FAQ's
Question 1: Does this mine have rubies? No. No it doesn't. It is named after the community of Rubie, Arkansas, just north of Mt. Ida.
Question 2: When does it open? Earliest will be December, but in all honesty it'll probably be early 2025.
Question 3: Can I drive my car there? Yes. The road back to the mine is easier than going to Avatar or Fisher Mountain mines. A Toyota Camry can make it...a friend drove one to the parking lot just fine.
Question 4: How much does it cost? They are still ironing out the details, and will have an update posted on Mark's page soon.
Hey guys, on Wednesday, September 25th I had the pleasure of visiting the Rubie Mine for my very first time. This mine hasn't opened to the public yet, but will be very soon (see above FAQ). I had a GREAT time here. First impressions: If the I Me Mine and Pine Ridge Crystals had a baby, that would be the Rubie Mine. It has the best of both worlds. I have high expectations for this location...lots of phantoms, faden quartz, adularia, so many DT's...beautiful, beautiful material here.

I went last week for a follow up visit, and will have another update for the mine in about two weeks. I was able to pull a good amount out on that trip too! There’s a lot of great pieces coming out of there!
