I know you say it's a compromise between speed and quality and that the songs aren't going to be 100% accurate, but; to my ears, it seems to be right on track from beginning to end. Of course; I'm no pro at determining when a piece of music is ''off-key''. You did awesome here.
I stumbled on your video quite by accident because it appeared as a "suggestion", you~tube probably thought I'd enjoy this since I was viewing similar videos where somebody used the Nintendo/Sega 2-bit to make ''midi'' songs. You did a superb job with this van Halen song. If you haven't done it yet, try Jumping Jack Flash.

Well, the Sega Genesis DID use a chip based off a synth
