I love these recordings! I wish the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company had done complete recordings of all the operas when they had the chance instead of only a few, but these are the next best thing.
Thank you sir. I've been looking for good recordings of some of GS operas that D'oyly Carte Company didn't leave their full recordings of with dialogues. These BBC recordings you kindly uploaded are rather good in terms of performance and also recording quality. Utopia Ltd. turned out to be my favorite GS opera. Thank you again sir.
Dear Chris, “Modified Rapture” to be sure. Thanks a million for the inestimable pleasure you gave me in your BBC radio postings. I’d never heard these before. Sir Arthur and Sir William are smiling down at you for your efforts. Please post more G&S, so needed now more than ever. “We leave you with feelings of pleasure “
@@lekmirn.hintern8132 : Pretty awful, I could not stomach one run through. I keep thinking I'll find the cut song for Princess Zara in Act 2 but I suppose it's truly lost for all time.
This is an excellent performance; what a treat. Thank you!
Mr. Goddard,-- Good morning to ya sir!! I appreciate having thia to play this cold, wet Saturday morning at home.
