Nice tie. Oatman is by far my favorite and in my opinion, the most under appreciated fly designer. I think you hit it on the head why folks don't fish feather wings or bucktails any longer, because the angler needs to give them their action to be effective. Anglers have gotten used to chuck and strip with modern streamers. That simp!y won't be effective with these patterns.
Bravo Sir!! I love tying......have loved it since early teen-hood. I really enjoy your thorough explanation and technique. Years ago I learned to love streamers too, for trout and others. One of my favorites is the black nose dace bucktail. Thanks for your great vids!!
thanks Al i really like this streamer.. i use it on oneida for walleye .. i add plastic eyes on the head and glue it with loon clear uv use a light to dry it then put a hard glue so its not sticky..
