I dated this girl who had a 19 year old son. Told him millions of times to slow and stop racing. Then he wrecked. Some people just don’t get it and need to destroy their lives before they can figure it out.
@@Chiefqueef- same, my older cousin growing up had a boyfriend who drove his sports car really fast (rich parents). He was 18 and he ended up crashing and killing himself and putting his best friend in the front seat in a coma for 4 years. I don’t get the racing scene at all
These constant pods leading up to the draft have been amazing, as always wonderful insight John & the end-of-week wrap-up joint pod with Colin have to be without a doubt my favorites.
I’m so tired of people making excuses for guys. He raced at deadly speeds and then walked away without even checking to see if anyone is injured. Idc how old you are, that’s pathetic
Even at 16... I knew not to walk away from an accident. smh he left all those people needing his insurance information hanging. So, not one of those 4 guys could have made a responsible decision to stay?
My guess is he probably was under the influence so by running and not getting caught until his plates were id'ed it keeps him from a DUI charge since he sobered. He probably thought the legal severity of abandoning a crash scene was gonna be less than a DUI.
It shows you WHO HE REALLY IS!!! A REAL compassionate person would have wasted no time running to see who was ok. People could have been injured to the point that a well able person could have saved them. He didn't know who was alive or dead and walked away!!!! Criminal. That's not a MISTAKE. THATS CALLOUS AND EVIL AF!!!!!
I have to say, even if a lot of people will pop a vein in their forehead reading it, if things stand as they are right now: racing on a highway, multiple car crash, "just" minor injuries, left the scene, as of right now not a single mention of alcohol, then, even if that sounds like a lot, he will get out of this with a slap in the wrist compared to the massive disaster he could have caused. That's simply the way this stuff goes. If they stop you driving in a drunken stupor so severe you can't even say your name, but you didn't cause any accident and just got caught on a routine stop, you get basically nothing. You hit something or someone in that state and then you're in huge troubles. And again, as things stand right now, Rice is on the very low end of bad outcomes for what he did.
Not the most important element here obviously but from a team construct perspective this is a terrible break for KC….they need to commit major resources to the WR spot now.
Hey, I was young and stupid too. That's one issue. He didn't stop and see if anyone was hurt. Man! C'mon dude. I love my Chiefs, but I hope he gets punishment enough to change him.
I wonder if Rice is considered talented enough to get a 2nd chance with the Chiefs, or if they will dump him. He seems to be on the border for this. Lots of potential, but has only shown a bit of it. 79-938-7 is borderline replaceable.
I think he will get a chance. He has 3 years left on his rookie contract and he’s cheap. And it’s a car crash, which doesn’t have the stigma of domestic violence. So I think he will be back
Rice is screwed. Multiple felonies, still on the lamb, the police consider him a fugitive. He's gonna serve some time in prison, the Chiefs probably will release him. He's a decent player, but he's not irreplaceable.
1) he could’ve killed someone, just because no one died doesn’t mean he isn’t guilty of being a 🤡 2) NFL better suspend him 1 season minimum 3) he better serve 6 months in jail minimum 4) both were his cars, they ran because they prob had weapons or drugs 5) Chiefs better cut him 6) they better fine him
As a Chiefs fan, this is extremely disappointing. Disappointing that a guy you thought highly of is this irresponsible and immature (to put it nicely). And frankly he was extremely lucky this didn't have much worse consequences because it easily could have. And based on the way they were driving and the fact it was a busy highway, odds are it probably should have been much worse. But I don't think they should go easier on him just because the outcome wasn't as bad as it could have been. People easily could have died or suffered life changing injuries. I would suspend him at LEAST half the season, possibly a full season. If anything, I may revise that upwards as more information comes out. But then, I would have suspended Desean Watson a full season for EACH woman he sexually assaulted (because that's exactly what it was so let's stop downplaying that too) so clearly I'm less lenient than the NFL. In my opinion, the NFL barely punished him more than they would have if it was only a few incidents instead of so many it was difficult to keep count.
I haven’t even watched the video but I can’t wait to hear on how he’s just a young kid coming off of Super Bowl, and simply made a bad decision lol same old excuses
the part about people not knowing how to drive is so important. If you get a car like these, supercars, hypercars, etc. you NEED to know how to actually drive. None of these dudes have any idea how to properly drive a car with 800+hp, the torque and power they have, how to handle a car that's spinning/losing control, how to make sure your car doesn't spin, etc. If you're gunna get a car like this you really should spend some time learning how to properly handle it.
Henry Ruggs from my Alabama Crimson Tide had a fast car too. He killed a woman and he’s currently and rightly in prison. Is what Rice did as bad? He didn’t kill somebody thank God so that answer is no. But now the NFL must make a decision.
