Laura simply wasn't given the opportunity to explode in the U.S. This is phenominal and untouchable performance by her. This song is iconic in Brazil, because of a soap opera that used this song for one of the main characters who had cancer, and it was also used to raise money and awareness for bone marrow translants in Brazil. She holds a special place in their heart. Also, a close second on this song was the cover that Gabriel Henrique did. A beautiful performance of this song. Loved this and love Laura. ❤

This is a cover of a country song from Wynona Judd but it’s Lara and her pop version that made it successful in many countries.
Especially in Brazil where it topped the charts after being used n the soundtrack of a local soap opera named Laços de Familia.
It is now covered recurrently in brazilian singer contests. Gabriel Henrique did cover it for instance.

Would be interesting to hear you react to ‘Ren - Hi Ren’ (official music video) an English rap artist, that has a very different appoach, his music is much more about bringing together people. This one needs to be listened to from beginning to the very end, where he has a short statement. He has auto-immune disease (I think caused from Lymes disease). Even if you don’t like rap, it should be listened to. Hope you do this one😊

One thing all those song sang in Canada were made to penatre us market…… but when she arrived in New York she was so loved that the manager of Sony music empeach her to penetrtrate…. Competition with Celine… maybe she was too good…. That’s why she’s a queen for decades in Canada europ Russia etc… very sad

I don't think the French-speaking faction ever did well at the Juno Awards. This award is far too much oriented towards the Anglo-American music market. Lara Fabian was nominated several times, but never won it despite her incredible talent and her great strength in live performances, which were so impressive.
Why she didn't win in 1996 and 2001 is inexplicable to me. In both years she was extremely successful in album sales and concerts. Especially her concerts from those years were fantastic.
