I got to work as crew for this show once, its so cool. I wish I could do sit-ins with pit orchestras more often, I love watching pit orchestras work but I don't play any instruments so its always a little awkward asking, but they are such lovely people
That’s amazing. I really admire anyone who is able to learn and execute a show that complex. I also wonder if all the other instrumentalists have it “easy” by comparison.
So interesting . 6 times ?? You must have it memorized by now . LOL Thanks Rick. Have a great show !! Really have learned soooooo much from your channel.

wicked indeed!
Awesome set up Rick 👍
That rig looks amazing!
Hell of a rig Maestro! Have fun! And kudos to the technician who had to set up all those toys 🙏🏻🙌🏻
The performer (in this case, me) sets it up as each performer uses a slightly different setup.

None of the books are easy. It's a complicated show with lots of doubling and tricky passages.
Very rewarding to perform.
That’s crazy! ❤❤❤
Amazing!! Love it!

Yes, that show put my kids through college!
What brand of cough drops do you use? I see some on that tray with the mallets, I don't see a brand name, however.
Im curious, whats the fastest switch between toys or mallets you have in the show?
The tune One Short Day
Are you currently subbing in at NYC or is it for a tour?
Also I'd love to see your process for making dual sided mallets!
It's for the tour.
Mike Balter made me the mallets. I just rewrap them from time to time.
Zildjian Earth Plate circa 78/79, maybe?
