It's probably mosquitoes/or blood sucking flies. You see the same sort of behavior from caribou in Alaska during the summer: they seek water to relieve themselves of bugs.
I am a former Alaskan, and I want to know, what kind of parents let their children run along an embankment with a moose anywhere within that distance?!?
It's a combination of a hot day and bugs! The lake water feels good, it soothes some of the irritation of the bug bites, and is helping to drive, at least some, of the bugs off. As for the parents of the kids, they seem to be obvious to the potential danger posed by a wild animal. 😮
@@elusiveDEVIANT They are too close and the poor moose is probably not "playing" and might have brain worms. This is how they act and is a terrible fate. You get too close and one accidental swipe from the moose can kill you. It's called being responsible. So, please "shut up".
all thats missing is splish splash i was taking a bath in the background BUT those people should of backed up away from it that a wild animal no was to predict its behavior
It's probably because he is pestered by insects and the heat. The fact that there are people around doesn't make it any better. Moose tend to get stressed out and agitated when they are cornered by people. Moose also likes to get drunk. They feast on over-ripe apples and other fruit, and often engage in silly erratic behaviour when intoxicated. this looks like in the middle of the summer though, so there wouldn't be that much ripe fruit as in the fall.
To all those who think this is a mad moose ether buy temperament of bugs... Check out videos here on RUclips of young moose playing in back yard pools or sprinklers. They do the exact same thing ...!!!. Also he show none of the typical aggressive signs. Ears are not pinned back/ Hair on neck not standing up. Not showing the whites of his eyes bulging out. Possible he was just torn between cooling off and the awkwardness of do so in front of so many people...

Having himself a splashing ball 😂😂😂 it's cute though
Bullwinkle having fun so cute ❤

Moo-rons
I live in South Dakota, the same 'parents' that let their children pet a Bull Elk or take a selfie with Bison...
Dog was the only one with sense.😅
I wonder if he was trying to get rid of ticks or something.
He was acting like fire ants got all over his legs. I remember when we didn't have fire ants.

Рада видеть тебя, Лосик 👏👏👏❤✌!
Again the dog is smarter than most humans....
By all means, kids, get closer. It's only a 1000 lbs. of muscle, hooves and raging hormones. What could possibly go wrong? -- meow.
He’ll rip your lungs out, Jim.
But his hair was perfect 😉
A Wild animal ! !
Even if it is playing it is still dangerous. The only one who had the right reaction was the dog. The other people were way too close
Oh shut up, you people see danger everywhere. Please, don't go outside. You'll just be an annoyance.

@@DesantisgogobootsWhile I agree the people are too close, this moose isn’t showing any classic signs of brain worm.
If you’ll notice the ones purposely getting too close are teenagers and they live forever and ever and never get hurt 😉
Due to the foreshortening distortion caused by the telephoto lens the moose appears much closer to the kids than it actually is.
Young and still being playful. Good that the humans weren't selfish.
Way to close to the Moose. They are very temperamental. And HUGE.
'Too' vs. 'to' strikes again 😑
The dog is not impressed 😂
Looks like he had a problem with an ear or trying to shake of a problem in his head ?
He shedding itchy velvet off his horns
It might be brain worms. It's a horrible fate for the moose.
@@lj604No classic signs of brain worm.
What a guy !!!
Life is great!
Moose zoomies.

It's a crayfish swarm attack everybody get out of the water I'll sacrifice myself. Run kiddies run. Ouch ouch ouch killer crayfish.
Almost seemed like he is trying to splash ticks out of his ears or something ?
Bugs people bugs. Just bugs. Nothing else.
That dog did had some proper chill
He looks like he’s foaming at the mouth. Maybe he’s not healthy. Much too close regardless.
That’s just water runoff from splashing around.
I don't think he is well
Maybe brain worms.:(
Maybe? 😥 💔
Sure, hope not... It's such a horrible way to go...

Где родители этих детей?? Они идиоты? Это же очень опасно!!

It had to cool off.
Moose Plays
Yeah, it's cute, now get in the dang car. People need wildlife literacy.
mad cow? or mad moose
It might be brain worms.:(
He's probably trying to get by all the stupid people who are in his way. The stomping isn't play..it's a warning. 😖
Возможно он болен, бешенство или насекомые паразиты в ушах, может напасть и убить...
Мужики, матрасик и коктейль 😅
