That’s so crazy I wonder who the guy chino was talking to at the end is he was probably so happy it sounds so perfect this entire song them playing it live. this is a great song by the deftones one of my favorites tbh
I know. 1995 - 2000 was where his screams were awesome. He started squealing in 2001 and did it almost all the time from 2003 - current times. I hate it when he does that be cause it loses the heaviness in the song.
I don't know that much but it has two versions of it. There's one on the (Like) Linus tape and another one on some demo tape that was made before (Like) Linus. That version has a higher tuning, but that's about it. And yea it's one of their first songs but I think the earliest song was Hogburg Hop which I think was made in 1990 but I'm not sure.
FNM + Duran Duran I’ve never heard this version but by the looks and sound I’d say they were definitely already in the Adrenaline stage for sure....fucking love this!
@@sideskroll obv not he was young hungry and pissed back then. He can still scream he just doesn’t do it the same way and protects what’s left of his chords. He’s 48. You could say the same thing about all these bands that started around then like them
@@romaretaylor9953 Of course I know that. I had a "similar" band back in the late 90s and I also screamed like a mad man. I'm 40 now and I'd die if I did that. But, the thing is I don't do it anymore. You can't "praise" something that is not there anymore. Sure, you can still like their music and follow them. But to say "OMG his screams are exactly the same like way back when"?... No. They are not. His VOICE is not the same. His range is way down now. Ffs, he wasn't even a very "effective" singer back then, imagine now... Point is: He doesn't sound ANYTHING like he did back then. And to say otherwise is to be a blind teenage fangirl.

Ridiculous! Great!
And also, this version has different (and better) lyrics than the other ones. This version doesn't have a studio version so...enjoy it.

Yea I know. I don't think it will ever get back to how his scream is here. I'm just thinkin he'll actually start screaming and stop squealing so much.
It does sound cool. But I think he's getting his scream back. He didn't squeal as much during the Headup at Spaceland.
Lyrics?
this sounds kinda like pumpkins
Chino's screams are still the same :P
Definitely not
@@wendigo445 And they were NOT the same 14 years ago either...
