I did the same task in a small shop for a while and the monotony of the job (any assembly line job or in short work for money in general) is awful and soul sucking. Under the current economic system, work is not in most cases an act you gain joy from but rather a way to survive.

Did you use your god given intelligence and apply yourself in education to make the jump from labor to administration or a professional occupation? Not all people are suitable to take "thinking" jobs and sustain themselves very well over long periods of time contributing to the welfare of the company longevity and subsequently job security. My advice to you is, next time you apply for a job make sure the job states clearly, " provides a fun time for all". That's why its called work no matter how you cut it.
I did this for years saved my money got ahead. Those were happy days, me and one with the machines.
