To all the people who's asking about the "podmic.txt" (which is required as an "include" #2 on config tab) as mentioned in the video; you have to create it and no it doesn't have to be named podmic (I named the text file that because my microphone is called podmic). Anyway to create one, press new on the top left (icon = blankpaper with shine on top right), save that, then name it whatever you want. Now for your include (#2 on config tab) you just pick whatever text file you made. That is all, I created this comment so I can just redirect everyone asking for "I do not have the podmic, what would I do now". Please before asking questions; watch the video first because the answer for you questions may already be there. man this is perfect. i used the vst pluging + nvidia rtx voice, I didn't think it would work but it's a lot of noise supression without any quality loss in fact it sounds better.
wow, thanks is really working, I tested in discord with integrated noise suppressor before using your method, and then without but with your method and is working in 99% of cases when there is noise but my voice.
If it doesn't end up working for some of you after following again all the steps, try going in the Configurator, ticking "Troubleshooting Options", click on your mic and select "Install as SFX/EFX (experimental)" and then install, this fixed all my problems.
If it doesnt work, make sure the actual 'librnnoise_vst.dll' file folder is inside your Program Files on your C: drive. It will ask for admin privilages.
Sadly up to this point in time; I am still experimenting.. I ended up with just 2 plugins, rnnoise then voxengo marvel geq then brighter and bassy preset. That's about it :D
I just trie this and it works great however theres some notable inconsistencies tho. I'm using the Samson Q2U Mic, and it cuts off all the background sound very well but I notice specific numbers or phrases or even letter it has this slight robotic sound and it only gives that effect when the suppressor picks up those phrases/letters/numbers. Like 1 sounds perfectly fine, 2 very slight hardly noticeable, 3 is perfect but when you say 4 it has a robotic effect at the end of it. Is that suppose to be normal?

I was having trouble, I did everything including the fix with de reinstallation wit SFX/EFX but I only got choppy voice, I changed the mic Sound configuration on Windows to 44100Hz and got it working just fine

you first have to copy your file to desktop then drag it back to the vstplugins directory, alternatively you can just place the librnoise/rnnoise .vst to a folder on your pc it would still work the same :D
how can i like control the noise supression and make it weaker cus if i have my voice on automatic it sometimes cuts me off while im still talking but if i dont have the plugin u can hear static through my mic

Your mic might be grounded or the cable might be touching something bassy, it could also be just a mic problem. Normally we consider static, hiss, fan, echo as noises that can be removed by denoiser’s or noise suppression. You can give Steelseries gg sonar a try though.
yo is this applicable for discord, valo, games in general? im using a gaming headset, would it work in it? id like to know how to revert it incase something bad happens, does it keep the crisp quality without the weird low quality thing that you hear when the realtek/windows 10 noise supression is turned on, cuz when i turn it off my voice is so crisp only problem is the buzzing, thanks bro
It is applicable anywhere! Remove the noise suppression from realtek since this is a replacement for it! Much more crisp qual + better noise suppression:)
Is there a lighter version of the plugin? When I did this it doesn't pick up tue "F" and "S" sounds properly when it's in the middle of sentences 😭😭 it works tho but I'm a voice over artist I can't go on with this
Sadly there is no lighter version of the plugin (as I know) ~ & the plugin would still go with "The better the mic the better the separation would be" Or adapting with how you talk.

The Github page says there's a minimalistic GUI so was wondering if there was a way to install to my PC so it's just always active on my mic E.g: As a driver that my mic input goes through (like an A-B V-cable) so I can just set the noise suppress device as my default recording device TLDR: Not a big fan of solutions that require yet another program. And further more, needs to be turned on every time to "fix" the problem. Setting as default device is cleaner n doesnt need to startup everytime
@@RudyTheNinja Then this video is the thing you're looking for. EQapo is a one time setup. You install EQapo, you add the vst [noise suppresion]. You save the config file and you never have to worry about it (unless you reformat or a weird windows update glitched all your things.)

So I am trying to use this for my Fifine Microphone to remove my keyboard noise while playing games. The FIFINE 683 shows up as a headset and when I try to install to it, it doesn't work. I followed a handful of troubleshooting steps and it doesn't seem to want to play nicely with a USB microphone. Do you know of any other troubleshooting steps I can take, other than disabling hardware Excelleration and ensuring enhancements are on? I cannot get it to show up as a capture device and I get the warning that it didn't install when I load the configurator

Hey! eqapo is a program that allows you to inject vst (let's just say filters of whatever kind) and in this specific video; we used it to install rnnoise (which is a vst; and a noise suppressor). I'm sorry but this is as simple as it gets, until microsoft add a native vst adder on windows itself. Though if you would just want a noise suppressor on your stream then just use rnnoise (noise suppressor) plugin on your mic on obs. :)

Hi, yes everytimeyou open the configurator it will show you that. Unless you were able to install the apo to all your device (both playback and recording [which i do not recommend]. Everytime you start up the pc the suppressor should work with no additional fiddling required.
Hey, it works on every other app but discord, although my mic input is selectable at discord it won't hear any voice. So I can select it but discord does not hear it. I would be grateful if anyone can help
Hey! Maybe since you are already using rnnoise it overlaps with discord noise suppressor-having you end up with nothing but silence. I recommend changing discord's audio setting noise suppressor to none or disabled.
yooo ive just came across a problem, please help. so when installing the vst and all of that my noise on videos are reduced a ton. is there a way to use the rnnoise while being able to listen to noise?
If you watch the vid a little more carefully, I mentioned that you can create it with the "new" button on top left of the window. It doesn't have to be called podmic, call it whatever you want. Then that's where you'll put the noise suppression effect.
Then there might be something wrong with the settings of ur seiren.. Though this should work.. If you do audio recordings I rather record with the noise then remove it in post (while adding the other effects) I have a video for removing noise after recording :)

@@UnfilteredBits Hi i figured it out it's because of the playback device i used in the configurator, I used my headset as my playback device, but if I dont use it, the equalizer wont work, it's like it suppresses my headset too :(

@@UnfilteredBits I cannot quite remember the name but you have different file names for installing. They now have a stereo.dll and a mono.dll. You only had 1.dll file if my mind serves me right.
Sadly there is no way around this than having multiple different mixers or inputs. Once you add the noise suppression to an input (mixer) it is then also applied to everything that runs through in there.

