Good evening Rachel! ❤ I used to feel ‘guilty’ because I often use scrapbook paper in my journals. I mix with digitals, old book pages, dyed papers, etc. Purist, I ain’t. 😊 We make what we like, how we want to make it, or it isn’t fun. And that is what makes every journal unique. There are no rules … at least the journal crafting police haven’t come round to confiscate my glues and papers yet. 😆 I always enjoy watching you put lovely things together.
I agree, Rachel - each to his own when defining what it means to create a junk journal. I always experience "Imposter's Syndrome" at the beginning of Junk Journal January and Junk Journal July because my creative style doesn't exactly fit. I enjoy responding to the prompts, though, so I keep on going and try not to worry about what others think. Thanks for another fun video! ⭐⭐⭐
I love Easter things too! The bunnies are great fun to work with and all the pretty spring colors. Everything you did today came out so well. Thanks so much and hope you're having a good time. (also thank you for videoing ahead so we don't have to go without!! 🙂) ❤
I agree with you, each person should do what they like. Besides, junk journaling has come a long way since the very first one ever made. I love your videos because you use the best of both worlds, old and new. Just continue to do you! Thanks for sharing!
This is one of my absolute favorite days of yours. Tuesday is so much fun and so neat to watch all the beautiful ephemera you make 😊 Also Easter ephemera is so beautiful its a holiday that the ephemera speaks for itself and so elegant. ❤
Rachel, hope you are well, Love creating things with you, its a lot of fun and using vintage digitals is my favorite, I was never crazy about junk journal, but still make some.
I am luck to get mailers magazines from places for free that I use as glue pages. Sometime there is an imagine I can cut from them first. I’m a nurse, which pays the bills and companies send me updates or continue education magazines. I want to be a full time crafter. Wish me luck in the future. 😅
I also do a mix in my journals. I like the digital papers that fit a theme I am working on, and then everything else can be made or found. I put some hand dyed papers in there too so I feel like the mix is still leaning more "junk journal" than not. Interesting discussion about that. Also, I have been watching you for a couple of years now, and I can tell you really love Easter. Such pretty ephemera. Thank you for all your great content.
I love that orange and pink mixed media type tag. It’s gorgeous. I kept yelling put that bird on tag on it( ur first tag), but u didn’t hear me lol. I do love how u did it so all is good❤
I agree with all you have said about the Junk Journal name, and the price of authentic ephemera. I just use “ Eco friendly Journal / Notebook “ and put a mix of everything I like in them.
I think the definition of junk is interpretive when it comes to art. To you, old books may be junk, to another junk may only be recently used items that can be recycled. It’s all good. What I don’t understand is one who assumes their idea is more appropriate than another’s, when it’s only a first world complaint. There are much more important things to be concerned with nowadays. Life is so much more fun without nit-picking. I’m glad you stated your response, and couldn’t agree with you more. Your work is beautiful.
Organization is not my forte either. I did however did organize mt lace strips the other night onto cards like Tracy did so I know what I have. I’m trying abit here and there. Lol
Rachel, do you have any tips on scanning old embroidered pieces. I can’t seem to get a clear image due to wrinkling and I can’t find anything helpful on the internet. Hope you’re enjoying your holiday ❤.

I use some starch when ironing them. They need to be ironed super well. Thank you so much!
@@roxycreations679 thank you….i’ll try that.
Another fun video. I love your style. Just wondering…. If we don’t call it junk journaling now, what do we call it?
Thank you 🤩
We do not live our lives as defined by others. Or imho we should not.
Well said!
