life.
Obviously, we haven't seen ANY proof that Rusty or Jack are interested in each other or even the same gender, but I think it would be nice to see.
Rusty as a Teacher is a wonderful idea, he'd definitely be great at it. Or even a Scout Master of a camp for children who have autism or such. And Jack as Prime Minister of Australia is something I wouldn't have thought of, but hey, I like it!

Personally, I came up with a theory that Muffin remembers how crazy she was and knows how to handle kids and uses that to become a teacher herself. Though Rusty could fit that role.
My predictions:
Muffin=> a politocian cuz she always wants it her way
Jack=> a teacher
Rusty=> a professional Cricket player
Coco=> a hair stylist who models on the side
Sox=> a seamstress
Bingo=> Whatever Chilly does
Lila=> a talkshow star who's married to Bingo
Bluey=> an archaeologist like her dad
Winton=> a member of the Australian military
The new baby=> an entrepreneur of a multi-million dollar business

If you haven't seen Cricket you are not a million miles off with the idea he is destined to do something outdoors.
He could coach cricket at a highschool/secondary school, he’d be working with kids while still showing his love for cricket
@@kassalsup7195 It's not what is shown though. I wont spoil it in case you haven't seen Cricket yet but whats shown is very much a full-time thing so we know what his destiny is far more clearly than any other character at this point.

Bluey might become an archeologist like her father or a paleontologist, Bingo-pediatrician or veterinarian, Muffin-attorney (I was very similar to Muffin as a kid and my parents were always like, "Eh, she'll probably just grow up to become an attorney), Honey-teacher, Makenzie-therapist, Indy-artist or Marine biologist (IDK she just reminds me of another character from another children's TV show where a character wanted to do either one of those when she grew up)
idk why but I always imagined Muffin becoming a dancer or a professional ballerina, I think based on how much she likes dancing as we see in the episode of charades, and also how in Christmas Swim we see her wearing a leotard and tutu in a picture frame.

I'd love to see a flash forward scene with Socks because she's so young that she doesn't exactly have a set personality just yet and I think it would be interesting what their plans for her in the future are. Does she become an architect? A Scientist? An Astronaut? She's such a blank slate that the possibilities are literally endless.
As of the episode cricket : we know that rusty plays professional cricket.
I disagree with Jack. I think he’ll become an astrologist or something that has to do with space. It seems like he’s incredibly fascinated by space so I think that would be cool to see him go down that path.
Future watcher. Now its a year later, they have made new videos, and for anyone watching this video now, there has been another future glimpse. This glimpse shows Rusty becoming a famous cricket player.
I can see Jack and Rusty growing up and starting a business together, or better yet they have a law firm together or work as private detectives. I would also like to see the terriers grow up to be police officers.

You should make a theory video about why we never see any cats in the Bluey-verse. From what I’ve seen, the only time cats are mentioned is in copycat. Bandit gives the hurt budgie to the vet lady and says, “I think a cat beat this feller up” But we never see any cats! If you do choose to make a theory about this, I can’t wait to see what you can make out of this weird thing! (Btw, I love your theory videos, I’m addicted!!!)

I like the idea of Rusty becoming a teacher or someone who works with young children and maybe instead of taking over Calypso’s school he works under her until she can’t work anymore. This is based on the director of my son’s preschool who is over seventy and plans on working there until she can’t work anymore and the preschool is Montessori style.

Children at this age can be anything when they get older, and a single moment of a random day can change our lives forever. I have not seen the show but from what you and others have said about these characters, I hazard the following guesses.
Muffin: I think she could actually be a teacher, author, reporter, or celebrity. Activist? Not that there haven't been some great ones in the past, but that sounds a little 'below bar' to me. She seems to have a personality that resonates with having authority, not necessarily speaking out against authority. I could see her being part of a high-school student senate, maybe.
Rusty: Professional athlete, engineer, cinematographer, teacher, I could see any of these. One thing I'd be pretty sure about is that he'd make a great dad or uncle.
Jack: Depends on what his primary subject interests are as he matures. A lot of high-functioning neuro-divergent kids grow up to be engineers or scientists. If he becomes interested in law, maybe PM, but I'd sooner see Muffin doing that.
Coco: She likes to win, right? When she doesn't get to win right away, she tries to change the rules. I could only see her being a supermodel if she is very successful at it, unless something in her attitude changes. Otherwise, she'll probably end up in a position where she writes her own rules, possibly doing fashion design or some other art. If her attitude changes to the point where she can not only accept defeat with maturity but also learn to never give up, then she's much more likely to be a celebrity, engineer, or entrepreneur.
Honestly, I hope that they make a character LGBTQIA+ whether it being a married couple or an outspoken teen, I just want them to show that everyone has different preferences

Rusty actually grows up to be a professional cricket player in the part B of Bluey season 3
Not just a regular one either. The outfit is the Australian Test Cricket team outfit and the ground is the Gabba near where the series is set in Brisbane. To put it in context about 1 in 100000 people playing the game reach that level. So he's playing elite level sport.

My headcanons are that Bluey will end up with Jean-Luc, Bingo will end up growing old with Lila, and - thanks to you - Rusty and Jack marrying.
I think that the show characters should age by the year. That way, the characters grow as their audience does. And they might also make a separate show for children, but I like the growing idea.
Maybe, there could be a flash forward scene, where Bluey is reading a fashion magazine, and Coco is on the cover of it.

I believe that Bingo will become a vet as an adult , we have seen in many episodes that she has an interest in animals , especially bugs.
Oh and guys don’t forget about the new cricket episode where rusty becomes the greatest cricket star in australia!

The ending of bluey should be Bluey being visited by Bingo, both with kids and they kneel down and tell them how much they loved their Mom and dad and the memories they made together. Credits.
I could see Bluey getting into politics, Bingo into medical like a doctor or nurse, Rusty and Jack would go into the military together, Snickers would become a news reporter, Chloe would become an oceanographer, Indy would get into liberal arts, Lucky would play professional sports, Mackenzie I could see being a farmer, and Honey becoming a teacher.
I think Bluey would be an actress, Bingo would probably be a nurse and Lila would be a doctor or something, I definitely agree on the whole Muffin activist thing, Socks will probably be a athlete or do cricket with Rusty or football with lucky.
I hope we get more about Winton‘s dad and why he got a divorce
And hopefully see Winton‘s mum one day
for their jobs, i could see:
rusty: as a teacher or some sort of pediactric therapist
coco: definitely out in the open, as perhaps a model or a olympic gymnast
bingo: i think she would volunteer at a daycare while she gets her nursing degree, then become a full time nurse, can't really change my mind
muffin: lawyer, activist, or if you want to get really obscure, an auctioneer
winnie: she would definitely be an independent, self-made woman who owns and runs a successful bakery
mackenzie: something technical, like a mechanic (or thinking about his like of space) a nasa engineer. or maybe he would get a large plot of land on new zealand and live on a farm
snickers + winton: both would become best friends forever and highschool and become firefighters
honey: she's very smart and caring, maybe an accountant or a therapist
bluey: honestly, i can't really see her as much, maybe a pilot or flight attendant, but i see her most as a stay-at-home mom