Hi, I'm having issues with having an audio delay when using Equalizer APO. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I have no idea what to configure to get it fixed. I've been using Equalizer APO for almost a year now and my audio has always been like that (delayed) when using it. I couldn't do anything about it because I've been searching everywhere and I just couldn't find a fix for it. Perhaps you can help me out? Thanks a lot!
Audio delay? hmm, try installing the apo driver on the start up of configurator to your mic and use experimental, choose install as SFX/EFX (exp) and add allow silent buffer modification. Hit me up on discord Alen#9760 and tell me what that did for you :)

@@sss-si5tl Unfortunately, it didn't. But I did change some settings though and that's what worked for me. It was basically trial and error and was quite a pain in the neck. 😅 But it's working fine now so it's worth it.
I found a really annoying bug just today. When I turn on rnnoise vst plug-in, my headphone or speaker gets affected pretty badly, they run from low to high to high to low which doesn't really sound pleasant. I tried to remove the plug-in and apply it again, didn't work. I redownloaded the file, didn't work either. Anyone having the same problem?
on the device on the top right of EQapo, select your main microphone on the capture device which is the mic that you want to be affected by the added effect.

Sadly you cannot control the power of noise suppression. What I used to do was increase amp of mic add eq, add noise suppression then eq again.

Once done, its basically there. No need to have teh EQAPO software on all the time (even after restarts :D)
Everytime I install the APO it says I need to reboot. Then it is absolutely nowhere to be found.

You always get the "it didn't install" when you load the configurator. Try it out first adding effects and checking :D

Hi, yes everytimeyou open the configurator it will show you that. Unless you were able to install the apo to all your device (both playback and recording [which i do not recommend]. Everytime you start up the pc the suppressor should work with no additional fiddling required.

Hey, it works on every other app but discord, although my mic input is selectable at discord it won't hear any voice. So I can select it but discord does not hear it. I would be grateful if anyone can help
Hey! Maybe since you are already using rnnoise it overlaps with discord noise suppressor-having you end up with nothing but silence. I recommend changing discord's audio setting noise suppressor to none or disabled.

Have you tried recording with anything first other than the geforce recorder? Test it on the "test input" on volume mixer :D see if it works there
yooo ive just came across a problem, please help. so when installing the vst and all of that my noise on videos are reduced a ton. is there a way to use the rnnoise while being able to listen to noise?

If you watch the vid a little more carefully, I mentioned that you can create it with the "new" button on top left of the window. It doesn't have to be called podmic, call it whatever you want. Then that's where you'll put the noise suppression effect.
is this good for song recording? cause my seiren mini picks up so much noise by simply touching my headphone lightly
Then there might be something wrong with the settings of ur seiren.. Though this should work.. If you do audio recordings I rather record with the noise then remove it in post (while adding the other effects) I have a video for removing noise after recording :)

@@UnfilteredBits Hi i figured it out it's because of the playback device i used in the configurator, I used my headset as my playback device, but if I dont use it, the equalizer wont work, it's like it suppresses my headset too :(
Hi, great tutorial btw, but for some reason it sounds really good on most apps that use the mic, but on discord it cuts out and the audio quality in general is pretty bad? Any ideas?
turn off discord's noise reduction (since it is being applied twice on the mic) :))

@@veryhotpizza you have 2 types of discord noise cancelation. Be sure to turn both off.

@@UnfilteredBits I cannot quite remember the name but you have different file names for installing. They now have a stereo.dll and a mono.dll. You only had 1.dll file if my mind serves me right.

Sadly there is no way around this than having multiple different mixers or inputs. Once you add the noise suppression to an input (mixer) it is then also applied to everything that runs through in there.

Hi, I'm having issues with having an audio delay when using Equalizer APO. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I have no idea what to configure to get it fixed. I've been using Equalizer APO for almost a year now and my audio has always been like that (delayed) when using it. I couldn't do anything about it because I've been searching everywhere and I just couldn't find a fix for it. Perhaps you can help me out? Thanks a lot!
Audio delay? hmm, try installing the apo driver on the start up of configurator to your mic and use experimental, choose install as SFX/EFX (exp) and add allow silent buffer modification. Hit me up on discord Alen#9760 and tell me what that did for you :)

@@sss-si5tl Unfortunately, it didn't. But I did change some settings though and that's what worked for me. It was basically trial and error and was quite a pain in the neck. 😅 But it's working fine now so it's worth it.

I found a really annoying bug just today. When I turn on rnnoise vst plug-in, my headphone or speaker gets affected pretty badly, they run from low to high to high to low which doesn't really sound pleasant. I tried to remove the plug-in and apply it again, didn't work. I redownloaded the file, didn't work either. Anyone having the same problem?
on the device on the top right of EQapo, select your main microphone on the capture device which is the mic that you want to be affected by the added effect.

Hi, EqualizerAPO is showing a CPU usage of 29% in the estimated properties part. Is there anything I can do to reduce that?
