I hope Elon launches a new smartphone anyway. Just remember that Apple won't just lose massive market share to a Tesla phone, which by the way has huge "brand cudos" with technology customers, but Apple will potentially lose their entire eco-system which they rely on to monetise.
Just think of the eco-system Elon can build that will leave Apple in the dust. Remember also that Elon can easily launch Tesla Tablets as well as smartphones.
He has Starlink which can replace the internet and Google search. Starlink performs in real time. So Google can be seriously damaged by that or they can partner with Twitter/Starlink/Tesla. Google and Apple need Twitter to extend their advertising reach.
Just think of the Tesla Smartphone/Starlink packages Elon can bundle up and market to customers. If you take just one market sector, like the marine industry, Starlink is growing hugely popular amongst recreational and commercial boaters, because they can access Starlink better than Google out at sea. And, that's just one market sector. Every boater will buy a Tesla smartphone, a Tesla tablet for navigation and on-board monitoring of equipment and a Starlink communications package. Bingo.
A Tesla smartphone will not only take significant business from Apple smartphone sales, but it will also take significant business from Apple's app eco-system and cross marketing opportunities.
Then of course Elon founded PayPal, so it won't be difficult for him to put a payment platform together and rewarding customers to use that platform for Tesla purchases, Twitter in-app purchases, Tesla smartphone and tablet purchases (remember smartphone purchases and phone packages are a residual income and good for cash flow as the payments flow through his payment platform) and to monetise videos and make good payments to video content providers. Elon says he can pay video content providers 10% more than You Tube.
Twitter under Elon is a marketers wet dream. So many ways to monetise the new Twitter 2.0 eco system. And the good part is that Elon already has the core competencies in place across Tesla, Starlink, Payment Systems, Boring Company and SpaceX to pull it off.
Twitter will definitely be a trillion dollar company.
It can be done inside 3-5 years. I doubt if he will use Android, but that is open source and available immediately. I think he will develop his own operating system and build in native connections to Starlink. It will be open source. Don't underestimate the quality and quantity of the software engineers he has. This is a guy who has built operating systems to fly rockets to Mars. A phone operating system is real simple.
You can see images of the Tesla Pi phone online already. It's pretty sexy. A Tesla tablet will follow soon afterwards. All his devices will come pre-loaded with Starlink, Twitter 2.0, his new PayPal equivalent and new video app (he will pay content creators 10% more than You Tube and their content won't be censored). Since 65-70% of this exists already, the other 30% can follow soon.
The cross marketing opportunities are endless. For example he could run a promotion that if you buy a Tesla phone, then you get you blue check at Twitter free, because the verification that you are not a bot is done at the smartphone purchase stage and Twitter 2.0 is preloaded. Bingo. You can also activate your Starlink package at the same time.
Apple has lost its way. They have not innovated in over a decade. It's just the same old crap and iOS doesn't play nicely with anyone else.

I remember starting going to restaurants after being vaccinated, it was like being privileged. Suddenly you get the best seat and treatment in the house. Why would anyone bet against Twitter? Tesla spent almost zero ad dollars. That means their customer acquisition cost was basically zero.
Masks are “useless”? Wdym do they prevent 0.000% of transmission? Please quantify what you mean by useless.
A proper fitting legitimate mask does in fact work if worn properly and ALL THE TIME (who is going to do that?). You also need to replace them after each use.
N95 is better but like you said who's going to wear it all the time. With every breath you take, every move you make, you are inhaling tens of thousands of microorganisms which will not affect healthy people, but can have an effect on those with respiratory illnesses
@@leeallen3202 There is no perfect solution. The most compelling argument I could make for an N95 is to wear one if you yourself are sick as to not affect others (nursing home, cancer ward, etc.)

The $8 blue checkmark does not deliver sufficient value to consumers. It's really worth $1 and will likely not make up for lost revenue. Twitter needs to appeal to conservative and moderate businesses such as: firearms, preppers, jeep, martial arts/mma organizations, hunting and fishing, security/law enforcement equipment, home safety products, beer, wine & liquor producers etc and the liberal businesses will come back once they realize that life continues without them.
Twitter currently has 450 million monthly active users, out of which around 200 million users are monetizeable i.e blue checkmarks.
If given that this data is aprroximately correct, only 10% of its blue checkmark users is required to pay the 8$ per month to recover 90% of the lost revenue….which is highly likely to occur because Twitter seems to be very busy and active even though people are saying they are leaving the platform.

@@AndyCastillo yeah you are right, in terms of value, it is overvalued. But demand outweighs value in a market like social media where some people just want to be distinguished from the rest. Like, for example, some people clearly do not care about the value blue tick brings, they simply want it as a status symbol amongst normal users.
