I like the idea of having crafts to go kits. Would be great for trips to the park with the kids. They play you craft. I would love to find a box like the one that was from grandma, love it
I love your appreciation for the things that have been handed down to you. They do make fabulous art supply boxes as well as decor. The sewing box is Stunning. It's workmanship is so accurately done the beauty to me is in it's superior design. I love wood and woodwork it is an excellent example. ,♥️♥️♥️
Yes, it makes more sense to use things you have at hand rather than buy more clutter to bring in your homes. We need to be open minded and creative when we organize.
I always travel with knitting or crochet projects which I carry in canvas tote bags (preferably the one that zips closed). Extra crochet hooks, scissors, yarn needles, etc. are in a zippered pencil case.
Lots of great ideas! My Dollarama here in Nova Scotia has boxes that are the same size as that cigar box and they have a metal closure, too. I think they are $4. A good option if you can't find a thrifted one.
I tend to prefer squared corners in storage containers. Even with round paint bottles, I think I can fit more in a container with squared edges. Fabric, lace or ribbon scraps would work in a round container.
Donna👏👏👏 great video! I love that you have the pieces from the past generations🥰 I know the wooden as a sewing basket; way back then they didn’t have rooms of supplies like nowadays. They were also working on mending, darning, tatting, small crochet (doilies, baby caps etc.) This box allowed them to keep it all in one place usually where they sat. Ohhh to go back to those times; I feel it would be an awesome journey if their lives🥰 ❤️😀
I am so happy you enjoyed Rachel. Thank you for letting me know. Others are referring to it as a sewing basket too. Thanks so much for watching. Take care 💖🤗

We travel by plane. I take a glue stick, a crochet hook, small amounts of yarn, dental floss, and a fabric pencil case with my colored pencils, a sharpener, and a small plastic bag for trash. The dental floss container has a cutter for yarn on it. Tina, Al's wife
